"A Haute Coffee Shop This corner café in Prague’s foodie hub, Karlín, is always hopping. The painted brick walls, wood tables, cozy corners, but especiallythe coffee the keeps people coming back. Muj Salek Kavy translates as"my cup of coffee" (a play on my cup of tea) is ownedby local direct trade coffee company Doubleshot, which wasamong the first to kick-start the city’s now booming specialty coffee scene. They select and roast their own in-season beans, and serve their single origin, as well as espresso blends, at the right temperature. On weekends in summer the lively atmosphere spills out onto the streets, and on the weekends, be sure to show up early to get a seat for thedeliciousbrunch, with dishes like rice porridge with coconut milk and apricots, blueberry jam pancakes, and poached with Prague ham and horseradish sauce."

This place offers comfortable seating either inside or outside on the street. The staff are quick to help you order and the menu is both in English and Czech. The coffee is the tastiest and richest I've had in Prague. I recommend the iced late, as that's my go to, but they make basically any coffee you can think about. It also offers a wide array of brunches, lunches and dinners as well as a good assortment of cakes, pastry and cheesecakes for your sweet tooth.

Google
The breakfast was delicious. The menu offers a variety of classic breakfast options that taste exactly as you’d hope they would. I went for the traditional English breakfast—it was hearty and flavorful. On top of that, you can choose your own coffee blend from the available options, which is a nice touch. A particularly great detail is the option to add an extra espresso shot for just 10 CZK.

This cafe is made for multiple visits! Great vibes + actual good coffee. I went on the weekend twice and loved their English Breakfast plate. It is a BIIIIG plate. Perfect for brunch and the food is worth the money. It's a popular cafe so avoid peak hours or make a rezzy. But definitely try going for brunch, it is a 10/10 spot for that. Also, if you're a coffee lover, they take their roasting very seriously, so you're assured a quality cuppa Joe.

Google
Really liked the Open Sandwich with Lentil Spread. The mango chutney added a nice touch. The strawberry lemonade was a bit too sweet. The place had a warm, cozy vibe.

Google
The food was delicious and well made, the filter coffee was ok, the service perfect. I put 4 stars just because it is a bit far from the city center. Note that smoking prohibited inside and outside.

Google
Good breakfast meals and drinks, fast service and good value for money. It’s popular place and it’s fully occupied quite often. Also they don’t have reservations on weekends so sometimes you need to wait for a free place.

Google
Great place for outstanding coffee. It was the season and they had nitro. Both plain and as a part of nitronic. Broad selection of coffees both espresso, filter and batch brewed. Reasonable lunch menu and good service. Overall highly recommend especially if you enjoy speciality coffee

Axel Playner

Google
Overall a five star, with a slight dock in service as takeout coffee orders were being filled before our coffee (it took over 30 minutes for our coffee to arrive, we were nearly already done with our food). We quickly forgave them however, as we could not get enough of the Turkish eggs and the pumpkin and chicken Caesar salad. This place is overall a cannot miss for breakfast, ESPECIALLY the Turkish eggs.

Yelp
Fun spot! Party of 2, Sunday 2pm Winter English breakfast and Gruyere omelette. Burundi filter coffee and flat white with Tam DEM espresso. Great service. Reasonably priced. Tasty food.

Yelp
Nice Service and really good breakfast for an adequate price. Nice Location with the possibility to sit outside. Englisch speaking service as well.

Yelp
We stopped by today for a first time to have a quich snack. We had soup, cake and great flatwhite which looked and tasted awesome . Everything was actually very tasty. The interior is beautiful, staff very nice and speaks English. They have high chair, cupboards filled with goodies and it is non smoking. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
My Czech hosts recommended that I go here for breakfast and it exceeded my expectations. This trendy café is located in Karlín, away from the tourists swarming throughout the city. Thankfully, the staff speaks English, and quickly adjusted once they realized my embarrassing lack of understanding any Czech. The filter coffee was great and the eggs benedict was delicious. I only came here once, but the locals that recommended this restaurant love it here and come regularly. Make sure to grab brunch at Můj šálek kávy if you're in the area for quality food and hip ambiance.

Yelp
Great coffee shop with good Sunday brunch ! We had a terrible breakfast in the hotel, so decided to skip the free cheap hotel breakfast and came here to enjoy our Sunday brunch for our last day in Prague. We came a little before 10am. The shop didn't open yet, but few people were outside waiting l already. ( This is a good sign for a restaurant !) The breakfast/brunch was satisfying! Portion was enough for an adult. Eggs were well prepared, toasts were warm, yogurt was creamy, coffee was fresh and free trade was a plus ! People here were chill and friendly. Many locals came here and read their morning Facebook feeds. Staffs spoke good English and were helpful. Here also provide English menu, so no need to take out your google translate ! A small plus is that they have free wifi which is great for traveler like me ! It was a great pleasant Sunday brunch experience for sure.

Yelp
We stopped in for coffee after lunch in the Karlin area, which is a bit more out of the way. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and it's full service (ie order from your table). They have free wifi with the password on the board and menu, which is nice - most other places make you ask for it. They had more variety on coffee drinks compared to many other places (ex ice coffee, etc); they also have almond milk as an alternative milk. In addition, they have wine, beer, and hard liquor, which I found interesting. The pastry case had lots of cakes and cookies, and they had a food menu that had a mix of semi ethnic things (Waldorf salad, gado gado, etc). Drinks: - Affogato: the ice cream was a bit sweet, but it was good overall (70 CZK) - Flat white: pretty good (70 CZK) It wasn't bad for 140 CZK, and we got to hang out there for a while without feeling rushed. Credit cards accepted.

Yelp
Definitely one of my most favorite coffee places in Prague. This place has its unique atmosphere with a soul, friendly personnel and absolutely amazing coffee and cakes. If you really want to improve your day, come get a coffee here :)
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite meals in Prague was from here! I had gotten my boyfriend's hopes up with promises of an English breakfast, but then I had a slow morning and we didn't get here until lunch. Fortunately all of the lunch options were great! He had a beautiful salad, and I had the mushroom goulash (dare I say it might have been better than the meat versions of goulash I tried in Prague?). I don't drink coffee after noon, so I had an incredibly chocolatey and thick hot chocolate, and we also shared a pistachio cake to round out the meal. Can't wait to come back to Prague and try out the breakfast.

Yelp
Come early for a table or expect to wait during breakfast/lunch hours. Luckily, our wait was only 15min. The staff was nice and kept reassuring us that they were trying to get us a table. If you're into artsy decor, this is the place for you. The ambiance was fun and creative. I loved it! For my drink, I ordered the aeropressed Colombian coffee. The waitress explained how this type of coffee is more like a mixture of tea and coffee, which I totally got. It was a lighter coffee, and you could really taste the hints of grape in it. I ended up ordering the roasted vegetables with polenta. This was amazing. The veggies tasted fresh and well-roasted. The delicious mint-pesto sauce was a nice addition as well. As for the polenta, it was perfectly cooked (and oh-so-buttery)! I'd get this dish again in a heartbeat. I'd come back again if I'm ever back in Prague. I do wish there were more brunch menu items, but the dishes they offered seemed delicious regardless.

Yelp
While I was looking for brunch places in Prague, this came up as one of the top choices. Lucky me, my AirBnB was super close to this place! Although I only came here 30 minutes after opening, I have to say this place gets packed. You might want to make reservations if you're coming with more than 2 people! I only had the muesli and yogurt and cappuccino, but for some reason it was so delicious. The cappuccino was super smooth, and the fruit was so fresh. Everything was so tasty and I just loved the decor and service here. They speak English here and they have an English menu as well, so it's not hard to order stuff. Although I was only in Prague for 4 days, I have here twice for breakfast because it was that good! The people working here were so nice. And the food in Prague is pretty cheap as well. I highly recommend coming here for brunch if you're in the area. It might be worth going out of your way to eat brunch here too!

Yelp
Quick service. Pleasant workers and a simple menu. They were out of the pancakes I really wanted but the omelette and the English breakfast was good. Atmosphere was inviting and unique. Relaxed environment that we enjoyed after the meal. Very friendly staff and would return again.

Yelp
Nice cute coffee shop in a lovely neighborhood. The staff were great. We sat outside at a table on the sidewalk. This was nice. Just the right amount of foot traffic in the area. I had a delicious flat white & a homemade lemonade. I had to try not to drink all the lemonade at once because it was soooo good. The flat white was perfectly strong and creamy. Go and get a table in the shade & relax while you write some postcards or read the paper. It can be hot outside in the sun at this spot but there is some room inside as well.

Yelp
Really good coffee. Good machine and trained baristas. Perfect poached eggs and English breakfast. Nice interior and style.

Yelp
Spectacular coffee, loved the tasting of three kinds. Iced london fog is the perfect summer drink and the pancakes are delicious! The location is really cute and the staff friendly Reserving a space is probably a good idea!

Yelp
I'm such a fan of this place. The first time I stopped by, I actually really wanted to sit down and eat something but it was actually packed. This I knew, was a promising sign, so I came back again the next day a bit earlier to get some Sunday morning brunch and I wasn't disappointed. When we went in, we were actually asked if we had reservations so we really lucked out since there was a corner seat--but that's definitely something to keep in mind! I didn't realize that this place was so popular. I've ordered their ham and eggs, blueberry cheesecake, hot chocolate, and latte. The ham and eggs were extremely delicious, though a bit on the oily side. The ham actually tasted more like bacon, but then again, I'm not complaining. Good portion and I was full afterwards. Blueberry cheesecake was spot on and just solid cheesecake. The hot chocolate was a dark chocolate latte (I think it was 65%). It was nice and thick and very delicious. The latte was solid--I'm not too much of a coffee connoisseur but I enjoyed it very much--a little on the bitter side but great coffee flavor. My friends ordered the omelets which looked gigantic, so be ready for that; definitely at least a 3 egg sized omlet. The ginger lemonade is extremely gingery though--not sure if ours was weird or if it was supposed to be like that, but if you intend to order that, be ready. tldr; All in all, I really enjoy this cafe. Wish it were less popular so I could go there more easily, but a great experience!

Yelp
All I have to say is that this week- I've been to MujSalekKavy already three times. Everything about this place is adorable: design (so simple and hipster at the same time), atmosphere (full of interesting people Both Czechs and foreigners), staff (welcoming, polite and they all speak English), meals (there is not a big choice, but every dish must be tried- especially sandwiches and fantastic salads!!!), of course deserts (a huge wide variety of different deserts straying from home made cookies and finishing with delicious cup cakes), and finally- coffee coffee coffee! Best coffee in town!! It's a non smoking cafe; but you are free to bring along your laptop (since wifi coverage is great) and enjoy your morning breakfast&lunch& cup of coffee with desert! Enjoy guys - Totally recommend to everyone

Yelp
It's unacceptable that a cafe with almond milk serves this failure. The almond milk separated in the coffee which means that the coffee was too hot when they put the almond milk in. I would have had a better experience at Starbucks

Jean Z.

Yelp
Nice place in a quiet local neighborhood. Had the English breakfast and it was quite nice. Except for the "sausage" which was a disappointing flavorless hot dog.
google avatar

Victor W.

Yelp
Best coffee in Prague. Atmosphere is hip, energetic. Great wooden tables to eat a meal or work on top of. Staff is friendly, English-speaking and attentive. I'd come back here to work or chat again anytime! Flat white or the coffee tasting is excellent.

Yelp
Favorite spot in Karlín, so dont forget to book the spot first, it is always busy no matter if it is Monday 9am or Wednesday 4 pm, coffee as well as all the cakes are just great. Also tried brunch here and both eggs and pancakes were PERFECT!
google avatar

Yelp
Very popular place, recommended to make a reservation or just feel lucky. Great breakfast. Amazing coffee of course, but also lovely collection of tea. The offer of cakes and sweets is very wide. This place is very cosy, including a fireplace.

Ed G.

Yelp
I just walked out of a Starbucks in Chodov, I asked for and got a 3-shot Grande Latte. It's hot - just as a coffee should be. This weekend I asked for a Latte in Muj Salek Kavy...and got something that was smaller than a Starbucks "small," and it was cooler than room temperature. When I asked for it to be heated up, I got a long drawn-out explanation for why coffee cannot be served over 70 degrees. That's fine - but this coffee couldn't have been more than 20 degrees. Apparently, muj salek kavy is not "muj salek kavy." Never, never again. Maybe they do iced coffee better?!

Yelp
This place really surprised me. I loved the atmosphere, very relaxed and cozy. They have a very nice outdoor seating area, as well as beautiful paintings on the walls inside, and furnished with some soft chairs and outdoor wooden tables. They have brown sugar, always a plus, as well as an assortment of fresh baked goods and pastires. We saw a few tables ordering a full english breakfast too which I thought was a different approach from most cafes in Prague. Service and menu were in both English and Czech so quite convenient for foriengers. Overall I will have to say this coffee shop/cafe ranks in my top 5 for prague. Friendly staff, nice selection and quiet location. Great little place.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. A gem off the touristy path. Ice cream with a shot of espresso is heavenly. Nice atmosphere. Great service. Recommend with my heart.

Yelp
Looking for fabulous coffee? Well, Muj salek kavy is the place. Talented baristas create the tastiest coffee drinks and their flat white is amazing. The food is also incredible. They offer a great breakfast and lunch selections with many incredible pies, cakes, and pastries as well. Friendly staff and a beautiful location in the heart of Karlin make it an even more desirable cafe to visit. They have wifi and a great selection of limonadas. I recommend going here as soon as you can and remember to make a reservation.

Yelp
My wife and I yelped this restaurant and we are so glad we did. This Resturant was very cozy and welcoming. They had some upbeat music and lively atmosphere. Coming from the NYC area, this place had a Brooklyn vibe to it :) The food was plentiful and at a great price. I got the American breakfast which was a hodgepodge of American classics but with really fresh ingredients. We also tried their coffee flights which has a fun "can you guess which coffee is which?" theme (so fun). Lastly, the fresh squeezed juice was delicious! High recommend coming here!

Yelp
Hands down my favorite meal in Prague! Great service, cool environment, and quality food makes for a great experience. I ordered Gazpacho Soup and a Greek Salad and both dish were perfectly made and well seasoned. The best part was the kelimku dessert... Yumm! Most definitely a repeat.
google avatar

Ondřej V.

Yelp
Great cafe, they have their own coffee named Doubleshot, which I was firstly introduced at the WebExpo 2013 conference. Really cannot otherwise than recommend to everyone who's looking for a great place to grab a coffee. Service here is really excellent and when you are dating here with someone, no one can hear what you are talking about, there is this great background noise which don't interrupt the conversation itself. Also great latte art! :-)
google avatar

Daniella G.

Yelp
The food is quite good & the drinks, as well! However, quite difficult to get a table without a reservation.
google avatar

Yelp
This cafe is amazing and should definitely be a stop for everyone, whether you be a tourist or local. The coffee was fantastic, the desserts are wonderful, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. The lemonades are refreshing and perfect for warm weather.
google avatar

Yelp
Best coffee I ever had together with tasty selection of pastries and cakes. I have been going to this coffee shop for some time now and the staff was always friendly and the coffee superb!
google avatar

Pavla J.

Yelp
Love this place!! FINALLY we get to enjoy some cool places in Prague !! Amazing food, coffee, sweets and service! Definitely call in for reservation!
google avatar

Yuval G.

Yelp
This place it's a rip off. Scam you for tap water? and charge extra for almond milk(no one else charges for) Way over priced to what you getting. When I asked manager why they charge for tap water?!?! - he said it's for charity and with very bad attitude! You want to donate? Ask your customers first or donate your own money! Maybe because we were tourists? This place isn't recommended.
google avatar

Miroslav P.

Yelp
I've been hearing about this cafe for a long time but never had the possibility of try. I was totaly satisfied as the coffee was simply great and some home-made juices also. I was quiet disapointed by the offer of cakes. They were delicious but not my "cup of coffee". However, espresso was awesome so 5 Star is only choice

Marcus J.

Yelp
Real cozy place with great food and great service! The only setback was the coffee which was a little thin for my taste but still good, might just be me who's used to stronger stuff. On the whole a fantastic experience.
google avatar

Michaela Ř.

Yelp
It's worth of waiting for the place to sit! Cozy, comfortable, delicious...:)

Anna N.

Yelp
Everything is great all the time :) The coffee, food, desserts, service and cleanless of the department. I reccommend you to come here if you're in Karlin!

Yelp
Really great café in Prague 8. Not too far from Zizkov and Florenc station. Good outdoor seating (and lots of space inside as well) and wifi outside, great coffee and food at reasonable prices. Wait staff is very friendly.
google avatar

Johana C.

Yelp
Delicious coffee, cakes, desserts and more! Wifi access is a bonus and staff is very friendly. Will be definitely coming back and trying more from the menu!
google avatar

Yelp
Come for new tastes and experience. Sitting outisde, we had a goat cheese sandwich, and watermelon feta cheese salad. It definitely tickled out palates. Top it off with carrot ginger soup and a tea-milk-foam drink called London Fog. Nom nom.
google avatar

Vinton B.

Yelp
Amazing 3rd wave coffee find! Just outside of the touristy areas. The drinks were amazing and the food was brilliant. The servers were very nice. And even though they were quite busy, they weren't slow. A great local place.
google avatar

Cheryl F.

Yelp
I just got back from 5 weeks in Prague, and lucky for me I stayed in the same neighborhood as this gem! Great coffee, beautiful decor, kind staff (even to foreigners who don't speak Czech), and amazing food! It gets busy, so make a reservation if you don't want to wait. I couldn't get enough of it, and wish I could go back!
google avatar

Marta G.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing ,lovely place to be in Prague. And they have special coffee tasting with a quiz which coffee you actually try. You need to guess according some tips about taste and roasting. Lovely area. Great great great!
google avatar

Nadia G.

Yelp
I'm not happy about giving them just 2* because coffee is amazing here, water cheap:-), fresh lemonades are just perfect and food as well. But I was here twice in last couple of weeks and even though their stuff is so nice and friendly it took them forever to come back and ask me if I want second drink, so from one hour I spent there I was 40min without a drink and 10min waiting for a check because cleaning other tables was more important for them. Sorry for a bad review, I really like your place guys, but get better with a service please!!
google avatar

Veronika B.

Yelp
This place is great in any daytime for cup of coffee, breakfast, lunch and also a dinner with a glass of wine. It's non smoking place with nice staff and great coffee. You can also take a seat outside in warmer months. Just make sure you have a reservation if you wanna have a table on weekend. I wish there would be more places like this in Prague.
google avatar

Farzad K.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. We had the irish coffe, Ecuador hot chocolate, chocolare moose pastry, and baileys cake. Probably one of the best of each of those I've ever had. The service was fantastic and the staff is happy to recommend excellent food. Also a short walk from Vaclav hill so an amazing location as well. Nothing bad to say. Go here.
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Great selection of coffee served by people who know what they are talking about. Brunch a weekend highlight for me!

Yelp
nice service, lots of choices
