A really interesting museum, showcasing the civilisations of the three main communities of Ioannina: the christian, the muslim and the jewish one. These communities have lived together in Ioannina for ages and have a lot of shared history. I consider this museum a symbol of peace between these communities, as it is a reminder that there is space for everyone to live together.

Fascinating, especially the costumes. Look out for the madrassa

A very moving place which shows how the three communities (Muslims, Jews and Christians) lived happily together in the 19th century, before the 20th catastrophes. It also allows to quietly discover the beauty of the interior of a preserved 17th century mosque, which is very rare everywhere else.

Beautiful area of the old Ioannina castle, but on the north-eastern side, which receives less attention than the south-eastern side, where the Byzantine Museum is located. Nonetheless worth a visit and a stroll. Once the hammam and the library are restored, alongside the main buildings, this area will hopefully get the attention it deserves!

An absolute must see in Ioannina! The mosque has been beautifully turned into a museum. Exhibits are interesting, most impressive to me is the architecture and decoration.

Beautiful and interesting museum in a former mosque, but the dome of the mosque has been erased, too bad!

A nice letting museum, located in an ottoman fort which is worth a visit on it's own.
