Idyllic resort complex next to the coast with huts in a tropical garden. A pebble beach is accessible via a steep path and you can hear fishing boats setting out in the early morning to make their catch. The restaurant staff probably need a bit more training in being attentive to taking customer orders. Otherwise great.

Mucumbli is a lovely eco lodge overlooking the ocean. The rooms are very nice and clean with balconies overlooking the ocean. There is no AC, but the fan was enough to keep us cool. There was hot water in the shower. The food was good with vegetarian options. It is far from things so a car is useful to get around. The beach is rocky so bring water shoes.

Our adventure to Sao Tome continued with a short stay in Neves at Mucumbli.|The rooms overlook the ocean through dense forest visited by love birds, grey parrots, sunbirds and many more, early in the morning. There was even a daily walk by of residential donkeys and their foal. In darkness (in all places), watch out for large land crabs scampering around. I even found one in my drying out clothes, halfway up a door.|We went on an organised guided walk into the rainforest to a waterfall along an aqueduct. Even with advance warning from our tour operator, we were all taken back just how difficult this walk was as you need to roll up your trousers and wade through water up to your knees in total darkness through two tunnels for 100 - 400 m!! Rewarding and fun if you are prepared with beach shoes and/or a change of footwear. Another bird watching walk was great hearing owls, rollers, seeing weavers, kingfishers and bishops (I'd never heard of, or seen these before).|The rooms were fitted with fans, no AC, with large beds, lovely furnishings, plenty of space and a balcony. The bathroom was beautifully fitted with a shower over a stone floor. The bungalows were so well positioned, you had the feeling of being alone in the middle of the forest.|The restaurant served up a reasonable breakfast, table service. Evening meals were tasty using local sourced ingredients and the bar provided a good range of drinks and wines. I thoroughly enjoyed grilled octopus - the best I ever tasted but having tried sea snails, will not need to try these ever again!

We enjoyed our stay here, which included a very worthwhile guided visit to plantations, visiting Diogo Vaz, which is one of the few which is still active. Facilities in a jungle setting exactly as one would hope in a place like this, with comfortable chalet bedrooms. Friendly and competent staff, clearly well-trained. Good path down to deserted beach with black sand.

A great little resort with an ‘eco focus’. The food was good and chalet/rooms great. Staff were friendly but few spoke English which did affect ordering drinks and food. The location is great allowing access to local ‘old cocoa plantations’ and fishing villages. I came here 5 years ago and the resort has been upgraded. I would certainly stay here again.

What a spectacular little oasis this was! We stumbled upon it while driving around the island, and we're so glad we did. The owners Maria and Tiziano from Italy were such gracious hosts!||The resort is well manicured, with phenomenal staff. Our server Abilio was a superstar! He was very attentive and very friendly. The restaurant had all sorts of food and drink options, and the views of the ocean were breathtaking!||The resort also offers multiple excursions, as well as price car rental with 24-hour assistance and insurance. We truly enjoyed our afternoon there and wished we had spent a few nights here! Gracie y Obrigado to the amazing staff of Mucumbli!

Perched on the rocks hill, surronded by a lush garden Mucumbli has the perfect location to watch sunsets in the evenings. The lodge consists of around 15 bungalows not intruding on the landscape. infact they make you feel part of it. The chalets each of them with its privacy are very spacious with a large bedroom, lots of windows and a large terrace/outdoor living room facing the ocean. All very new with a great taste and nicely decorated.|The lodge helps to implement sustainable and integrated projects that benefit both the community and the conservation efforts. From the moment we arrived we felt like family. Everyone who works at Mucumbli goes above and beyond to make the stay perfect. Last but not least outstanding food from breakfast to dinner.
