My husband and I stopped at Mundart for dinner and I am so glad we did. My photos don’t do justice because it looks better in person but also tastes really good! The staff was SO nice and welcoming and we liked that they had the menu in english because unfortunately we don’t speak German. We really had a great experience. It is cute inside, food was delish and staff adorable. Highly recommend!

The place seems be run by a farmer family. I chose it as it had good reviews on the Google maps. Unfortunately I can't share the enthusiasm of others. I took an appetiser and the main dish offered by the restaurant out of the usual menu. The food was quite bland. I would even say tasteless. I think they should invest in some herbs and a meat seasoning. Definitely not good value for the price. A red wine was good though. But it was Italian.

Lovely modern renditions of Bavarian cuisine! Had a Zanderfilet with barley & rice risotto and wild broccoli. My partner had one of their specials - trout filet with polenta puree and seasonal wild mushrooms. Both fish dishes were cooked very well - crispy skin and well seasoned. The accompanying sides were of a good portion and also rounded off the flavors of the entire dish very well. My partner is normally not a fan of mushrooms but he polished off every single one on his plate. Then we shared a white chocolate mousse with chocolate crumble and a raspberry & plum reduction for dessert. It was a great blend of flavors again and a good portion to share. To be honest, I definitely didn't want to share 😅😂 was all in all, a very pleasant experience.

Absolutely Delicious! I went to this restaurant because of the reviews, and they were on point. The service was excellent, the atmosphere nice , cozy and modern, and the food was very well presented and incredibly delicious. In a town that boasts of it's traditional Bavarian food, this was a breath of fresh air, as it's menu is modern German. If you are in town, this is a must go place. Make sure to make a reservation because it's small and it will get full.

The great restaurant. Excellent value for money. Food ingredients are super fresh. The cuisine is modern in taste and servings. Be patient while waiting your food as it takes some time because it seems that all dishes are prepared by the chef. Overall we had great experience.

An absolute for a nice meal in Oberammergau. The prices aren't bad, the service is amazing, and the food is all local. Make a reservation!

Nice restaurant in a super cute town. Definitely call to reserve beforehand!! Daily menu option was good. Fresh and tasty modern Bavarian cuisine. You can take a walk in the town afterwards it's a very charming village.

With a couple of tourist trap restaurant disappointments, we've decided surely the #1 rated by a trip review and such rave reviews all over the net, would be money well spent. Wrong. Let me start out by saying that the food is completely over rated, their beer tasteless and the owner just bluntly discriminated us as we were non German. My wife and I had a reservation and arrived on time. However, we were seated on the undesirable high traffic area, as the other couple with no reservation (Germans) were seated in more "Reserved" like seating. After our order was taken, it took a FULL HOUR before we saw the start of our meal, when the couple with no reservation were almost done with their dish. However, I kept my patience at check, as I was anticipating a worthy meal. We've ordered simple salad starters which of course no one could really mess up. And then for the main meal, I've gone with their steak which wasn't no where near tender and seriously, any cheap sleazy bar could have pan fried it better, and my wife had ravioli, which really looked like pot stickers with thick doughy skin and mushy and tasteless filling. The owner is supposedly overly nice and welcoming as other reviews mentioned, but only to the German and caucasian customers which was obvious. How blunt was it? She asked how the food was etc to 3 tables next to us, and then walked right by our table and didn't mention a thing to us the whole night, as she went back to other tables on a multiple occasions. Even the ladies at the table next to us gave us a weird look as if we had offended the owner or something. Bottom line, complete and outrageously over rated food, and with an obvious racially discriminating owner, I so regret spending my hard earned money there.

Recommended for some modern, nontraditional food in traditional Oberammergau. I liked the clean decor, efficient service, and contemporary cuisine choices, different from the usual German standards. Salads and vegetables are better than at most local restaurants. They have limited tables, so we sat at the bar...a reservation is wise.

Wonderful people and food.......We walked in without a reservation on Saturday night.............after studying there book, they seated us. The food was incredible but the people were the best. This is a small restaurant with only 3 people working. Service was wonderful and we met the chef. It was a wonderful experience.
