The hidden gem! An absolutely artistic and cultural place. You can see a beautiful village adorned with stunning murals. it almost feels like a maze waiting to be discovered. This village is located near the mountains, allowing you to take breathtaking photos that capture the composition of the landscape and the village together✨✨✨📸

Have wanted to visit this place and should have done it sooner, as now, some of the artwork has suffered the elements, but it's still worth going to see it. Good parking in the streets and a couple of bars for a coffee.

Magical? Depressing? Gorgeous? Confronting? I think all these apply to the murals of San Isidro in Orihuela. It's a fascinating sight to see this relatively (so I've been told) neighbourhood. The majority of houses is beautifully decorated by a mural, often with a less positive message. Makes you think and provides a stark contrast with the blue skies and beautiful environment!

Over 200 art works, get a list of them from the tourist office, they are amazing

Worth a look if you are within the area. Sadly some of the paintings are in need of a little care and attention.

Well worth visiting this neighbourhood which pays homage to the poet Miguel Hernández with murals and excerpts from his poems.
