"An epic canyon, Wadi Mujib serves as the last gasp of the Great Rift Valley. Where one of its many mouths opens to the Dead Sea, you’ll find the Mujib Biosphere Reserve—the lowest nature reserve in the world. Within the park, there are a series of marked trails that lead through the canyon or over the hills from the reception center, as well as stylish chalets overlooking the water that guests can book for longer stays. Winter is a particularly good time to visit for bird-watching, as flocks stop here on their migration between Europe and Africa. That being said, most people come for the chance to walk, or wade, up the canyon along the Siq Trail, a nearly two-mile path that ends at a spectacular waterfall. Don’t bring anything that can’t get wet, and know that the Siq Trail is closed in winter and early spring due to the risk of flash floods."

This place is basic but perfect for what it is. Most rooms face the sea and have sliding glass doors. Room = 5. We were here during a terrible heat wave and our room was cool when we arrived. Comfy beds. Good water pressure and even with the heat we had cold water. ***NOTE there is no water in your room. BYO. Food = 5. Huge dinner. Two of us shared one meal and it was plenty. NOTE dinner was an extra 14 JOD but we were prepared for that. Service = 5 attentive without being annoying. Locations=5 There are stairs down to the VERY ROCKY beach and showers near the beach. Miscellaneous---- if you don't want to take the stairs or don't want a rocky beach, you can go to several public beaches that are about eight minute drive south of there. Those beaches are not quite as rocky and the slope into the water can be a little more gentle, but the walk down to the beach is pretty far.

This was one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed. The chalets had giant glass doors overlooking the Dead Sea and the atmosphere was stunning. Meals were served in a communal fashion which allowed us to meet some cool people from all over the world. The beach access was unreal- very private and serene. If I ever come back to Jordan I will definitely be staying here again!

Good sized rooms with a shower with a Dead Sea view. The steps down to the beach are good, but the rocks are hazardous. Large salt covered rocks make getting in and out of the water very difficult. It needs a safe entry point into the water. The hotel is found down an unmade rocky road. Meals need to be taken in the hotel, the food is good. The resort is under development and will be good when finished.

This was the only place that we stayed in Jordan where we seriously contemplated going to find another hotel after we had checked in. The staff don't seem to care about the place and have a standoffish attitude. The drive off the highway towards the chalets forces you to go through a gated, derelict looking compound with a VERY rocky off road path which was really unexpected. But the worst part are the chalets. They are really really run down. The amenities were bad, like two tiny body wash and one tiny conditioner with no shampoo, no hairdryer and towels which were hard as a rock and felt like sandpaper. We didn't dare to drink the provided drinking water in the refillable glass jar because it was green. The cleanliness was not good because there were no fewer than 20 flies stuck to the glass when we first entered the room and we spent our first half an hour in there chasing them all out. There is no floor space for luggage and nowhere to put the luggage up. It is not a walking distance from the Wadi Mujib adventure centre (which was a great experience) because the weird uphill compound is in between so you have to drive there anyway. The only positive thing was that we spent only one night there and we could leave early in the morning. I would recommend finding anywhere else to stay instead of this

The best location for a hotel I have ever seen. The view of the Dead Sea, dedicated beach, and its closeness to Wadi Mujib makes it worth the price. Grab a cup of local tea and enjoy the sunset from your private porch.

Pleasant and helpful staff although wanting to check in to this COMPLETELY EMPTY accommodation before check in time proved completely ‘impossible’.|The food and service was good and the main challenged was getting into the sea barefoot because the salt crystals are so sharp. Jellies are recommended.|During our stay there were a lot of biting stable flies and surprising in the desert mosquitoes too. Unwisely we tried to sleep with the door open

What a beautiful place. |We were met on arrival and checked in, then accompanied to our chalets, (we had two). The view from the front of the chalets were breathtaking. A real haven of peace and quiet. It was the start of Eid and there were a few other families there so dinner was buffet style with good choices. Lovely hearty home made food, chicken, minted meatballs which were delicious, hummus, salads, baba ganoush (my favourite!) and fresh bread. Breakfast was buffet style too and great choice including omelettes although it may be different on other days. |There is a free bottle of water in the room and a little label telling you about the water fountain in the dining room where you can top up free. |We walked down to the shore and spent some fun time floating in the Dead Sea. Beware. If you have any cuts as it does sting due to the high mineral content of the waters. And beware your entry and exit as you can scratch yourself in the very sharp salt formations which later become itchy!! Beach shoes are a must here, don’t travel without them. The sensation of floating and being unable to sink made for lots of laughs and photos! We even found little holes in the ground and stones around the shower area with Dead Sea mud and covered ourselves in the health giving minerals. |We went into the water close to dusk and the sunset created a beautiful backdrop. What a dream. |The bedrooms were spacious, very comfortable with an air con unit. The bathroom had a great shower with hot water and a revealing full length glass panel for the voyeurs among us!! But there is a curtain you can close for privacy if you’re shy! |This was a fantastic place to stay and although a bit higher priced than some others, well worth it as it does not feel commercial and touristy in the slightest. |I’d return again for sure. |I had a great conversation with the head man (I’m so sorry I can’t remember your name). We chatted about the area, the situation in the region, very interesting.|There is also a small Nature Shop inside selling Dead Sea mud and soaps etc. |Sadly the nearby Wadi nature walks were not yet open for the season… so I’ll need to go back for that! |The lights twinkle across the water at night and up to your right is the West Bank of Palestine. Directly across the water behind Israel in Gaza. I directed a quiet prayer for peace and an end to suffering across the waters. |It’s a very special and unique place on the planet and the waters are receding. |Don’t hesitate. Book it and enjoy! |Thank you Chalet Mujib for a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful experience at Mujib Chalets. The staff provided friendly and attentive service, and the stunning views were unforgettable. The easy access to a beautiful beach with unique red-colored stones made our stay even more special – a sight we didn’t find at any other beach along the Dead Sea. The breakfast was perfect, and we truly enjoyed our interactions with the warm and welcoming local staff. Booking was only available one month in advance, but it was absolutely worth it. We will definitely recommend Mujib Chalets to others and hope to return in the future!
