Have visited this bueatiful hotel numerous times over the years. Have always , and still. Love it. Alas it has not been maintained. , The covid panic being a huge factor no doubt, and is looking very run down im sorry to say. I sincerely hope it gets its much needed make over soon.

A fabulous little gem in the Perth Hills. We just ate there, and the staff were lovely, helpful, happy. The Seniors fish and chips was good value, delicious. The quinoa salad would have benefited by being served in a larger more generous bowl with a bit less oil. But the '28' parrots that hung around were an absolute delight, and the memorabilia in the dining and function rooms were wonderful to peruse. Fancy this pub hosting pianist David Helfgott in the past. Now that's world class!

I was excited to have a booking for lunch here with the family on Father's Day. Unfortunately the experience was very average. For such a beautiful old pub, there has been very little investment in the place or the system and processes to make it operate at a functional level. We were sat outside under the marquee, which was okay, though to order drinks, it was walking up and back to the cafe or the bar in the rain. The line for food was long and when it was finally ready, we trudged back up to the cafe to deliver our own meals only for half of them to be luke warm. I left very disappointed, given the potential this place has to be a really nice venue. Will not be back. We stopped in at The Parkerville on our way home, and it is a much nicer and better managed venue.

In spite of my husband reluctance to going here for lunch I wanted to try this today. Whilst the girl on the front was very nice and helpful I’m afraid it went down hill from there. I should have gone for the seniors menu as it’s usually hard to spoil Fish and Chips. I went for the Steak Sandwich and my husband went for the Slow cooked pie. When mine arrived the chips were Luke warm, I went to eat some of the steak but as the first bite was like cutting into rubber, too hard to chew so I left it on the plate. I didn’t want to try more. The onions were the best thing on the plate. My husband’s pie was also not good. It was obviously not freshly cooked and the bit of pastry on the top was hard . He managed to eat half then gave up as his meat was tough. I was looking forward to looking at the old memorabilia. This too was disappointing. I got the impression that whoever is in charge of this Hotel has lost interest and saw old relics and photographs not displayed in an interesting way. It seemed like old relics were just put on tables randomly and without much insight. Very sad and depressing indeed. Needless to say we won’t be back and can’t recommend.

We had a lovely lunch on 2/9/25. Our only complaint was the pulled pork nachos with black beans, avocado and sour cream. It was dried out, burnt around the edges. So stuck together we couldn't separate the actual nachos. Even the kookaburra who flew down unexpectedly, couldnt free it from the bowl. The little bit of capsicum down the bottom of the small 10-15cm diameter bowl, was the only bit of flavour. No avocado or sour cream in sight. However the fish tacos, fish, chips and salad, wedges, fried onion rings and child's cheese burger and chips, although normal size, were absolutely delicious. The lady that took our order was very friendly, pleasant and patient. We enjoyed sitting outside in the fresh air and the company of the very friendly birds.

A nostalgic pub offering bar and coffee shop services. Functions and events are also offered such as music gigs. The gardens have a niche element with lots of bird life.

A great old pub, lovely food, friendly service, fantastic location. Room was comfortable, lovely open fireplace. Kangaroos outside our room, bandicoots and amazing birdlife. Highly recommend the Mundaring Weir hotel, can’t wait to come back.

We went to Mundaring Weir Hotel for lunch. Nice atmosphere inside the restaurant with an old-wooden, traditional feel to it with a nice little fireplace. We were served a generous portion of squid rings, and my bangers and mash was good. It came in a huge Yorkshire pudding but sadly the bangers were pretty cheap and nasty, i was expecting better quality tbh. That being said, they were the only downer, everything else was great.

Yelp
Located just 45mins drive from the Perth city, Mundaring Weir Hotel is in the heart of Beelu National Park. It is a great base for people that want to explore this area. It is also very kid friendly with a playground. Somehow they always seem understaffed so every time we went there we had to wait for quite a while before our dishes are ready.

Yelp
A magic old place - went here for a James Morrison concert and stayed in one of the onsite rooms. Service here is interesting, go down stairs to order food and pick it up when it buzzes - they have been doing this for years and it's not that painful. Food, well it's pub grub, the pizzas are great. As a concert venue - especially for this nights jazz, superb. As a hotel, the rooms are clean, a little on the shabby side, but waking up to the early morning hills air and enjoying breakfast outside - isnt' that what life is all about. If you over look the service and the shabby side (the whole place is chipped and dented) and remember when in rome.

Yelp
Iconic hills pub and so popular with the motorcycle fraternity, it a good pit stop on a hills ride.Yes its old and rough around the edges, put that aside, and enjoy the step back in time. Love the old joint.

Yelp
It's not about the destination...it's about the journey ... (fortunately) The roads to and from the Mundaring Weir Hotel are excellent for a sunny morning/afternoon ride in the beautiful Perth climate... and no doubt you'll be tempted to stop here for a cold one and maybe try some of the pub grub... No doubt it is a historic building and has some great grounds....and they do put on some interesting live music (at a cost) ... but as a pub/restaurant ....meh... most will find it has succumbed to the Perth Peril - Slow, indifferent service, Overpriced Beer and Underwhelming food quality. The times that I have been forced to stop here because I am meeting someone or I'm out with a bunch of guys for a ride and someone thinks it is a good idea .....coz they don't know anywhere better....(or coz they have an expense account) .... I keep wanting to like the place and get my hopes up ....but come away disappointed and swearing I'll never go back again.... These days if I have an option I'll go 10-15 minutes up the road - through Mundaring to the little Parkerville Hotel ... equally as old and historic (maybe more or less the same age?) but generally better food, cheaper drinks and plenty of indoor and outdoor tables as well as a nice park across the street . Save your money ... save your tastebuds ... give it a miss ... or try it and make your own mind up - maybe I got them on a bad day... OK couple of days... spread out over several years... but hey try it and post a review... I'd still like to like the place...

Yelp
What a perfect spot. One of the last true country pubs left in the perth area and the crowds gather to delight in the old fashioned bar, the live music, the spit roast and everything else that comes along with this gem. The spit roast on a Sunday is a treat and costs $12.50 for some meat, a bap, salad and choice of condiments. It will heat you up on a winters afternoon or provide soakage for your cold cider on a summers evening. The food in the cafe is pretty good too if not a little pricey. I am surprised their drinks are not more expensive (please don't change this) as due to their unique location they could probably charge as they pleased. It is a popular spot with local bikers, familes, parrots and dogs alike. Sit on the grass watching the parrots eat leftover chips and spicy wedges while dogs roam around with their owners. Great spot, no doubt there will be arguments over who does the driving.

Yelp
Dropped in for Sunday lunch after a visit to the weir. Lots of shaded garden seating and a relaxed, family friendly vibe (and playground) makes it a good all rounder. Food is standard pub grub, but filling enough. Started to get busy by 1.30...people rolling in to listen to the band that was setting up and get a lamb roast sandwich, starting from 3pm.

Yelp
I'm afraid on a couple of points we had a very disappointing experience. I rang Mundaring Weir Hotel to contact someone there, and they did not even try. On another point the pizza's came out with covers over, of which two of them had massive fungus growths on the inside, which definitely put us off the food! I would not recommend this location after two terrible experiences.

Yelp
Terrible service for concerts. They have fine print that states that any tickets damaged or lost will not be replaced. Have had ours go missing during a house move and was advised the only solution was to purchase two more for $140. Living in the dark ages if you can't re-issue tickets even after multiple examples of proof of purchase. Terrible experience from what used to be a great venue.

Yelp
Its a shame I will not be returning to this hotel. It is historic, it is beautiful (although needs updating) and I would love to support it - but is lacking in a lot. Definitely needs a really good clean! We had lunch today and I left quite irritated that they did not provide something to take the rest of my pizza home. Who eats a whole pizza???? The lack in 'service' was easily overlooked, but the burger just blew it. Wagyu? I don't think so!! So sad, but won't return.

Yelp
The place is dirty and the food is not good. I went on a hot day and the water cooler was empty, probably because it was left out since the week prior. I ordered the bread and dips, the bread was soggy and the dips tasted like they came out of a discount salad dressing jar. Nice location, but that's it.
