We stayed here for the week and loved it. Easy to find, quiet, and really peaceful. |The facilities were great & the camp kitchen had everything we needed. |It’s close to the local mountain walks e.i. Bluff Knoll etc, but we found Mt Trio a shorter and just as rewarding little climb. |Even survived a big night of rain on our last night, no dramas at all. Just a great spot to relax and enjoy. |We will definitely be back !!

Picked a spot on the grounds. This one is on us.. we picked one with a metric button tonne of mosquitoes. Moved to a better location, still on the camp grounds, had a good night. Shame about the whole "can't have your own camp fire" thing. I get why, but I was looking forward to sharing a campfire with the wife on her birthday.

I enjoyed camping in amongst the mallee trees at this camp. The camp kitchen was well designed reusing materials from the old shearing shed and the Gnowangerlup Railway Station. Beautiful timbers! The showers were clean with hot water. Much appreciated. And the campground hosts were wonderful.

We love this place, the location is spectacular. We have been coming here for 10 years but Easter 2025 might have been our last, reason being: TOO MANY PEOPLE We arrived late on Thursday after a 5hr drive, inc hitting a poor roo to be “welcomed” by a hysterical/ borderline rude lady way too satisfied of the lecture she gave us for arriving late. A rule we were unaware of. Far from a nice start to a holiday. Then to experience a hectic weekend at a campground packed with people that have no camping etiquette. Examples being: large groups making noise way past any commonsensical time with music and even KARAOKE, which included mic. Hundreds of car doors opening and closing what felt like 24/7 and GENERATORS in the tent area. Far from remotely enough toilets and showers - be ready to queue up for a good while. The good: apart from that one before mentioned lady, the staff does a wonderful job keeping this place replenished and clean, not a small feat! The place has a wonderful rustic vide and breathtaking views. The location is still spectacular but if you love real camping and nature, you may be disappointed, so do yourself a favor and do not come here during long weekends as you will have trouble hearing the birds through all the noise. The owners clearly intend to scale up the tourism business, I just hope they realise before it’s too late that they’re killing what made this place once great. Also, it’s quite pricey all things considered.

Great location, and would have been a fantastic camping spot if there had been a limit on the number of campers over the holiday weekend. There was very limited amenities for the number of people in the camp ground. The addition of food vans, wine tasting, and campfires were excellent. A great place for last minute plans but maybe in the future a cap on number of campers would make the campsite even better, or just increasing number of toilets and showers for campers. Will be back but might stay away during public holidays.

We loved the concept of this camping site. Fantastic location, beautiful view, massive space, a lot of wildlife, cosy communal areas, you do feel you are "in the wild". Whilst we were there during Easter which was very busy indeed (and the camping site cannot be blamed by other people's lack of good manners), the staff worked tirelessly and were very nice. The portable loos next to us were serviced at least twice a day and we got good recommendations for hikes. We would definitely go back, the place must be even better on a normal weekend.

Stayed here for over Easter on unpowered site. Location was great with views on mnt Trio and another peak. What wasnt so great was that it was far, far away from the toilets and showers. There were however spread over the fields portable loo's. These were fine on Saturday in the morning, but absolutely overflowing and filthy in the late afternoon. It wasnt emptied and the next morning only toilet paper was dropped off! There were only 3 flushing toilets and 3 showers for females and males similar. These were kept clean but in my opinion not enough to support such a large influx of people. The staff were friendly enough, but I think that $46 p/n even for Easter period was a bit overpriced for what we got.

This place easily has one of the best views, facilities, and locations in WA. I was genuinely excited to stop here, being so close to the Stirling Range and right between Perth and Esperance. On the day of my stay here, we were hit by some really heavy rain and unexpected road closures, so I had to stop driving a few times and ended up arriving later than planned. I called around 4 PM to explain the delay and apologise, and I thought everything was fine. The person checking us in kindly waited over an hour, which I really appreciated. But when we arrived, I was surprised by how unwelcoming and almost aggressive the greeting was. It caught me off guard, especially after reading so many positive reviews. Honestly, if my late arrival was going to be an issue, I would have preferred they just cancelled my booking and kept the payment—I could have headed to Albany without a problem. Being met with that kind of attitude just felt unnecessary. This could very well be an isolated incident. Perhaps I just caught this person on a bad day. I truly hope it wasn't for another reason—because that would be a real shame. Would I recommend it? Yeah, the location and setup are fantastic. Would I stay again? Probably not.
