"This sprawling resort features three luxury properties on one Nusa Dua site: the Mulia, the Mulia Resort, and the top-tier Mulia Villas. Choose a full board or half board package for an all-inclusive experience, complete with butler service (at the Mulia and Mulia Villas) and access to nine different dining venues and bars; there are also beach-level pools—one of them resembling a statue-lined Roman bath—and rows of umbrellas on Bali’s eastern shore. The villas feel like traditional Balinese homes, with indoor-outdoor living rooms that have hydrotherapy pools as well as views of colorful gardens or the Indian Ocean. And the spa is one of the most outrageous wellness temples in Bali, featuring a Finnish wood sauna, aroma steam room, and the region’s only ice fountain."

Mulia Resort is an impressive, expansive luxury resort that truly feels like its own destination. The property is massive, with beautifully maintained grounds, multiple stunning pools, a variety of restaurants, and a gorgeous beachfront setting. There’s no shortage of places to relax, dine, or simply enjoy the atmosphere—it’s designed for guests who want everything in one place. Pro tip: bring water shoes. While the beach is beautiful, getting into the water can be challenging due to rocks and strong waves near the shoreline. Water shoes make a big difference if you plan to fully enjoy the beach. What really elevates the experience is the staff. The service is consistently attentive, warm, and professional. Special shout-outs to Yolanda, Ratna (hostess), Daya (welcome drink), Catur (guided assistance), and Marcella at the front desk—they all went above and beyond to make the stay smooth and memorable. If you’re looking for a grand, full-service resort in Nusa Dua with exceptional hospitality and resort-style luxury, Mulia Resort delivers. By the way don't be surprised if monkeys stop by your room to visit

I recently stayed at the Mulia Resort and it exceeded every expectation. The property is absolutely stunning, from the immaculate pools to the beautifully maintained grounds. The service was exceptional — every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely focused on making our stay perfect. The rooms were spacious, luxurious, and incredibly comfortable. The food options were outstanding, with every meal offering great quality and variety. Overall, Mulia delivers a true five-star experience and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended! The only suggestions I would have is I wish there were ramp access around the pools as we had a baby with a stroller.

Here are my pros and cons: Pros: - Spacious property and facilities outside of your room, kids club, pools, gardens. - The restaraunts and breakfast themselves on their own are great. - They keep the place pretty clean. Cons: - Huge confusion about whats included and whats not on luxury escapes. Luxury escapes fine print say 'Blackout Period May Apply' but dont tell you what that relates to or when with respect to your food inclusions. Once you arrive you get given a leaflet about what those blackout days are (as determined by Mulia' This meant both New Years Day and Eve food that luxury escapes advertise as included is not included in your package even though youre probably paying for it extra when you add it on. We were then told that theres a special New Years eve buffet which costs $250 aud/person. Which was crazy since most of the a lacarte items would only amount to about $60-$80aud pp. Then theres added complexity around dine around credit if you at two of the other restaraunts at the Mulia. Second is that after this, i tried to confirm with lobby/ reception staff several times if i have dinner or lunch included on checkout day, one clearly checked with a manager and said yes. Upon checkout they slugged that last lunch and we had to pay that as we were in a rush to leave. Overall id say dont buy the lunch / dinner inclusion, just get daily breakfast and go a la carte with everything else. - Because youre kind of 'stuck' at The Mulia, theres a feel of added upsell to go to parts of the resort etc. - Bigger than usual but still small and cold feeling rooms. Overall i think id spend my money elsewhere. Mulia feels more like it was done from a property development perspective not from a Hotel service perspective.

We had the most wonderful experience in Mulia Resort. The resort is absolutely beautiful, stunning, and everything feels luxurious. The room was spacious and spotless, and everything was so amazing and that made waking up each day unforgettable. The buffet breakfast was incredible with so many delicious choices. The restaurants within the resort were fantastic as well with great food and perfect service every time. Charming and friendly staff- nothing was ever too much hassle to make our stay special. Probably one of the best holidays we have ever had. Can’t wait to go back

Huge resort with great pools and clean beach. Nice and quiet. Very prompt and efficient service, while never intrusive. Liked that for shower, the water flow and temperature controls were independent. But the smooth cylindrical tap was a little hard to turn with soapy hands. Other than that, nothing to complain about. Breakfast had wide arrays of choices that all tasted good. On our last day, there was a short queue to get to the buffet breakfast. If not eating in the resort, need to take transport (not really walkable) to get to outside restos as the adjacent sites are all other big resorts. Enjoyable stay overall, and would love to come back.

Booked a7 night stay through Luxury Escapes for early December. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained and has heaps of amenities. We had half board and dined at 4 different restaurants and tried the Korean BBQ. The food, put quite simply, is exceptional no matter where you go or what you have. Everything is clean and the food well prepared and tasty. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make your stay very enjoyable. I would highly recommend the Mulia for a chill out stay in Bali. Now for the but… the drinks are incredibly expensive, a can of coke costs close to $12 AUD after service charges and taxes. Water which is free in your room costs close to $20AUD for a large bottle at any other time. It should be free. Alcohol is on a whole new level for Bali. It is the only negative for the whole week. If they charged $5 for a coke, $8 for a beer and say $15 for a cocktail including service charges it would have been one of the best hotels we have stayed at and we have been all over the world. Thanks again Mulia team and well done.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at The Mulia. Our room was amazing, spacious, clean and super private -loved the jacuzzi and garden view! Staff were so friendly and accommodating in the lobby, dinning areas, restaurants and pool areas. Debi and Gilbert our butlers went above for us to ensure everything was organised and taken care of from day one which was very much appreciated. The facilities at the mulia blew our expectations. We were shocked by the full equipped gym on site and the many different pools to choose from to spend the day with close access to the stunning beach. Many activities to do at the resort and dinning restaurants. Would love to come back one day.

Absolutely Unacceptable – We Felt Taken Advantage Of Our experience at The Mulia in Bali was one of the most frustrating hotel stays we have ever had. From the start, the pricing was misleading. What we were initially quoted kept changing, with extra fees being added later without proper explanation. It genuinely felt like we were being taken advantage of rather than treated like paying guests. The front desk situation was beyond unacceptable. We were forced to wait for nearly two hours with no real assistance, no clear answers, and no sense of urgency. My family was exhausted after traveling, yet we were left standing and waiting while staff did nothing to resolve the issue. We were passed around, given different explanations, and kept in the dark the entire time. The receptionist we dealt with was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. We were told things that later turned out not to be true, which only added to the frustration. Instead of trying to help or take responsibility, the staff made us feel like we were the problem. For a hotel that advertises itself as “luxury,” this was a shocking level of poor service, lack of transparency, and disrespect toward guests. We left feeling stressed, angry, and deeply disappointed. I would strongly warn others—especially families—to think twice before staying here. Based on our experience, this hotel does not deliver on its promises and does not treat its guests with the honesty or care they deserve.
