Must be one of the most beautiful and most complete Ottoman mosques in Turkey, dating to the 1580s CE. Entering the compound from a gateway, the stone elements of the exquisitely decorated facade and two minarets announce a greater beauty inside, with original stone, glazed tile and painted features. The mihrab and minbar (pulpit) are especially fine. The many windows pleasantly illuminate the interior. Sultan Murad III must have been very pleased with the result; you will enjoy it too.

Very nice mosque, beautiful interior, cool, clean, quiet.
Do find, touch, and inspect the unique rotating stone cylinders built inside the walls, a method to signal earthquake? Apparently, they spin and rattle before tremor hits. Clever, strange, perhaps effective?

Built in 1586. It has multiple dorms and two minutes surrounded by tall trees.

This restaurant has inside/outside dining, a very good selection of food and warm friendly staff. There is no menu you select before being seated. Meat is very good and cooked to order. This is a popular busy restaurant and everything very fresh, dessert is included. Great table service, valet parking.Turkish restaurant run by Turkish people so don’t expect much English (if any).
