Municipal Crafts Market

This is where all the shops are selling souvenir items from Costa Rica. It is a fine place but all the shops have exactly the same items. There is only one shop selling something authentic and different. The prices are tourist prices and excessively expensive.

I usually go to the “Artesanías con Identidad” store at the market. The artisans themselves run the stalls, selling their own handcrafted pieces. The craftsmanship is authentic, high-quality, and entirely handmade. Highly recommended by a local! You can find it at stalls 68 and 70.

Vendors are quite persistent in having you enter the shop and buy but remember this is how they make a living. Everything is actually cheaper here than the other locations. Haggle a little bit safe a few bucks. All the shops pretty much have the same stuff.

Lots of shops, but mostly the same items. Expensive prices altogether, and almost all vendors were very pushy when we went there. Very different experience from the Mercado Central.

All the souvenir shops in one place. Nice products, friendly people ,little bargain and you buy !Very close to the Plaza de la cultura.

It's okay, small, if you've traveled around costa Rica nothing here will be of surprise or be something of interest. Will be pricier than elsewhere. Hard to browse because vendors are on you, but if you need last minute souvenirs you can get it here.

Nice market for get some souvenirs. Close to the main area and Well organized

Very good prices compared to other places (especially La Fortuna and Monteverde) where they were sometimes 3-5+ times the price! So if you're visiting here at the start of your holiday then buy souvenir's here
