3 km (one way) walk from end to end. The most interesting 2km is near the tower, but there's a lot to see across the whole city from this view point. Pros Great views Not busy Kids under 8 free Some benches Several bins Cons No shade Lots of steps up and down (some points have wheelchair access) No toilets in any of the entry points Very different but interesting experience compared to walls of Lucca, however would recommend if you're mobile and like to avoid the crowds

€5 per person, under 8 years old are free. Lovely high level walk with views over Pisa. We entered at point B (about 45 steps plus ramps) and walked along to point A (about 57 steps). On a sunny day there is no shelter from the sun 😊

The Mura di Pisa is an absolute must-see in Pisa. While everyone else is crowded around the Leaning Tower taking the same staged photos, you can spend just a few euros to walk along the ancient city walls—and it’s an experience that completely changes your perspective of the city. From the top, you get breathtaking, quiet views of the tower and the entire Piazza del Duomo, from angles almost no one else sees. The walls let you step away from the tourist chaos and see what life is really like behind the scenes, with locals going about their day just beyond the main attractions. Walking the Mura di Pisa is not just a nice extra—it’s one of the highlights of visiting the city and a unique experience you won’t want to miss.

A unique way to see Pisa from above. Walking along the ancient city walls offers peaceful views over rooftops, gardens, and historic landmarks. Well-maintained and less crowded than other attractions, it’s a great way to experience the city from a different perspective.

This located near the tower of Pisa. The castle walls stretching about 4km of the city. You can get a nice view of the city. Not much shelter, so be mindful of the weather conditions. The ending point is near the river and a 10 mins walk to the city centre.

Difficult to find the entry point at the opposite end to the Torre but a great walk. €4 to walk but worthwhile. The walkway is quite narrow. In peak season entries are timed but in October we were just able to walk straight in. Lovely views of the city and the tower cathedral and baptistry.

This wall walk is a real hidden gem, giving you amazing views from an elevated position. The walls walking path is in an excellent condition and easy to use. There are elevators and stairs to take you up / down, and the walls stretch for a fair way and accessed at various points/ gates along the way. These’s also a great app you can download which has an audio guide for using while on the walls. All looks very newly renovated, and all very well organised. Definitely worth doing. You can buy tickets in advance on the app, or at the gates / access points.

Highly recommended. The view of the complex is very beautiful and it was nice to walk along the wall. Price is 5€ and it's worth it. Make sure to take a bottle of water with you if you visit in the summer. We were lucky that today was a bit cloudy and really enjoyed our walk
