We stayed for a total of 6 nights at this hotel. Staff are very friendly and competent. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Location is great, just a short walk to the Nordfriedhof U-Bahn (subway) station. We took the U-Bahn into the city center. It’s easy to navigate using Google maps or the app. We had 3 adults and it was cheaper to buy a group ticket each day for unlimited rides vs buying individual tickets for each ride. You can buy the group ticket for the U-Bahn from the hotel Front Desk. This hotel is also close to the Lufthansa Express Bus stop at Nordfriedhof to and from the Munich airport. This express bus runs every 20 minutes and only costs 13 Euros for a single trip (if you buy your ticket on the bus; 12 Euros if you buy online). You can use the Lufthansa Express Bus regardless of which airline you’re flying. The website is: airportbus-muenchen.de. ||The Munich Hotel does not have an M Club/Executive Lounge but they have an Elite Zone in the evenings with some food served from 6-8 pm. The food is decent but some better options would be nice. Complimentary beer and wine served in the Elite Zone. ||We enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again next time we’re in Munich!

I've stayed at this property three times. It's excellent. The bed and room are outstanding. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great and close to my meetings. Easy to get an Uber or Taxi. The executive lounge was great. I would continue to stay here. A little known tip, Back in the 80s when Freddie Mercury absconded to Munich to record his solo Albums the studio is across the street from the hotel.

I would not recommend this hotel. Our room had a bad smell - the bathroom floor had a leak around the toilet - the shampoo, conditioner and bath wash was attached to the wall with double sided tape and kept falling off the wall. The hotel needs serious renovations. There was no coffee available before 6:30 am, when I asked about getting coffee I got a rude response. The TV’s were only in English. The staff wasn’t helpful or accommodating in my opinion.

My husband and I spent a week at the Marriott Munich Hotel and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We stayed on the second floor in a well-appointed room featuring a comfortable queen-sized bed, lounge sofa, desk, mini fridge, kettle, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, in-room safe, slippers, complimentary coffee and tea, and blackout curtains — which were excellent for restful sleep. The toiletries provided — including body lotion, body wash, and hair care products — had a delightful scent and added a luxurious touch to our stay. The hotel is located in a safe and convenient area, just down the street from a small grocery store, café, pharmacy, and bank. There are many restaurants in the vicinity, offering a variety of dining options. Access to public transportation is outstanding, with both tram and underground subway stations within easy walking distance. Our room was cleaned and restocked daily, and the reception staff were consistently courteous, helpful, and fluent in English. They provided excellent recommendations for getting around the city and visiting major attractions. The lobby also featured a helpful selection of tourist brochures and cards, which inspired us to explore much of what Munich has to offer. On-site amenities were impressive. We dined at Champions, the hotel’s restaurant, which offered great food and a lively atmosphere — perfect for watching sports on the big screen. The wellness facilities, including a pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and gym, were clean and well-maintained. Additional thoughtful touches such as fresh fruit in the lobby, snacks available for purchase, umbrellas for guest use, and an on-site ATM enhanced our overall comfort and convenience. One important note: while we were initially quoted one rate, the final cost ended up being approximately $1,000 more due to a convention in town. We were informed at booking that the quoted rate was a suggested price and subject to change, but the final cost was still a surprise and made the stay significantly more expensive than expected. Despite this, we had a wonderful experience overall and would recommend the Marriott Munich Hotel to other travellers seeking comfort, excellent service, and a prime location in Munich.

Great hotel. Here for a few nights only, it’s clean, spacious, well kept and the staff are super friendly. The bars and restaurants are great, especially the sports bar which has a decent selection of food and beer and the staff are super welcoming. About a 15/20 min cab ride from the old town. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped and the shower is lovely. Recommend this one

We had an awesome stay . Rashid Hussaini the host at lounge took great care. He is very dedicated to his job. He deserves appreciation. We were there at this hotel 2 times in a week. Great location and convenient place . Highly recommend this place .

Google
I have been here many times. The location was great and convenient. The rooms were good. However, the customer service continues to be a struggle especially for business trip. I have requested invoices and not once, but 3 times they still did not send the invoice correctly, timely. I wish such a simple request could be done correctly in a timely manner. It would make the entire experience given the physical location and the amenities provided was good.

I enjoyed my stay at the Munich Marriott Hotel immensely!|Not only was the food delicious but the service and friendliness of the staff was off the scale!|As a sole traveller, I am always extremely grateful of the kindness and helpfulness of others. The maitre d' (American but spoke German fluently) was very personable and helpful. I must mention Selaima Kogel, one of the many lovely waitresses in the restaurant. She was wonderful - super friendly and helpful!|The hotel is in the city so it's close to shops and transport.|5 Star accommodation!|Sally (Bundaberg, Australia)

Yelp
Travelers beware: there are serious plumbing problems at this hotel and staffing levels are inadequate to address those issues in a timely manner. You may even be left without a functioning toilet, as we were during our recent stay. We selected this hotel because we assumed that a Marriott would meet basic American standards -- such as functioning toilets and proper staffing 24 hours a day -- during our trip overseas. We were shocked that such expectations were unmet. On December 31, 2024 at 8:30 am we reported to the front desk that the toilet in our room wasn't flushing. This was especially problematic for a family of four with two children. When we arrived back to the room later that evening after a full day of sightseeing, the toilet still was not working. Our son used the toilet and then once again it wouldn't flush. We called the front desk again to report the issue. About a half an hour after our call, once our two children were sleeping, a hotel manager showed up. He explained he had no "engineers" working that night (what??). We even offered to plunge the toilet ourselves, but were told that it was a more complex problem requiring a plumber. If this was the case, then why didn't they change our room earlier in the day before our children were asleep? Was the toilet ever fixed during the morning visit? The management insists the problem was indeed fixed, but it clearly wasn't and the manager was unwilling or unprepared to help correct the issue. To rectify the inconvenience, the manager offered us a key to a different room down the hall from ours which he asked us to use for the evening and morning since our toilet couldn't be fixed. This was an absurd request and quite frankly, we were appalled that this happened at a Marriott hotel. At checkout, we told the woman at the front desk of our troubles and she offered nothing in the form of compensation -- only a simple "sorry, thanks for letting us know," and encouraged us to send an email. Truth be told, compensation should have been offered on the spot by the manager on duty once he acknowledged that they had nobody on staff available to help. Asking parents and children to walk down the hall in the middle of the night in a foreign country is a ridiculous request. Marriott should know better. To compensate for all of this, we requested a refund for one room night. Bear in mind that these facts are not in dispute, but rather than granting our request, management denied us and instead offered a 20% credit. This was an arbitrary and insufficient amount. A fair resolution would have been refunding us in the amount of the one room night when our bathroom was out of order. We paid full price for the room, but Marriott didn't deliver on its obligations. Their shoddy plumbing and staffing challenges became our problem, and their unwillingness to right their wrong is disheartening. Travelers beware!

Yelp
I like this place. Really I do. It is in the north part of Munich but just a few block walk to the metro and only minutes to Marian Platz. Not to mention it has a lovely bar, breakfast, spa, pool, and sauna. I normally stay at the Sheraton in Arabella park, just east of down town Munich, but no more. This place is hands and feet above that, and even walking distances to local German Beer Gardens, some owned by my fellow Croats! What else do I need.

Scott K.

Yelp
Very nice Marriott, location decent about 12 min from Allstadt area. Some decent restaurants within walking distance. M lounge and breakfast for those with status is quite good.

Joe L.

Yelp
Just arrived at the Marriott. Christmas tree in lobby. We are looking forward to a great stay. Breakfast is a super bonus! Enjoyed the vast selection of cheeses, meats, fruits and hot foods. They have plenty to choose from! The service is great and attentive. I enjoyed the pastries and breads with my meal.

Vicky B.

Yelp
I can't say enough positive things about my stay here. The hotel is modern, has friendly staff, clean rooms, and the buffet breakfast was beyond my wildest dreams. So many options! The only downside is that it's away from old town and about a 7 minute walk to the nearest subway station.

Sharon g.

Yelp
We got a dirty towel, not so clean, 2 bags of coffee in the room to 2 adults? Uncomfortable bed and very uncomfortable pillows

Greg O.

Yelp
Conveniently located in a semi residential area not far from a subway station. There are a number of food options within walking distance. We didn't each dinner at any of the on premise restaurants but the breakfast buffet each morning was great. There was a large variety of options that should cover any dietary preferences. Room was spacious and comfortable. As has become the norm the shower had pump bottles for shampoo conditioner and body wash attached to the shower wall. The scent was pleasant and not too strong.

Chad M.

Yelp
I stayed there for 5 nights. There was a billing issue that was resolved after a couple months of emails.

Yelp
Picked this hotel off the views of parking and having actual 2 queen beds in the room. And they have an indoor pool. This hotel is in the business district but there are way more options around it than I expected. Within the hotel you have a bar plus a restaurant that opens up in the evenings. Outside/near hotel: There is an Edeka (grocery store) down the street from the hotel. It's on a smaller scale so it will not have a lot of options compared to the bigger stores. There's a bank (Sparkasse) down from the hotel if cash is needed. The train station (Norfriedhof U6) is past both the Edeka and Sparkasse. It's is about 8 stops from Marienplatz. There are other restaurants that are around. Some are a little farther in distance but not terribly far. The staff I encountered during the stay was very nice. Simon assisted upon arrival and was a great help! Was able to get the business package for parking and breakfast as opposed to paying for them all separate. You are also able to get train tickets for the city and tour tickets at the counter. Being able to get the train ticket there was great because it helped to save money by not buying what was not needed. Maximilian was great at check out. Greatly appreciated them both! Room was good for what was needed. Bathroom seemed a little small but managed as again it was bigger than some I've encountered in Europe. Breakfast was your typical European buffet style. They did have an egg/omelet station. Didn't utilize it but the ones I saw looked good. There were tons of bread options. There were about 4 different types of juices. Two coffee machines and big variety of teas to choose from. They stop serving breakfast at 11am. Pool area has a jacuzzi area. The room is warm so it gives the illusion the water is warm but it isn't. There is a gym area near the pool. There is also a wet steam room and a sauna. Sauna was a nice size. Champions is the restaurant located within the hotel. It gives American sports bar feel just more lights. The staff here were amazing as well. Didn't catch their names unfortunately but all were great. Felt the fish needed a little more seasoning but with a condiment is was fine. Lounge 93 is the bar in the hotel lobby. Their chicken schnitzel was perfect!! Definitely recommend getting it! Overall hotel was a great fit for the trip!

Yelp
Very clean good location and cute restaurants and shopping around hotel. Transportation is close and staff are willing to accommodate.

Yelp
The Munich Marriott Hotel is conveniently located by the bus and train station. It's just a short pleasant walk down a lovely tree lined street and you are set to go anywhere. The entire hotel staff is wonderful. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was warm and friendly. The concierge was the most informative of any that I have ever experienced. He said that he has worked for Marriott for over 30 years and his hospitality skills are outstanding. There is a quiet business center and several other amenities. The rooms are very clean, organized and comfortable. Room service is available and priced competitively. There are a couple of great restaurants but we mostly enjoyed the lounge for Gold and Platinum members. The food and service was amazing.

L L.

Yelp
If you look for the traditional American luxurious decoration from this Marriott, you won't find it here. Instead, you will find nice European modern decoration. This hotel is popular and frequently full. I was lucky that I could check in early but some of my colleagues had to wait for their room despite of their top elite status. Overall my room was clean and comfortable. The amenities were functional. The only problem that I had was the clock, which was not working. That did not bother me. In conclusion, I have no complaints and will come back again.

Yelp
Finally I knew that when I got to the Marriott brand hotel on the very last leg of our tour that I would be "home" this is the nicest and most modern of the hotels with the Largest beds that we have stayed in Germany for the last 7 days

Ann C.

Yelp
I struggled with my review for this Marriott. Here's why: I specifically chose the Marriott on a recent business trip to Munich because despite my desire to soak up local and more authentic ambience when abroad, I also wanted consistency and convenience, i.e., an established franchise where I held a recognized status and - where needed - accommodation such as having a room ready upon coming in from a red-eye and having to roll directly into business meetings within two hours of checking in to the hotel. So here's where I was not delighted during my nearly week-long stay: - When I checked in, I was told no rooms were available and I'd have to wait an indeterminate amount of time. No greeting as a premier status member, no offer to otherwise assist, nothing. Front desk (admittedly a trainee) was nonchalant, generally polite but either clueless or disengaged. Three other front desk personnel ignored us, not a single one glancing over to see how the trainee was doing. - Nobody told me that my rate included breakfast. I found out by accident on *the morning I checked out* (yes, five days in). Consequently, I'd gone and gotten breakfast elsewhere the entire week. - It's an older hotel and the walls are quite thin. Neighbors were quite noisy, as were the taxi drivers and doormen hanging around the main entrance (my room was just above). - Room service for the room next door was delivered to my room - apparently something was wrong with the system as this almost repeated itself the next night. - Ordered grilled salmon one evening as room service, but despite having the order read back to me, the smoked salmon showed up instead (they did charge me for the latter though at least). Was so hungry I didn't bother sending it back. - A hotel employee woke me up at 8:30am on Saturday morning claiming to be housekeeping, knocking insistently until I got out of bed and opened the door to tell him thanks but no thanks at that hour of the morning. - The location is not terribly convenient for public transportation compared to other hotels at equal or better quality and price. Here's why I am nonetheless giving them four stars instead of three): - The front desk operator in the evenings was extremely pleasant, and very apologetic about the room service mix-up with the other room somehow being able to order as if it were coming from my room. She promised the charges would not show up on my bill, and they didn't. - The waiter who delivered room service was a really nice guy. - The hotel is a short and pleasant walk to the northern part of the English Gardens. - I decided at the last minute to get a massage at the in-hotel spa: the front desk was awesome in contacting the masseuse and getting me an appointment within the hour. - There's always a few taxis lined up in front, convenient if you need to get somewhere fast and don't have time to wait for Uber.

Yelp
We are titanium Marriott members so we have stayed at lots of Marriotts as well as other hotels worldwide. We can not say enough good things about this hotel. This time we here on vacation, my husband, 20-something year old daughter and myself. We stayed for a little over a week. First of all , it was only a short walk to the subway and they even sold subway tickets at the front desk. This made it super easy to get around and get to the train. We were happy that we could reserve a room with 2 beds, we found most other hotels had 1 bed and a pullout couch. We were provide free breakfast every day. It was amazing, omelets or eggs cooked to order. Nice selection of bacon and great sausages. There were fresh pastries including crescents. They had nice selection of fruit, cereal and yogurts. We spent the day touring and headed back to the hotel for dinner that was also included. There was always some nice German bier on tap and wine ( included , no limit to amount). Dinners included chicken curry, SPAETZLE, chicken in cream sauce and a beef dish. There was always an extensive salad bar that had different type of greens, tomatoes, cukes, peppers and more. Of course I can not forget the desserts every night.... raspberry pan a cotta type cup, chocolate pudding, pastries. Having breakfast AND dinner included really helped with the cost of the vacation which means we will be up for for another adventure soon!!

Yelp
Friendly staff everywhere. Clean rooms. Taxis always outside. Easy to get to downtown with U-Bahn. Make a left out the front door and like 2 blocks down the street. All day ticket is 6.40€ for an adult. Only 5 stops down to Marieplatz and shopping and tourist heaven! To get back from Marieplatz just follow the signs for U6 Odeonsplatz or Garching-Forschungszentrum. Great breakfast buffet. Open till 11am. Wide selection of hot/cold items, pastries, meats, salmon, yogurt, fruit and more. Fancy self-serve coffee (and hot chocolate) machines and a separate tea section by the entrance where you can easily make your own fresh pot! Using Ronnefeldt tea bag caddies you place into the pot. Love the newer Sony "55 HD TV in the room running Android TV! Appears to be 30+ Arabic channels, but also many of the usual English language channels (CNN, BBC, ITV) and various others. Haven't tried to tinker with getting Internet connectivity on the TV. Didn't see easy access to HDMI inputs.. Excellent neighborhood bakery (Muller) and supermarket (Tengelmann) a block down the street, make a left out the front door. Good place for snacks, candies etc.

Yelp
Very nice hotel with friendly staff! My husband and I are part of a tour group for our honeymoon and stayed here for 3 nights. This hotel is located about 20 minutes away from Marienplatz square by taxi and walking distance from a few grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacy, and a bank. The interior of the hotel is nice and modern. The staff were hospitable and always greeted us whenever we walked by them. They were also very helpful with directions to the nearest bank so we can exchange our US dollars to Euros. They offer complementary water/coffee/tea located near the elevators. They also have a spa/sauna but we never got a chance to try it out. Wifi is free if you're a Marriott rewards member. The wifi was fast and we had no issues connecting with it. When we initially checked in, we weren't told about some of the free amenities and we had to find out on our own by walking around for water. It wasn't worth docking a star down for that. The breakfast buffet is free every morning for hotel guests from 6-9:30 am. I have to say that their breakfast is amazing! The US Marriott hotel properties that offer breakfast are nothing compared to the European ones. Their breakfast includes bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, pancakes, omelettes, salad, cereals, yogurts, cheeses, deli meat, and breads. In addition, they have an assortment of juices and coffee to choose from. It's an impressive spread of food and everything was delicious! The room we had was clean and tidy. It came with a king size bed, which was a bit firm for our liking. The room also included a flat screen TV, small table with a chair, and a couch. The bathroom is a bit on the smaller side and the shower is designed with no door at one end so water splashes all over the bathroom floor. Overall, we had a good stay. If we ever come back to visit Munich again, we will be sure to stay here. I highly recommend!

Jamie L.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel that is conveniently located in Munich where there are attractions, city center, restaurants, and grocery stores nearby. The hotel is very large and has multiple food options in the very large lobby. If you go to the first floor at night, it is packed with people enjoying drinks, food, or watching sports games. Room is very comfortable and they have a great gym and pool, sauna, and hot tub with no additional cost. Of course the hotel is quite expensive itself so you are paying for these amenities, but I overall had a great stay here. Also, the breakfast buffet is pretty amazing and you might put on a lb. or two because their selection of everything is fantastic. It is a little expensive (27 euros) but if you're feeling like splurging, you should definitely get it.

Kimberly V.

Yelp
On a recent trip to Munich, my husband and I booked at the Munich Marriott. This Marriott did not disappoint. The staff, like all Marriott hotels we have stayed at, is all about amazing customer service. We were upgraded to a corner suite due to my husbands elite status with Marriott / Ritz Carlton and that also came with a complimentary cocktail hour and full breakfast. There was not a, 'Club Level' , at this Marriott so this took place in the restaurant on the lobby level. One could have made dinner out of the cocktail reception, as there was soup, salad and meats and cheeses to go with beer, wine or non-alcoholic beverages. The breakfast was out of this world and even IF it were not part of the 'deal', it would be well worth the 27€, as it's quite the spread of European breakfast delights and American, as well. Full eggs any style are cooked to order; crepes or waffles. The buffet had brats; stewed tomatoes; cheeses ; yogurts ; honey; so many pastries and breads. Cafe and tea all gratis. This would set you up for a full day in Bavaria! Our room was quite large suite or not for European standard, although the bathroom for a suite, was still small. Equipped with that crazy half glass rotating door for the shower that is common in European countries too! We had a living room, an actual dining room, Bose speaker surround system and a separate bedroom. The a/c never worked in any of this two country trips rooms , I don't know if the standard in Europe is to turn off the a/c because it's not quite summer? It still gets stuffy! Luckily the windows opened! This Marriott is further away from the city centre and Marienplatz but is lovely still. The English Gardens are right outside the door and there is a great Biergarten down the way with amazing food that we walked to. However, Uber is always near as are cabs to take you to the center. NOW, if you get your fill of German fare and want a American burger, there is Champions on site. But why?? The lobby bar is also nice and quite busy ; it does close promptly at 2300 , busy or not. I would totally return here again, as it's clean, quiet and very nice. Great customer service is everything:)

Tacoma G.

Yelp
Loved the traditional Marriott USA comfort feel in Germany Unfortunately I missed the mark with walking location to surrounding area for shops, dept stores. Other authentic restaurants. It is a business in/out location. U train is 7-15 min away depending on age and shape of a person! Breakfast was phenomenal and the hours of service was great! Mini bar was not restocked daily, front desk was made aware. Was also told at front desk tour bus wld drop us off back at hotel which did not happen. Sauna/steam room great bonus with heat. Staff was friendly, door guy was helpful the most especially with his English speaking to help us American foreigners who dnt understand German at all! But wld stay here again due to the new knowledge of U6 Tram familiarity to Marienplatz. we almost mastered but they change routes n stops or have u get off ? Not sure if this due to schedule, day of week , or staff? May think of other hotel in walking distance to Marienplatz?

Dan M.

Yelp
We weren't sure which Marriott to stay at in Munich, and glad we stayed at the full Marriott vs. the Courtyard. Although this one is located a few subway stops from the city center, it makes up for it with better fitness center and breakfast options for gold/platinum members. The rooms are what you would expect at a Marriott, but I have to echo G.S.'s comment about getting used to the showers since the shower door only covers half the tub, and you are constantly concerned about splashing over the tub to the bathroom floor (this must be a European thing as I have seen this in other countries as well, or they take more baths vs. showers since most showers appear to be retrofit add-ons). They definitely make elites feel welcome at this hotel. You will receive free breakfast (every day) in the hotel restaurant and free evening drink/snack service as well (Sun - Fri). Breakfast includes omelette/make to order egg station, cereals, juices, coffee/tea, assorted breads, pretzels (yes pretzels), fruits, lunch meats, and of course wieners/sausages (this is Germany). Hotel is located in a business district, so not much going on at night, but near a U-Bahn subway which is quick trip to Marienplatz city center. Also a bonus is that the Lufthansa Airport Bus drops off an easy 5 minute walk to the hotel (quicker trip than taking the train which requires transferring).

Stephanie V.

Yelp
Friendly check-in. The outside of the hotel is not beautiful, but the rooms were nicely decorated. I always find it a bit unpleasant if there is no bathrobe provided in the room by default - surely, you can ask for it, but when I arrive late at night I don't feel like waiting for it. Breakfast was nice, great options for vegetarians. Good location, in a nice neighborhood, 20 min drive to the city center, quite close to the airport as well.

Maria W.

Yelp
I was blessed with a junior suite which is an excellent space and layout. Disappointed that the room wasn't super clean. The floors look untouched.

Dayla W.

Yelp
The hotel is located very close to the subway which is so helpful getting around the city! The hotel lobby was warm and cozy for such a large hotel. It was full of brochures and helpful tips to get ideas of what to do in the city. The rooms are average size. I was on the 5th floor and could hear all the traffic below. The bathroom had wonderful amenities but the shower only has a half door which was very messy every time I turned the water on! The breakfast buffet in the morning was very good but a tad on the expensive side, 17 euros.

Penguin S.

Yelp
It's a nice Marriott as they go, busy little bar, quiet neighborhood, near the subway. Not much else in the area, except one of the largest cemeteries in Europe. Compact hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Room was good sized with med sized bathroom. No ipod port. No plug next to bed. could easily hear hall noise. Nice room and art. Fridge, large TV that does not move for easy viewing from desk. Nice desk, hard bed and no clock visible. The walls were scuffed up. Tried to go to the local grocery store, but it closed early.

Matt F.

Yelp
We are loyal Marriott customers, and hotels like this are a big reason why. The property was spotless, the service was great, and, well, there was a bar in the lobby. If we're going to drink our way through Germany, what better way to start? It was a little bit out of the way as far as attractions in Munich, but they have great public transportation, so it's workable. Anyway, they have a bar in the lobby so you won't be worried about the location.

Jeff B.

Yelp
Great hotel with large and comfortable rooms. The morning meal is quite satisfactory. They have a nice hotel bar in the lobby, but it really doesn't have a lot of room. They do not have a concierge lounge - so they try to make up for it - but its a pretty weak attempt. There is a Champion's Sport Bar connected to the hotel, so you can actually have a decent drink. The check-in/check-out process can be very lengthy if caught behind one of the many groups of conference goers who stay here. They do not have a dedicated line for Marriott Elites, which would be a nice addition here. Room for improvement with the service, but the rooms are great.

julie n.

Yelp
The front desk staff were great. They took the time to explain everything and answered a lot of questions. They were all very friendly throughout our 3 day stay. We booked a corner sweet and the room was awesome with 2 huge patio spaces with nice furniture. Room was clean. The pool was freezing and the hot tub was luke warm. The buffet is good with a nice variety and fresh made to order omelette station. Coffee machines to make lattes or espressos. Parking is $24 euros a day.

Manuela W.

Yelp
I was torn between staying in this location versus the one closer to train station and I'm happy we decided on this one ! It was within 7 min waking distance to the UBahn station and a quick ten min ride to the city! Quiet neighborhood and clean rooms! Staff was super friendly ! Breakfast Buffett was well worth the money and the staff there made us feel very welcome every single day! We will definitely stay there again . We stayed in the junior suite and had a nice view towards the city at night

Reza N.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, the Hotel is located in a nice area and easy access to the highway. Food is good, went to The sports bar for dinner and watched the F1 race, breakfast was included in room rate and the food great. Overall good value and good location friendly staff and clean.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Currently staying here. Checked in and asked for a quiet room - got that but there was mold in the shower and no in-room safe. So, not wanting to risk my laptop being stolen, I request a new room. It turns out to be right across from the elevator. Those rooms don't tend to be quiet so, head back to the front desk for another room. So far, not exactly quiet and it needs some cleaning. I've got pictures of unidentifiable stains and residue on the walls and carpet. Only two more nights....sigh.

Yelp
Good accommodation near the Nordfriedhof U station. I had to get used to the showers because the enclosure is only partially closed. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfasts have a nice selection of local fare, breads, cheeses, and omelette station. The dinners are average.

Yelp
The service at the hotel was less than stellar after they lost our luggage. Their response was even worse and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to families or anyone looking to relax. They need to improve the training of the staff to be more aware of the customers that stay at the hotel. The management of the hotel stated they have ran hotels in DC and other big cities, but they need to return to the basics of customer service.

Yelp
Check in was a nightmare, basically. I'm Platinum, so there are some details you receive when checking in (free upgraded internet, free breakfast, concierge lounge if there is one, etc). I not only did not receive any of this information, but was not greeted or acknowledged as Platinum at all. But that wasn't the only problem. Lots of issues with discussing parking, concierge information (I was told there was a lounge, but in fact there is not), and nothing about the free breakfast vouchers she was supposed to give me. She told me the wrong elevator to get to my room - an elevator that doesn't go to my floor. I had to drag everything back down and find a valet (wait, you have valets? Where were you when I walked in half an hour ago??) to assist me. He did and was helpful. I then tried to connect to the upgraded internet, and couldn't. The instructions on the site were not working (would not load what it said it would), so went down to ask - was given an annoyed run-around and told to "go back to my room" repeatedly. Never did get instructions from her, except to be told you can't connect to guest wifi in the lobby - a LIE - and told again to go back to my room. WTF? I always request feather-free in advance (allergies), and the room was not. I finally called and requested a manager, who was not available. After half an hour, he requested to come to our room, made all his apologies, asked for names, etc. Sent up 2 beers for all our trouble. Erm...OK. Thanks for the beers, but most properties would have offered more, but still, no big deal. Bed was relatively comfortable, wifi was just fine when we finally connected, and the pillows were great. Location is really close to a subway stop, which is very convenient. (Not included in star rating, but beware, that subway is REALLY busy and popular, expect to be squished with a bunch of commuting Germans the entire way into town.) Checkout was OK, if not exactly friendly. Our parking pass expired early, meaning we could not get out of the parking garage after checking out. Had to walk back in, only to find their parking ticket machine was down. They did eventually get us out the back entrance, used for deliveries. Overall, while the customer relations guy was nice, and the property was lovely, and the convenience to the subway was good - I probably wouldn't stay here again. Just so much of a hassle. After days of stress of traveling, I wanted a Marriott property as an oasis, because as a Platinum I'm home in a Marriott. This made me feel like I was intruding on a barely-known cousin who was begrudgingly let me stay there.

Yelp
Kind of torn on this review. The negatives were that things were a bit unclear when we checked in as far as parking, which elevator we needed to use to get to the 6th floor, the details for Platinum customers, and also our room did not have the feather free pillows we requested. On the other hand their manager on duty was quick to set everything right. The location was good...located close to the ring roads as well as being near a Subway Station which would take you right down to the Old City. Pretty tasty breakfast in the morning, and the room was comfortable. Not exactly up to a full service Marriott standard, but it has potential.

Yelp
After enjoying three days and nights to partake in the Oktoberfest celebration at a hotel a few blocks from the Theresienwiese, we decided to stay at the Munich Marriott on day four, and agreed that we should have stayed here the entire time. Not only is the hotel top-notch and reasonably priced, but it's very close to the U-Bahn. The neighborhood has several excellent restaurants, and we enjoyed walking around the beautiful and quaint neighborhoods. Whenever we return to Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest, the Munich Marriott is the only place for us: It's perfect in every way and far less than what we paid at another hotel that was not nearly as nice.

Yelp
The family & I stayed here during the Oktoberfest 2011. This hotel was far from all but the metro, a few blocks away, made everything in Munich easily accessible. Having an indoor pool during the cold weather made it even better to relax at, with the jacuzzi right next to it. The Sunday buffet solved our breakfast/lunch venue. This property was clean and the adjacent properties surrounding it was clean as well. Thanks for the very good overall accommodations.

Yelp
Great hotel , the staff is ver helpful and accommodating. The hotel is very close to the train station making it easy to get to the City Center. If culture fine dining and great shopping are what you after than this is a city for you Munich has a lot to offer in every aspect of the astute traveler.
