A superb meal, great ambience, and charming service. Burrito bowl with pulled beef was exceptional as was my partner’s chicken quesadilla. Pineapple margarita was delicious and the wine pleasant and great value. Rayden (forgive my spelling) was a very charming host and fostered a great vibe. A very memorable evening. Thank you

There was a lot of smoke from the kitchen for inside seating otherwise the food is absolutely delicious. They had good gluten-free alternatives but not for dessert. Much recommend place.

Excellent taco, nacho and burrito options. The menu isn't too big, so you won't struggle too much to choose. Get the bean dip (it comes with chilli crisp) - you only live once. There was a coconut lime pie that I am looking forward to enjoying in the future; otherwise, there are 2 dessert options at most. There are no reservations, and the place is quite compact! Larger group set-ups are definitely possible, but be aware of availability and come ahead of time!

A little bit of Mexico in Norway. Great mexican food, family of four is very pleased. :) Nice tacos, great quesadilla with guacamole! Glasses of water refilled almost instantly, overall you have a great service. :)

One of the best Mexican in Oslo. Great cocktails too. Gotta reserve your seats or you’ll be waiting quite a while to get a seat at peak times.

Google
Food was amazing, i expected a bit more spice but still amazing. The waitress didn't inform that the extra taco wraps was extra and the way she said that we could order more implied that it was included otherwise service was good. Its really small tables, and not really suitable for the menu they provide since we had to dump things on the side table.

Really good food! I highly recommend the Beef Birra wonderful. Also had the chicken tacos. Drinks were also really nice fresh and on point. Definitely will come back! P. S. The queso, guacamole and chips combo is a killer!

Very nice nachos. Next time I will ask them to put the chips at the side to prevent them from getting soggy. But the salsa, guacamole and cheese were really good 👌

Yelp
Amazing service. Waiters were very attentive and welcoming. Fast service and food prep. Constantly filled up our water cups. Decor is cute and bright. As far as the food goes: Let me say that I'm from San Diego, right on the border of Mexico. This was not authentic mexican food, but it was still tasty and the portions were huge. I ordered the carnitas tacos - the meat was juicy, but not flavored authentically. Came with rice and black beans and guacamole (which had a nice flavor despite not having chunks of avocado). The boyfriend ordered the steak quesadilla. It had a salsa that resembled Pace Picante sauce inside. Meh...not my cup of tea. Overall, everything was a little bland and not totally authentic, but what can you really expect so far away from Mexico? It was good and I liked it!

Yelp
Nachos with carne asada "beef" on top = worth every krone. It was so flavorful and delicious. Cheese and gucamole were fresh and the chips were crunchy! Was craving Mexican food and this place definitely satisfied my craving. I'm from California and this place was comparable to the hole in the wall places all over Orange County and LA. Shrimp tacos = 4 stars. Would have tasted better if there was more flavor. Still good tho.

Yelp
Good food at normal Oslo prices. Service is slow but now in summer, that's fine. The breakfast burrito is not only delicious but it is easily big enough for two. So we enjoyed the burrito with a really nice hefeweizen before ordering our main. We had nachos topped with grilled chicken and prawns. Fantastic. Fresh and very tasty. Sa finished up with a ginger and chilly margarita which she said was excellent. Our waitress recommended it telling us that she thought it was the best cocktail in Oslo. Given that my wife ordered another, she just might agree. All in we paid 800 NOK for nearly three hours in beautiful sunshine, excellent food and cocktails and a great afternoon. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I have not tried much Mexican food in Norway to date, but they know how to do it right here. Being from CA I have to say it isn't the most authentic, but we were happy with the portion sizes and quality. We ordered a cheese quesadilla as well as the nachos. The service was great, and they have a nice bar feel here. Recommend if you are in Grunerlokka and looking for a late night eat. Downside is your clothes will smell after you leave, not much ventilation in there.

Yelp
Lovely, and extremely service minded staff! Food took under ten minutes to arrive, we ordered a lot. Everything was tasty, and it was overall; a fantastic experience! Will definitively be back, and recommend!

Yelp
They did a pretty good job on capturing the flavors and this is coming from a person who lives in Southern California where Mexican food is everywhere. Great job

Yelp
First time in Oslo, we decided to try this place after seeing it while strolling in the grunerlokka neighborhood. Friendly staff, but our waiter forgot to put in our order, so I delete one star for having to wait 45 minutes for food. I ordered the Chicken Tinga taco, which was delicious, with apparently home-made corn tortillas, covered with lots of flavorful shredded chicken coated with spicy tomato sauce. Actually there was way too much chicken. It came with a decent dollop of fresh guacamole, good salsa, and weird pickled red onions. There was also a bowl of bland black beans and rice. My wife ordered the fish tacos. Not great: the fish had a too thick batter and the cabbage and carrots were pickled. I guess pickled vegetables are a necessity in a country with as little arable land as Norway. Drinks were good (though diabolically expensive). The $15 margarita had the perfect balance of lime, tequila, and sugar. I'd come here again next time in Oslo. The food had some shortcomings but the atmosphere was fun and the neighborhood is hip.

Yelp
Um wow! Seriously, it is hard to write anything else. I don't know when Mucho Mas changed it's menu, but I wish someone had informed me when they did. I went back after some months with a friend. The plan was to go to Habaneros, but I can't bring myself to actually go there because of the reviews that it has gotten. I talked my friend into going to Mucho Mas, although I wasn't looking forward to that either since I can make most of the dishes they made at home. The atmosphere was the exact same, cramped and loud, but the menu has totally changed. They now have tamales, carnitas, and so many things one expects to find on a menu at a Mexican restaurant in the States. I was hesitant to order anything but the nachos since I have never ordere anything but the nachos here. However, I had to try the carnitas, just to see if they knew what they were doing. They are definitely not the best carnitas I have had. The pork was a little dry and without the guacamole, lime, and salsa, a little tasteless. They could have definitely improved with some cilantro (coriander). However, for this being Oslo, I am quite impressed and would definitely return. The homemade corn tortillas they came in were also quite good. My friend got the nachos and they are also a vast improvement. The chips tasted like they were homemade. They were light and crispy with the perfect amount of salt. I was really close to giving 5 stars, but the prices, the size of the portions, and the service here keeps me from doing it. However, I am quite glad we chose to come here over Habaneros and I am seriously anxiously awaiting the next time I get to come back. With just a few improvements, I feel like Oslo is getting even closer to having a real Mexican restaurant.

Yelp
This place is great! After been years depraved of real Mexican food, I finally got to taste the real deal here in Oslo, thousands of kilometers away from Mexico. The place is always crowded so it was usually quite difficult to get a table here, the service was fast and efficient and we loved our food. Would definitely go back again next time I'm in town

Yelp
Great portion sizes and amazing margaritas that I could drink by the liter. Although I tried to order the pulled pork burrito and was told that "they were making it right now"...so I said okay I'll have that and our waitress said "oh no", she didn't speak Norwegian nor English so well so I was a little confused. Besides being lost in translation I had a great time and the food was great, I'll be back!

Yelp
I've eaten here many times over the years and it can be hit and miss with the food (even though I always get the same things). But this time it was great. My husband loved the scampi tacos he got and my burrito was sooo good. The salsa and guacamole were disappointing - but overall I was very happy this time. And the service exceptional too (not my usual experience here, so its worth mentioning).

Yelp
After hearing so much great about this place, it saddens me to say I was disappointed. Although the inside of the restaurant is neatly done and arranged, the food(tacos and starters) we ordered did not meet our expectations at all. The meat was dry and lacked taste, the sauces we were served were not at par with the competition, and the service was unremarkable at best. I like to believe we were unlucky, but I'll probably not return for a while, continuing my search for a good Mexican restaurant here in Oslo (of which I am sure there are plenty).

Yelp
Tacky as only a fake mexican/turkish joint can be. Bad light, tables that rock and confused waiters. Same goes for the food, was kinda mexican but not really. Meh. Don't think I would go to this quirky place again though.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Staff very friendly! The chips, salsa & guacamole were tasty, only wish for larger portion size. We enjoyed the Tacos De Tinga, the chicken packed a flavorful punch. Nice Mexican treat during our Oslo visit.

Yelp
This is the first mexican restaurant I try in Oslo and I think it'll prolly be a place that I come back to. Got the 3 veggie tacos and they were all delicious. Very flavorful and the portion was satisfying even though I was starving haha. Would definitely be back!

Yelp
It's hard for me to judge a Mexican food restaurant when you come from southern California, land of tacos and burritos at every corner. But knowing that it's more difficult to find it in Oslo/Norway, it's probably going to be a decent place. Ordered the shrimp quesadilla and honestly, if you know how to cook, it's best to just prep Mexican food at home. But if you're out and about, and really itching for a Mexican meal, then you can head here.

Yelp
The food was a bit bland, need more spice. The Feta cheese was very good. Not very expensive. Lacking in the beer apartment.

Yelp
Boring, but edible. As a native Texan I must say this is not Tex-Mex, but Norsk-Mex. There was a beautiful, but brief period in which a real Mexican was running the kitchen, but unfortunately they are back to purveying some of the city's most mediocre and disappointing food. I'm certain the chips (Totopos) are from a bag and the salsa from a jar.

Yelp
Great staff, very friendly , and the chillaquiles with the fried egg on top was absolutely delicious.

Yelp
WORST customer service EVER! Bartender screaming at guests!!! I have been there with my boyfriend and since the restaurant was full we decided to wait for a free table at the bar. He kindly asked the bartender for the menu (which was right next to her) so that we could order in the meantime. She said "sure", but kept on making a drink for the next 5 minutes. After he asked one more time, she began to scream at him: "Don´t you see that I am busy?!!!" Another customer was so embarassed by the incident that she handed us the menu instead of the bartender. Of course, we left right away. What kind of restaurant is that?! Staff screaming at customers??!!! One tip: Just 100 meter down the road is another Mexican restaurant - called Tijuana - that´s were we went. Awesome food and super nice staff!

Yelp
Unbelievable food and cocktails! We are BIG fans of nachos and just had the best nachos of our lives. Servers are lovely and welcoming, the atmosphere is funky and friendly and has an overall good vibe.

Yelp
Have been to both Grunerløkka and Majorstua, and I must say it's okay, but not great food. Wayy too mild for my tastes, and a bit boring, to be honest.

Yelp
Sadly disappointed!! We had visited Mucho Mas many times in the past as they had good food as well as a variety of choices for vegetarians. Mucho Mas was the closest food to true Mexican food, albeit Tex- Mex, in Oslo. Upon our last visit we noticed a drastic change in the menu... fewer options, same prices, and almost no vegetarian options. We almost left then but decided to give it a chance as change can be good. But not this time!!! The food came quickly but it looked like chaos on a plate. Runny water from the chicken on top of the soggy tortillas and entire plate. Beans and rice served together in a soup bowl but no spoon to serve them. Also the amount of food served was about half of what was served previously. My husband had the shrimp which he said were tasty but he was still hungry when he finished his plate. I am not sure who decided to change the menu but what a disaster!!!! And I think others might have the same thoughts because on previous visits, the resturant would be filled with guests waiting for tables and take-out. On this visit, the resturant was about half full at dinner time on a Saturday night with the wait staff chatting in the kitchen. In conclusion, the food is not horrible as it is better than Santa Maria from the box at home. But it is a far cry from the previous food they served. Unfortunately the change in menu and quality has confirmed that we will not be going back and will not recommend this resturant to others in the future. It is truly a sad moment as Mucho Mas USED to be one of our favorite go-to resturants in Oslo.

Yelp
Metal music, tattooed girls, cramped spaces, small tables, and excellent food for a decent price. If these things interest you, then this place is worth a visit!

Yelp
Nice location in Grunerløkka with good service and attentive waiters. The tortilla chips and guacamole are delicious. Portion sizes are big (neither of us could finish our meal) and worth the price. However, the pulled pork in my tostada (despite having a sauce drizzled over it) was pretty dry.

Sebbe S.

Yelp
I'll maker it short this time: this is an excellent quesadilla place with friendly, attentive service and a great atmosphere. Beer pitchers are NOK 230 so beware!

Yelp
As an American (and someone who has lived in California, with some of the best Mexican food in the States), I had been craving a quality Mexican meal since moving to Oslo. My boyfriend and I went to Mucho Mas on a Friday night and expected to wait a long time, but after a short time at the bar with excellent service from the bartenders (and a great margarita!) we got a nice table inside, where colorful, fiesta-like decor makes for a fun, summery ambiance. I got the Tacos de Pescado, and he got the Enchilada, and both were some of the best we'd ever tasted. Though the prices aren't cheap, the portion sizes are generous, and you won't leave hungry! The guacamole was perfect, as were the chips, and I didn't think I'd ever find an authentic tortilla chip in Norway. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and overall, it was the perfect date night, with an excellent meal. Now that it's getting warm outside, we're looking forward to trying their lively patio. Muy bueno!
