Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort

As the reviews show, Munduk Moding Plantation is such a special place!😍 It’s on a real coffee plantation, so just walking around the property is amazing. Sooo green, quiet, the sound of birds everywhere. The vibe is completely different from most of Bali because it’s up in the mountains and a bit chilly, which actually makes it super cozy. We had a one-bedroom villa with a private pool overlooking the valley (on a clear day you can even see Lovina), a jacuzzi, and a fireplace inside, which ended up being our favorite thing. Warm pool, hot jacuzzi, fire on… perfect! The Balinese restaurant was so good we ate there multiple times, and they made everything vegan for us without any hassle. The staff were very kind and helpful. Highly recommend a stay in this cozy spot surrounded by green and coffee😍

What an incredibly special place that feels both luxurious and approachably warm. My husband and I spent 3 nights here in the Petung (Bamboo) Villa which was absolutely stunning, and we filled our days with all kinds of activities - many of which are included in the stay (like coffee tasting, making balinese offerings, and learning about the hotels's sustainability practices) and some you have to pay extra but are so worth it (the cooking class was my favorite thing!!!). Don't miss the included breakfasts (floating or not!) or the included tea and sweets in the afternoon. Also, eat at Warung Bongkot!!! try all the sambals! You'll be absolutely blown away. Work / wellness considerations – If you (like me) need it, the wifi is better than expected for how remote the property is and i was pleasantly surprised. On the wellness front, you will find a free gym with basic cardio and dumbbell equipment, paid yoga classes, and a spa/sauna (though the sauna is individual and, i believe, needs to be reserved - so just keep this in mind as i didn't realize and therefore couldn't use it during my time here!). There were so many nice touches throughout the stay that i won't ruin the surprise of by sharing them here. Balinese hospitality is known to be exceptional and this place takes it to the next level. A very warm suksma to the entire team and especially to Arik (our butler / main man during our stay) for taking such good care of us, from making reservations to giving us additional guidance on how to make the most of our stay. I hope to return someday!

What an amazing hotel! You are feel on the top of the world and the best thing it is there authenticity of Bali . Everywhere, in interior, in food, in service . Staff amazing, hotel, rooms are great. Atention to the details ! Litle bedstory every evening was soecial! Resort him self in the jungle, beatuiful side for walk and enjoy the stay! Options of activities great , not saying about two amaizing infinity pools! Breakfast and both restaurants food absolutely delicious.

My girlfriend took me here for my birthday as a suprise weekend getaway. We have been living in Bali for about three years now and I must say wow MMP honestly has some of the best staff I have come across, Everyone is super helpful and friendly and they all look like they really enjoy working there. Wish I could give the service more stars. The location and rooms were both also superb 10/10. Would be happy to go back here anytime! Thank you Riki, Tuadi, Irock and the rest of MMP Staff :)

We stayed 2 days in mid January, the rainy season in Bali, and heavy rain did pour during most of our stay. Our villas were well designed to show the spectacular view of the area, although we could only see it fully on the last day. We did love the relaxing time in the huge bath area with nice bath tub.|We got great service from all the staff, but especially wanted to mention pak Eddy who accommodated activities during the rainy days. We did spa, padel, pool table, table tennis when it rained. |We enjoyed the deep dive coffee tour around the hotel complex, understanding how coffee is produced and processed.

Absolutely Fantastic! What an experience. We absolutely loved our stay in this hotel. All the staff members take such an interest in all the guests, and do make you feel very special. The room was spacious and beautiful, and the pools, two jacuzzis and surrounding nature are just stunning. The hotel also offeres an excellent range of free and paid activities throughout the day. Would love to go back to this hotel one day!

I traveled solo to Bali for the entire month of October, 2025 -- and my time at Munduk Moding Plantation Resort was definitely amazing. Truly one of the very best places I've ever stayed. I only have the highest praise for every aspect of my experience there. In fact, I loved it there so much, I extended my stay by a couple nights just to have more time to soak it all in. A particular shout-out to Arik -- who's warm hospitality and fun personality was a highlight of my stay -- and my entire trip to Bali. Thanks to Arik -- and the entire MMP team! I hope to see you again soon -- and I'll definitely be staying at MMP on my next Bali adventure!

MMP is a beautiful resort that immerses you in the beauty of northern Bali. It’s a private, quiet escape from the hustle of the island. There has been a great effort made to integrate nature into every aspect of your stay here. The attention to detail makes you feel special. You’re greeted with flowers and delicious tea upon arrival, and every night, the staff brings you a little treat and a sweet note. Our favourite part of the stay was the private hot tub with the phenomenal view. We truly felt like we were on our own private island. The staff is kind and caring. A great effort was made to accommodate any allergies. This is the perfect place for people looking to slow down and relax in nature. There are many hikes and waterfalls nearby to allow you to truly enjoy the natural beauty of Bali.
