Disappointed on Our Third Visit – Never Again We've visited this place three times now. The first two times, the food was quite good, which is why we came back. But today's experience was shockingly bad—from starter to dessert, it was a complete letdown. The starter (paneer) was the only saving grace. Everything else was a disaster. The chicken biryani was overcooked, steaming hot despite ordering it moderate, and came with hard, dry chicken pieces. The naan was inconsistently cooked—some parts undercooked and doughy, other parts burnt. The cappuccino tasted like plain white coffee, no flavor, no foam. To top it off, two cats sitting near our table seemed to enjoy more than we did—we joked they had the better meal. We won’t be returning. Very disappointing for a place we once liked.

Excellent food and a wide variety on the menu, from Indian to Portuguese, and regular house dishes. Ambient atmosphere. One of the better restaurants in the area, more quiet and private.

Butter Chicken & Garlic Naan Customer Service: Friendly and equally courteous. Garlic Naan: Served 9-11 medium-sized pieces, which were softer with a slight crisp on the outside. The garlic taste was more pronounced, though still not as bold as expected for "garlic naan." Butter Chicken: The smell was intensely delicious, with deeper, more complex spices. The chicken came in 6-8 large, tender chunks, and the sauce had a perfect balance of creaminess, spice, and a hint of sweetness (8.5/10).

The stay at Mukwa Lodge is always very pleasant. The rooms are clean and neat and the staff is friendly and professional. We love the Indian cuisine at their restaurant. I will definitely recommend this Lodge.

We ate dinner here one night, there was a big crowd - about 15 of us. The staff coped with the order well, and the food was delivered in a timely manner (this does not always happen when a large number of people order together). And the food was really good! Great experience, would highly recommend the restaurant.

Went out for dinner tonight at Mukwa for the first time. Terrible first experience. Ordered one of the paneer specialities(I think it was P11) and another paneer dish(P6). P6 was quite good (not great) but P11 was atrocious and the paneer had this slimy coating over it. Not sure if they tried to crumb it and cook it in a curry gravy? Anyway, the taste as well as texture was terrible. Ordered a slice of carrot cake for takeaway. We specifically asked which cake was baked today, and were told it’s all freshly baked. Brought the cake home and opened it & it was mouldy. I’m completely disgusted and disappointed. It makes me wonder about the quality of the rest of the food they serve. Waiter was really friendly, however, service was very slow. It was not the fault of the staff. There’s only 3/4 waiters for all the tables they were probably overwhelmed. Update: phoned in to complain to the restaurant and they provided us with a full refund, to their credit, HOWEVER, the MANAGER had the absolute audacity to request for the bad review to be removed. We refused. Transparency is important & potential customers should walk into any establishment being informed about what they should look out for. Extremely disappointed at the unethical conduct of the manager.

Went in for dinner by recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. They're strict about the hours of outside eating... morning (11am - 2pm) and afternoon (5:30pm - 10pm) which was strange at first hearing but gave the management a sense of order which I liked. Their drinks are affordable but you'd do well to stay away from the cocktails 2/10 in my opinion. The food was on time and it was prepared fresh(very important).. The food portions are strictly one per person (I'm used to Indian cuisines being plentiful that more than one person can eat from a single plating). The staff are friendly and efficient (I went on a slow night). Last but not the least, the bathrooms are spacious and so clean!!! That's definitely a 10/10 for me because bathroom hygiene is very important to me. The atmosphere is very soft and calming to the mind and soul.. Overall I liked everything!!
