The Müggelsee--Berlin's largest lake--forms the boundary between Köpenick and Friedrichshagen. The latter was founded over a century ago as a posh village of villas for Berlin's rich and famous intrigued by the country's first nudist movement. The Freie Körper Kultur (FKK) "Free Body Culture" nudist beach attracts people from across Berlin and Brandenburg to sun their buns while enjoying the views beloved by painters such as Ernst Oppler, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner und Walter Leistikow.
