Skiing is great! The terrain park is the best in New England but It can get VERY crowded (I typically go Saturday’s) with nowhere to sit inside & long ski-lift wait times (especially bluebird). It is also quite pricey. I paid $160 for a lift ticket on Saturday. In my opinion, that price would be justifiable if there was more lounge space and seating. However, overall it’s great mountain for New England that makes for a memorable skiing experience! There are also some intense woods trails near Carinthia parks

Food options and free bag check are great. Everything else is horrific. Do not ski here with kids. Conditions were ok on some trails but mostly there was a ton of ice. I ski the east so I get it, but we were at a nearby mountain the previous weekend and there was zero ice. With the two feet of snow last week, I’m not sure how Mt Snow managed some of their trails. One of my kids got hurt on an exposed rock that wasn’t properly marked. The lifts are a mess to get on and off of. It was incredibly crowded, elbow to elbow with other skiers and riders. And if you could find a trail that wasn’t packed, people ski way too fast and completely out of control. I almost got hit twice and my other kid, 8 years old, got slammed into by a snowboarder. Never going back to this miserable place.

Great beginners big mountain, when you outgrow your local PA NY and MA mountains this is definitely a great mountain to take it to the next level.

Skiing is decent. Mountain runs are pretty basic straight down mountain. Terrain Park is their big thing. It is big. The food we had at the cafeterias was inedible. Chicken fingers, hamburgers, and fries. There is American ski lodge food, and then there was this. Chicken fingers and fries were $22 and threw half of it out. Finally, it's not a great place for families. Everywhere we went it smelled like cat pee from all the marijuana being smoked. (Welcome to Vermont). In the end it isn't worth the $170 plus dollars for a lift ticket and the high lodging prices. Vail properties motto, high prices, low value.

You can feel a real winter here. Ski resort has a lot of tracks, lifts (with bubbles) and speeding ski slopes. Minuses: high prices, no lights ( they are closed at 4 pm, some lifts at 3:30pm). Pros: so many different tracks, wild nature around you, so many lifts and you can “get lost” in positive sense✌️

Was here for two days for my first time at Mount Snow. The first day was a total bust. The entire mountain was on hold due to high lift conditions. We headed up to Stratton instead, but were able to come ski/board here the second day. I know we had higher winds in the morning, but it was quite annoying the only that was open was one not near the base lodge. What a pain to get to. Regardless, the conditions were great! (besides the North Face) Once the other lifts opened, I got to explore other parts of the mountain. The bubble comes in handy on these windier days. The trails were wide, varied and challenging. I will be coming to this mountain again. I did not even get to everything.

Decent place for Vermont. Can be very crowded. Closest remote ski resort to the major northeast metropolitan areas such as Boston, New York Philadelphia Hartford.

Google
Love it here. The view on the top of the mountain is a true site to see. One of the main problems with this mountain is the lift line and being packed on the easier trails. It is understandable for people who do not know their way around the mountain to review the skiing poorly. But as someone who has lots of experience skiing this exact mountain, I know of the hidden trails and lifts. If you go to North Face or Sunbrook the lines are either short or fast moving. The park, Carinthia, is in my opinion the best in the east. This mountain has solid terrain elsewhere, and I believe skiing all but the main face is pretty good. Overall I am a little bias to the mountain but I give it a 9/10 for its hospitality and fun trails. The mountain gets a 5 star review for me though because of the amazing views while playing Block Blast.

Yelp
Great for Beginners, but Mixed Experience for Advanced Skiers As someone still learning to ski, I personally loved Mount Snow! The green trails were enjoyable, and I felt comfortable progressing at my own pace. The staff did a great job maintaining the trails and keeping things organized. However, my boyfriend and our more advanced friends weren't as impressed and said they likely wouldn't return if it weren't included on our Epic Passes. I will admit that chairlift lines were pretty long and a decent amount of our day was waiting on line. The layout of the lots and shuttle schedules can be a bit confusing as well. However the main lodge I enjoyed as you didn't have to take flights of stairs to get to the bathrooms! There was also a giant roaring fire which was nice to warm up next to. One major downside on the greens was seeing more experienced riders straight-lining and taking out newer skiers, which was scary to watch. That said, I really appreciated the staff actively catching these reckless riders and removing them from the mountain. Overall, a great spot for beginners, but more advanced skiers might find other mountains more appealing.

Judie K.

Yelp
Honestly thought everything was great! Rentals were in top notch quality and I didn't even wait in line long. Staff were super friendly and kind. Had a friend who took lessons and said the instructors were super nice and friendly as well, but probably wasn't worth the price as she still struggled with skiing after. The lifts were well maintained and cared for by lots of staff, so the wait time was not long. The only thing I was caught off guard by was the 20% off discount for food (from the Epic pass) does not apply everywhere on the resort. Not a super big deal but something to be aware of. Would say the pizza and fries were surprisingly tasty and crispy compared to other ski resorts we've been to.

Yelp
I feel helpless as I'm forced to watch the world of winter sports become more insular and elitist by the day. This insidious death spiral is easily observed at Mount Snow - Where the lift tickets are priced exorbitantly & the clientele are as snobbish & ill-mannered as they come. There is no joy or accessibility here. No glimmers of the ski-bum culture (that shaped & defined this whole industry) remain. Sliding over slush & ice for a few hours costs $150. There are no half-day tickets. The lift lines are mayhem. They are loosely directed by young, grumpy, & probably underpaid lifties who rely on a messy system of self-governing to get folks on chairlifts in a fair manner. It doesn't really work. The other riders & skiers on the slopes were notably rude. I noticed a lot of "get out of my way" & "holier than thou" attitudes (despite minding my own business & taking up a respectful amount of space on the mountain). I have been snowboarding for a very long time. No matter where I am or what the conditions are, snowboarding still exhilarates me. I'm still grateful for every opportunity to get outside. That being said, I feel pessimistic for the future. The monopolization of the industry & the sequestering of resources/space for only the affluent will eventually decimate the world of winter sports. The positive things I noticed about Mount Snow: - Decent shuttle system in place with nice shuttle drivers - Creative park - Not beginner friendly, but cool

Yelp
1.14.24, no at all impressed with the grooming. I get weather has been poor this season but the mountain is white and the only strip of skiable corduroy I found was over on Carinthia. North Face was horrid and the three lift operators at the bottom were putting minimal effort in cleaning up all the chopped ice you had to ride on to get on the lift. I will give one positive, they had all their sh*t together having lift line set up before opening, Okemo struggles with this. Only perk about coming here is you can stop at Dots before or after for a delicious meal.

Joseph D.

Yelp
Best experience for rental skis. The process is super quick, the skis are in decent condition, and there is plenty of room to put everything on. As for the trails themselves, I really like their layout. I recommend everyone try Long John it's a lot of fun and has absolutely stunning views. They have 6 high speed lifts and great views on the way up. Great experience.

Yelp
Mount Snow. My favorite ski resort of all the ones I visited (limited) and farthest away from NYC. It's been 6yrs since the last time we came here. So glad to be back! Weather conditions were clear one day and foggy cold the next. Nice views. Not many lifts were open when we came (early mid- December) but decent enough that we were able to go up the mountains. We went early in the week (Monday to Thursday) which was lovely because no crowd. We had the space to practice and get used to the mountains again after last season. We had a friend that is a newbie and she had the whole bunny hill to practice without any worries. Amazing times! Thanks again for your beautiful mountain and services!!!!

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Fantastic skiing, especially if you like cruising down blue squares. What's awful is the way the resort and lodges are managed by Vail resorts. That parts complete garbage. I would never stay here at the Grand Summit Resort, and also bring your own food because there's limited options, or sometimes no food at all.

Yelp
I was cheated by Mount Snow. I drove a long way and Mount Snow refused to honor the ticket I bought. They said my only alternative was to pay the full $129 for a new ticket Details: I bought a one day epic pass. I called see if I could go to both Okemo and Mount Snow on my pass. It was clearly explained to me: the 24 hour clock starts the first time you use the lift. I can start my ski day at 1:00 pm at Okemo then, the next morning, ski until 1:00 pm at Mount Snow. The information I was given turned out to be incorrect. The customer service counter at Mount Snow acknowledged that I was told I could use my pass but that I was misinformed. Liana attempted to resolve the problem but her boss refused to budge. She said I must pay $129 to cover their error. I called Epic Pass support. They also acknowledged that I had been misinformed but refused to make good.

Yelp
So disappointed with Mount Snow. I had a complaint last year when my family of five went skiing for my daughter's birthday. Was told all lifts were open when I called. Paid a lot for lift tickets, hotel and rentals. When we got there (after a long drive) only one lift was open, it only went 1/2 way up, and was black diamond/too advanced for my child - not to mention it was over an hour wait to go up. All I was told was that the lifts froze and that I could not get a refund or lift ticket for another day. I subsequently sent an email asking what actually happened and to share my displeasure. No response. Sent a second. Still no response to this day. And yet I get constant emails about epic pass, etc. Not going to Mount Snow anymore.

Yelp
We stopped by for a day of skiing and had a great day. It's been awhile since I've been here but it's exactly how I remember it. This has been a weird winter all over and there has not been a lot of new snowfall this season. However, we were impressed with the level of grooming on the trails and how well they maintained the snow they had. We were fortunate to be able to come on a weekday. Hardly any lines and great skiing all day. Decent elevation means longer trails and also plenty of blue trails to cruise. A great place to visit if you are just starting out in Vermont or have a group with mixed levels of ability.

Yelp
Feb 3, 2024. I understand the pitfalls of going on a weekend but the parking lots are horrible. No signs or staff to tell you the lots are full. Drove aimlessly for 45 minutes. If it weren't for the $130.00+ lift tickets already purchased I would have left.

Adrian H.

Yelp
Mount Snow is harassing climbers and back country skiers. If you are a climber / back country skier you should consider other ski resorts. I was climbing on the approved climbing route at 8am and got told by ski patrol the Mountain was closed for climbing. No real explanation other than basically "my bosses don't want you on the mountain". Will take my family and my dollars somewhere else from now on.

Patti C.

Yelp
Nice to see activity at the mountain in the off season. Great music by Fever and some incredible local restaurant fare. Cold beverages available at the Station Tavern window were perfect pairings for those munchies. Shout out to Trail 87 and the great sammies and street corn ( which sold out before I got a pic!!)

Gina L.

Yelp
Such an amazing mountain to ski or snowboard on. The slopes were super fun and they had some great beginner and intermediate slopes. The ski lift actually slows down when people get off which is nice as not many places do that and then it's chaos they also had a lot of food and drink options around the mountain and the rentals were nice to use while on the mountain. The snow was powdery which isn't easy to find in the northeast. Great experience and will probably end up getting a season pass next year.

Scott W.

Yelp
The people who work here really make the experience worth it. Slopes are good. Some trails aren't open during the weekdays which means some greens and blues can get crowded. Been here for two seasons and have had a good time each time. My advice: buy the epic pass ahead of time so you don't get gouged.

Chase B.

Yelp
We came on a 3-day weekend. Friday was nice, no lines. Saturday was packed but the workers are efficient. Rental is very easy, the workers are from all over the world and are professional and get you the right gear for your size and weight. The courses itself are pretty good and Mt. Snow has the most snow maker machines so on days where it wasn't the best the machines make up for it. It's no West Coast but I enjoy green courses and just cruising so that's good enough for me. The lessons are actually very helpful. Group lessons are $100 for 2.5 hours. Do not do the private lessons, that costs $460. Group lessons on a less crowded day essentially become private lessons.

Kelly Y.

Yelp
After visiting Mount Snow, I fell in love with winter sports even more! My friends and I drove all the way up to Vermont from NYC because some of us have never been to Vermont and really wanted to get in a last snowboarding session before the season ends. Parking spots fill in quick so you'll want to get to the resort by 8am to secure a spot.. rental lines, compared to a lot of other resorts are amazing and very efficient! My friend once waited 2 hours at a resort..we only waited 30 min max here so it was a huge upgrade for us! It's also super cost efficient so you don't have to worry about breaking the bank. Mountains are huge and non crowded so you can rest assure you'll have all the space you need to practice! Snow is super powdery and non icy on most days as well. Ski lifts have covers that make you feel more secure and employees are much nicer ! By far my favourite mountain on the east coast so I can't wait to return!

Blake G.

Yelp
I am a skier but usually save my Yelp reviews for bars and restaurants. I saw some other reviews so figured I would add my two cents for this ski resort. We visited during winter 20-21 so my review is based upon the current Covid restrictions. Sure people can complain about having to wear masks or seeing someone without a mask but I will say, the staff did a good job of gently enforcing adherence by guests and even gave out masks to people that didn't have proper face coverings. We did book a time for the lodge as we anticipated a cold day but the temperature got warmer by the time our slot arrived so we stopped in for a minute but the process was easy. Now onto the Mountain. The amount of terrain is impressive and we were able to explore all day without repeating many trails. Conditions were very favorable for fast and enjoyable skiing. Trails weren't as challenging as some other Northeast resorts but a nice variety of challenge. Lots of lifts available although the ones at the lodge had very long lines. Upper trail lifts had much more manageable wait times. Parking was adequate with an effective shuttle bus system. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Signage was good as we weren't very familiar with the mountain. Overall a fun place to ski and explore.

Michelle A.

Yelp
Great mountain with lots of different trails for different skills. They have lots of great amenities such as a free bag check and tons of rental lockers. Parking usually isn't an issue, unless you come on a holiday weekend. Even then, if you come early enough, you'll find a spot. No need to pay for preferred parking. There's also a ton of food options in the main lodge. The food isn't terribly expensive. Our favorite was the burritos. The beer spot, Canned, offers a ton of local canned (hence the name) beer. They also have a waffle cabin, which is necessary after a long day of snowboarding. One tip though: if you come here on a busy weekend and want to book lessons, make sure to book far in advance. I didn't realize how packed it would be and tried to get a lesson for my son. They were booked solid for the whole weekend! Lesson learned for the future.

Colin P.

Yelp
Skiing is great. Lines are a bit long and crowded given COVID. Dining is available - reservations open at 7am on the day of use. Very nice trails that are challenging and fun.

Yelp
I have been a loyal patron and seasons pass holder at Mount Snow for over 10 years. I ate the food. Drank the drinks. Attended concerts and festivals. Brought friends with me every damn time. The whole 9 yards. But this year marks the year that Mt Snow died to me. I ended up having to leave the mountain without skiing (4hr round trip for nothing) because staff refused to provide me with my seasons pass. When I asked for a refund on my pass, The supervisor at the main face ticket windows was VERY rude and condescending towards me. She told me the only way I could ski that day was if I bought a $120 pass. No refunds on seasons passes. No exceptions. Nothing says customer service like telling a 10+yr szn pass holder to f*#k off! :) Shortly after this, I injured myself at work and was instructed by my physician that I can't ski this year. Applied for a refund. Once again, I am being forced to jump through hoops as vail drags their feet. They could refuse to refund me if I didn't report my injury within 30 days of injury date!!!! How pathetic. Their snow conditions have went downhill. Fewer trails open to save $$$. The terrain parks offer no variety or change from previous years. Price gouging has worsened. Their customer service is atrocious. The lodges are pathetically staffed. They have fired a majority of their senior employees to replace them with more international workers..... the list goes on. Vail resorts ruined this great mountain and is quickly killing the local economy, too. Don't waste your money at mount snow.

John S.

Yelp
I counted 13 tubing lanes and only 5 where open , 8 CLOSED , the average wait time was 25 minutes , for a 20 second tube ride , open up 5 more lanes and cut the wait time in half , by the way you by the tickets advance so your stuck waited in long lines , waste your time or waste your money its to bad they don't open more lanes , I will try another ski resort and probably won't be back ...

Robert G.

Yelp
Mount Snow is my all-time favorite ski resort that I've been to so far in my life. A bunch of us meet up with my uncle and other family to ski there every year. We rent a place to stay across the road and spend all day skiing there for two or three days. They have my favorite runs and even on days where there are a lot of people, the runs are nice and long so it has always felt worthwhile to have to wait. We didn't go last year because of being unsure with Covid, but our last trip there was in Feb of 2020 right before Covid hit the U.S. and I'm sure now that things are settling, we will be back in late 2021 or early 2022! My only wish for this resort is that they'd have lights. I really love getting up super early in the morning from our stay to look out at the mountain at sunrise and going over as early as possible to ski for as long as we can. But I'd ski all night if they had lights and were open later. Still an amazing ski resort though!

Joanne K.

Yelp
It's the 2nd week of April and we out here! (Started writing this April of Last year). 2017 was a particularly good snowfall year. In April, it was not too crowded because maybe people in the city don't expect that there is still snow to board on! It's a year by year basis! But it's super exciting to have a longer snow season. The trees are beautifully covered in snow. It seriously so gorgeous! They appear white, no splash of green in sight! In general, East Coast is known as the Ice Coast! If you're a snowboarder I reccommend Butt pads, knee pads, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or an expert! Even experts fall, you never know.

Yelp
My snow was beautiful with fluffy white snow and great trails. My family in I stayed close by in our rented house.

Yelp
I really, really, REALLY want to like this place. Mt Snow is a venerable ski mountain from my early ski days in the 1970s. And as the availability of good ski mountains is in peril, levying strong criticism on a ski operation is anathema to the sport. Still, my day at Mt Snow was a mix trending on the downside and with two stars, I'm being generous. I'll say that for a weekday, Mt Snow is awesome. For a weekend, you might as well ski down the ramp from the upper level of the George Washington Bridge to the Henry Hudson Parkway in rush hour. Not worth it. It is a large mountain with plenty of terrain and challenges. However, the ergonomics aren't up to par. Case in point: The Carinthia area with its many lifts and runs is an apparent strategy to get the testosterone-overflowing ski and snowboard traffic apart from the general population. Virtually all of the Carinthia runs have features. Which are vastly underused as most of the snowboard traffic takes the rest of the areas and not Carinthia. Actually, we found the best snow in Carinthia and skied there for much of the day, avoiding the obstructive features but nonetheless having a good time as the entire area had at least half the density as the rest of the resort. Much of the rest of the resort was a mess. Most of the green and blue runs were used by free-style skiers and boarders, who used these runs instead of the trails with dedicated terrain features in Carinthia. As a result, out-of-control skiers and boarders were careening down the mountain on supposedly "green" beginner trails at top speed while mothers with young children were trying to negotiate what had become trails of snow-corn moguls between fields of ice. There was no Safety Patrol, Ambassadors, Ski Patrol nor any management presence at the chokepoints nor anywhere on the trails. I've been skiing since the early 1970s and found the conditions on the main trails as less than desirable for maintaining a safe environment. The North Face, ostensibly the area with the most challenging blues and black diamonds, was very skiable and amazingly, without the out-of-control expert skiers/boarders. The Carinthia Lodge, still new and shiny, had a superb sit-down lunch upstairs, recommended. It will be nice to come up on a weekday and see the difference. As it is, a weekend is definitely not the place to come up here.

Richard P.

Yelp
Ever since vail bought mount snow it's been down hill not just there but also hunter the lines are longer the maintenance On equipment and lifts is down The grooming of the trails is down customer service is horrible just kept being told I can't help you you have to go to our website

Peter K.

Yelp
What a total nightmare this place is One line for lessons, then get in line for lift ticket to pick up even if you got online then got online for rentals . Folks and ski teachers are super nice but corporate needs to figure out how to streamline bc we waited so long to get kids stuff , we skipped the day . So we canceled rentals/lift ticjet for 4 adults that were planning on skiing. Also half day lessons are two hours.... Half day ends at 1130? (930-1130?!!!!) I loved coming here back in the day. Id like to put something great bc nostalgia but what an utter nightmare this place has become under epic. Lost $500-800 on the adults

Jay H.

Yelp
I'm boycotting Vail Resorts. I suggest you do too. Last year we pre-purchased lift-tickets at the Boston Ski Show, but weren't able to use them due to the ski-season coming to an abrupt halt due to the pandemic. Called several time for a refund/credit to no avail. And now this............. Skiers, snowboarders frustrated with Vail Resorts refusal of refunds, credits https://www.wcvb.com/article/skiers-frustrations-stowe-okemo-mt-snow-vail-resorts-refusing-refunds-credits/35219378

Yelp
I used to love skiing at Mount Snow as a kid and now that I'm a parent I bring my son and he loves it but this past weekend might be our last. The snow conditions were finally better but the mountain was overcrowded. Really really overcrowded! Dangerously overcrowded! So much so that it ruined skiing, each lift line took 45 minutes! When you finally got on the slopes you were afraid of how many people were on the runs and that you would get hit or hit someone. Since Vail took over all the changes they've made have been bad and from talking to Mount Snows long time employees no one agrees with or likes the new Managment. Vail doesn't care about safety they are over selling the mountain and people are getting hurt! I'd rather them raise prices and cap the amount of people they let on! Until something changes I'm not going back and if you care about skiing safely I would recommend you do the same!

George C.

Yelp
Didn't buy a pass this year. Bought the entire family other group passes and a local mountain pass. Friends and their families did the same. All of us had been skiing at Mt Snow for several years straight. Not anymore. I doubt we are the only ones. Had repeated bad experiences at Mt Snow last year. Staff, protocol, tickets-- and it wasn't COVID related. It was because they blow. They just don't treat people well anymore and they don't operate a mountain worth paying for. We wasted a lot of money and time lugging our kids up there to be seriously disappointed and treated poorly. Story goes that Vail fired a bunch of longtime employees. Bad vibes all around the mountain from staff last year. Mt Snow blows now, not a fun place to go. They'll be ok though, they'll still have plenty of Tri Staters-- but they'll profit less this season than they would have had Vail not done such a poorly executed hatchet job on this formerly really fun mountain. I feel bad for all the great people who left and the good people who still work there. Hopefully those Colorado corporate cornballs will come around and/or get bought out sometime soon. PS I really do wonder if a lot of the recent positive reviews are real. Most of them seem very generic. They are not as specific as the negative reviews and more importantly, they don't have as much idiosyncrasy to how they're being written. They all could be from the same two or three people and they could be applied to any mountain. There are some other weird things like high star ratings and notes in the review that are negative but don't make any sense and aren't actually bad-- as if the author is seeking credibility without damaging the perception of the business. Just saying... lots of long time visitors upset with the mountain and loads of generic good reviews? Cheaper to pay for fake reviews than to run a ski mountain well.

Lindsey B.

Yelp
This is a fun ski resort. For western mass people from the Springfield area it's close-- only an hour and a half away versus somewhere like Killington that you tack on an additional hour. We went last Saturday and it was PACKED...long lift lines for the main lifts but what do you expect on the weekend. We did venture over to the North face for the first time-- aka black diamond trails. These are accessible trails for people like me who don't mind braving one or two black diamonds but isn't an expert skier by any means! Haha. I ended up going down all of them, and this was a nice area because it was definitely less crowded and more chill. Nice customer service and a good selection of restaurants. They also had live music last weekend which was fun. Some glades trails but nothing too spectacular. Lots of blue trails and greens but they definitely get messy and full of moguls toward the end of the day! That being said-- we have enjoyed the couple times we have gone skiing here this year.

Yelp
Snow day and three of their major lifts are down. No excuse. Vail Resorts just don't care. IKON next year

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Updated the website with it's mask policy but failed to. mention that you are not welcome to sit at a table or in any of their lodges with out a vaccine card. Drove 3hrs and spend $400 with my 6 and 7 year old to ski for the day and what a waste of time. I am not arguing the policy I am arguing their total lack of communication. I feel like they left it off the website so they could grab those unvaccinated to come tot he mountain and then make us stay outdoors. Don't waste your money!

John K.

Yelp
The skiing was mid, the glades were non-existent, and half of the black diamonds were closed off. But my biggest complaint is being OVERCHARGED for food. I went inside the lodge to buy french fries (posted as $6) and I picked up a bottle of mountain dew (the generic 12oz bottle) - it did not have a price posted. I initially tried to pay with cash however they only accepted cards. I used my gift card (that I got for my birthday not cool guys). I didn't know how much they charged it, but when I got home I checked my balance and it turns out they charged me $15.52. So either 1. The small bottled soda costs 9 dollars, or 2. They robbed me of my money. Mount Snow, this is not the kind of behavior I would expect from such a place. It was my first time visiting, and I am very disappointed. I would greatly appreciate it if my money were to be returned to me immediately.

Talk about a joke of a mountain. They charge an arm and a leg for a lift ticket even when the mountain has crappie snow. Now they have snowblowers but god forbid they use them. Side note for all out of towners, bring packed lunches unless you wanna spend $16 for just the cheeseburger. Highway robbery

Yelp
After all these years, total disappointment by getting treated terribly by Pete, one of the self-proclaimed managers who is nothing more than a candy store racketeer, an impoverished mind who will never see the big picture. If he spent the time to take care of customers, he wouldn't be so frantic and unable to handle stressful situations. It would also help if he cleared out the parking lot since there were no handicapped parking spots left for us. We came with two families after setting aside what would have been a great weekend in VT and bought tickets online two weeks ago for Saturday but it was -5 at the base and with our kids sick, I called at 9:22 AM and asked it if it was okay to come on Sunday instead. They said no problem, come in Sunday to fix it. So, I go to the front, they took care of our friends and then said to go customer relations and Pete there tells me the best way to get what I want done is to buy new tickets and then come back and refund them for a snow guarantee and then apply what I bought to these tickets. He said he knew how the system works, so do it. When I went back outside and waited on line again, the young lady took my phone and told me to come back inside to a see Pete again. He tells me to come up in front (he's got my phone) and gets all sideways, tells me to get back in line and that he will no longer give me an exchange. He then claims that j must be lying. I said look up my friend's situation. Then he says that they should have done that and begins reprimanding the person who actually helped my friends and called me a liar. What kind of "manager" does this? After 40 minutes, I was then told that I could ski unless I paid $130 more. With our two families waiting, I was forced to pay, calmly reminding him that my company has a corporate relationship that he simply does not get. What on earth Mount Snow/Vail Resorts? You let a mouth breather like Pete talk to customers? I want my money back, and will get it tenfold.

Yelp
This was the worst ski experience I have ever had! In the business world, this would be considered a breach of contract. For a $100+ lift ticket/ day. You would expect access to the mountain you are paying for. Not here. Only two lifts were open yesterday, providing access to about 1/4 of the mountain, and almost all greens. Today around 11 they added the Bluebird lift, which would have been great if the mountain hadn't become bottlenecked bc no other lifts were open. It took OVER AN HOUR to get on that lift!!!

Yelp
Mount Snow is the place to go fosho. They pack a punch of pleasure through powdery pines running along each fantastically tremendous trail. There's plenty of optionality across the mountain for all friends and families to enjoy, regardless of everyone's respective skill-levels. Renting equipment here can be a bit pricey, but reasonably so. The staff working here are friendly, helpful and as accommodating as can be. The crowd is decent, few frat-stars, some elderly, few families, and a couple regular ski-extraordinaries well-known through legends of old. Overall, it's a great time here that you don't want to miss out on, even if you don't know how to shred.

Yelp
I will come back here only during weekdays. It was too crowded during weekend especially on Saturday. The line for the lift were all crazy. All the trails were packed. The line to get food was even busy. The mountain was very pretty though. Some of the workers were very rude. Rental boots were smelly.

Yelp
Hello. If you're planning a ski trip as a beginner, I do not advise visiting this mountain. The 'green' (beginner) trails are simply not for beginners and I quite literally saw my life flash before my eyes multiple times. Furthermore, the staff that patrol the slopes will actually ski right by you as you're rolled over in a ditch. Nothing about this place is fun and skiing should be cancelled. This is my official statement, please advise. (Ashton if you see this I love you)

Yelp
I wish to express my dissatisfaction with Mount Snow's business practices for the recent Founders Day event, which was the worst customer experience I have ever encountered at a ski resort. Mount Snow oversold the mountain in a big way. A friend and I each purchased tickets online, and planned a day-trip to the mountain from Hartford, Connecticut. We left early enough that we anticipated we would arrive at the mountain between 9:30 am and 10:00 am. However, before we even got to Wilmington, we encountered a monumental traffic jam, and it took us over 2 hours to crawl from Wilmington to Mount Snow. They ran out of parking spaces in all lots, yet they posted signs directing drivers to other lots that were also full. Literally hundreds of cars were crawling through, trying to find spaces that did not exist. We finally parked our car in a fire lane where it was illegal to park; however, many other vehicles were already parked there, so we followed suit. We knew we could not leave the car there all day for safety reasons, so we only stayed long enough to visit the Guest Services building to cash in our vouchers. We arrived at Guest Services at noon. Guest Services provided us with $12 vouchers applicable for a ticket purchase on another day, as described in the exceptions to the guarantee terms that are posted on their website. While this response may be in line with their official policies, I feel that an exception should have been made due to Mount Snow's role in creating this fiasco in the first place. We should have been issued full vouchers for another day at the mountain. By overselling the event, they didn't just create an unpleasant experience for their customers. They created multiple safety hazards in the overcrowded roadways, parking lots, fire lanes, buildings and ski trails that could have resulted in injury or loss of life. I shudder to think what would have happened at the mountain, had a fire broken out in one of those crowded buildings. There is no way that emergency vehicles would have been able to access an emergency. Also, by creating a monumental traffic jam, they compromised other local and regional businesses for their own financial gain. Mount Snow should take a cue from one of their competitors, Magic Mountain, and limit the number of tickets sold to match the capacity of the resort. Magic has a self-imposed daily sales ticket limit (1,500 day tickets) to keep lift lines and crowds to a minimum, even on the busiest holiday weekends. Below is a link to that policy on their website: https://www.magicmtn.com/tickets-passes Mount Snow: Please consider these comments in planning for future events. Note that I have been skiing at Mount Snow since 1975, and Friday's experience has left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth.

Yelp
What a lovely place to ski. I really fell in love with this place my first time here. From the warm greetings from all the staff to the chill atmosphere- I am a convert. Not to mention great conditions! We chose to bring a picnic smorgasbord among friends and found very comfortable accommodations to eat and chill and rest at the tables. The kids did convince us to buy them waffles - it wasn't difficult- the smells from the waffle stand at the base of the mountain just permeate the air and draw people in and rightly so! Parking was easy - I didn't really think anything was that far and the shuttles seemed to run frequently- although we found a great spot, so it's hard to really speak to this. The bathrooms were clean and well tended to. Something I often see lacking, but not here. And the free bag check is a fantastic idea! It really encourages folks to create room and keep the clutter down so everyone can enjoy the tables and chair without too much stuff in the way. Definitely take advantage of it! After my legs turned to jello and everyone else kept going I discovered a great list of beers on tap and live music upstairs. It was a find! I couldn't see my friends each time they came down to get on the lift. Speaking of lifts... I tend to feel claustrophobic in enclosed lifts and I realized I actually get sea sick from them- thankfully you have two options here the bubble enclosed six or the open six which both get you to the same place. As for trails, there is definitely something for everyone here. It being my first day out in a couple of years stuck to greens and blues and I had plenty of trails open to lay and explore. My friends hit up the north side and the Terrain park and were very happy with both! I will be back for sure - particularly since, if you plan ahead one can get good deals to come ski a great mountain.

Yelp
I was here twice in my life, long ago. We had Peak Passes so needed to use one at Mount Snow. My boyfriend changed the name to Mount Blow. We arrived after a long ride and scored 4th row parking. The South American parking attendants and lift workers were very nice. The older ambassador welcomed us. This is where the nice stopped. This is a big mountain. Mother Nature has impacted the snow situation in a bad way. We knew the conditions would be iffy. We came with open minds. We understand spring skiing and were ready for fun. Due to limited trails, those open were jammed. Folks here have a don't give a S%$# attitude racing down the slopes totally out of control. Watching from the lift rides and being on the actual mountain we were shocked by the mayhem. I had two near collisions with crazed boarders and skiers coming from behind. An errant board nearly smashed into my bf's head. On the lift, a group of out of control older teens pelted him with snow balls. Mind you my man is 6'3" and does not take kindly to such ridiculous antics. He gave them a verbal lashing and rather than it ending, the harassed him until he boarded away (their skills sucked in comparsion and could not chase him). At that point we left. Oh, the lunch time scene inside the base lodge was packed to the gills as one would expect. After lunch that tables were littered with trash. As I said, most here do not give a s$%$ and left their crap for someone else to clean. Wow, what a weird vibe. We are seasoned boarders and have never seen anything like it. The ribbons of manmade snow were decent from 9-12 and then the snow turned to slush and huge patches of yellow ice were all over the trails. Unless there is a natural snow fall, southern VT is done in my opinion, for the season.

Yelp
Went to Mount Snow a couple weekends ago for the first time ever. I was quite excited because it was my first trip of the season. When we got here, we ended up waiting half an hour to get our lift and rental tickets and another half hour to get our rentals. We headed over to the learning area, where there was a long wait for the lifts. By this time, we've already spent a lot of time waiting in lines and for our friends to get ready. Maybe I am not experienced enough, but I didn't expect a long wait for the lifts just to get on the so-called bunny slopes. After this, we went over to the Blue Ridge Express lifts, where we ended waiting AN HOUR just to get on the lifts. I was getting impatient at this point. By the time we got down the mountain, it was already 2PM. Everybody was tired from all the waiting and bruised from the icy slopes. My friend and I decided to go to the learning area again to practice our beginner skills. There were no lines for the lifts, so we ended up going up and down many times. With the disappointment that my friends and I had, I decided to read up on reviews to see if people had the same experience as I did. It appears that this has been and on-going problem and not just an isolated incident. I am not sure I will be back.

Yelp
Big fan of Mount Snow! Being from CT, I believe this Ski resort is worth the drive. My friends have season passes which came with some perks, including a free lesson and equipment for guests. I took advantage of that and got a free lesson from Kyle. Great guy, great instructor! I can't directly comment on the prices since everything i got was free, but I can definitely tell you that the resort and trails are pretty nice. This season hasn't been the best for skiing/snowboarding due to the weather but Mt. Snow makes a good effort on keeping their visitors happy. The check in point can get pretty crowded and busy but the lady at the best was very nice despite having grumpy customers. I got my boots and helmet ($14 rental) after checking in and everyone was really nice. There are a variety of trails and lifts for everyone to enjoy. While talking to my friends who have been skiing/snowboarding from over 10 years, they definitely recommend the season passes for Mt. Snow if you're from the CT area. Tip: Get your season passes way before the season starts! Saves you alot of money. Also, if you plan ahead, bring your own food! They have some limited options that are obviously very expensive so bringing I'd definitely recommend packing something up for the day. Overall, definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
A snowboarder's paradise. A skier's purgatory. Basic mountain. Not very challenging. Overrun by the snowboard crowd.

Yelp
The place looked in terrific shape. However my group paid for one of their beginner instruction classes, and the instructioner was extremely unprofessional. Kevin lectured a beginners class, and clearly had no patience with the people who found the class to be more challenging. He kept screaming "this is very easy." My man you're not teaching an advanced class, you're teaching people who never put their foot into a ski board before. Patience is a virtue! A member of my group fell off at a good distance, was in pain and could not get up at all. This guy screamed at the person to get up rather than asking if they were okay, and proceeded with their lesson. The person who fell, got left back and had to leave. Their facilities look absolutely fine, but they should really review the performance and methods of their instructors.

Yelp
I really wanted to like it here, but was sadly disappointed. The mountain has such potential but it was absolutely mobbed. I've never seen anything like it. The trails were just jammed, with a miserable combination of screw-you-speedsters and staring-at-my-boots beginners. Considering how crowded the trails were, the lift lines weren't bad but there were individual skiers just shuffling through the lines ("pardon me, excuse me" ) to get to the front, which I thought was just bizarre. You know the mountain etiquette is bad when the teenagers complain that people are rude. On the trails, I saw more than a few incidents that (in my opinion) would have warranted intervention by Ski Patrol; unfortunately, there wasn't a Ski Patrol nearby, so I can't say whether they'd agree. (I did see quite a few rescues, which was no surprise given the number of people on the hill.) This was the first time in years that I've worried about letting my kids (who are teenagers and good skiers) go off by themselves. The lodge was mayhem. Trash everywhere. I'm pretty used to the crowded lodge scene but there wasn't room to stand or move around. When we finally scored a table in the bar (after waiting an hour), we had to elbow our way through this crowd of people who just refused to get out of the way. It was exactly like trying to squeeze out of a crowded subway car at rush hour. One woman, standing near our table, set her drink on our table so she could gesticulate with both hands as she talked. It was a holiday weekend, so maybe that accounts for the crowds. And I guess the resort can't be blamed for rude people. But after selling that many tickets, is it unreasonable to think the resort would put out extra racks? There was equipment laying on the ground EVERYWHERE because the racks were full. It was not a totally negative experience. The trails are interesting and fun, and the resort workers seemed polite and mostly friendly. The parking lot shuttle service is really well organized and quick. The snow conditions weren't bad. Would I go back? Maybe, if I was absolutely positive that it would not be so crowded. If I had to choose between a ski day like that and staying home, I'd have to think for a while. Would I go there with little kids, or novice skiers? Not a chance.
