Muri Beachcomber

We had a lovely time staying here in a poolside garden villa. Staff were super friendly, accommodated our extra requests, stored our luggage after we checked out and have a nice room available to use after we checked out while waiting for our flight. Rooms nice, clean comfortable, breakfast pack in fridge with cereal & toast. Location superb right on Muri lagoon. 100% recommend staying here.

This is our third stay at Muri Beachcomber and it never disappoints . We took friends this time and they loved it as well. |The location is fantastic- right on the beach, close to restaurants and the bus stops right outside. Car hire, activities and a supermarket are also close by and the night food markets are next door.|The pool is nice if the beach is windy but the lagoon is great for kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and snorkeling- it’s quite wide here and there are small islands (motu) to visit by water. |The sea view units are roomy and comfortable and the provided breakfast is great. |The kitchen is handy if you want to cook and you can eat indoors or on the patio outside. |Having a laundry onsite helps if you stay a while. |The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

80th birthday celebration for my husband. Very relaxing, quiet beautiful place. Great accommodation. Loved sitting looking out at lagoon and everything happening. Room very clean and tidy great staff. Lots of toys to use in water. Close to food market, great cafes and lovely restaurants. Great value for money.

Thanks for a great stay. Nothing was too much bother for the staff, they looked after us very well. There was everything you need for a great holiday - free use of kayaks, snorkels and stand up paddle boards. Our unit was lovely, just a few steps to the beach, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and nice bathroom. We didn't have air-conditioning but an adequate ceiling fan. There's a great pool for windy days and the Muri market right next door. We loved the morning drumming from the boats taking tourists out. The lagoon was beautiful with safe swimming and we got to swim with turtles. I highly recommend Muri Beachcombers....I'll be back!

We stayed in an ocean view villa (10). The staff were friendly and helpful with all our enquiries. The location, the view and beach as well as the free facilities (kayaks, snorkel, flippers and goggles) were used and much appreciated. Our room was cleaned each day and our breakfast pack deposited into our fridge each day as well. We loved our stay here and will definitely stay here again on a future holiday.

We’ve been to Raro many times but our first time to the beachcomber, this time was for a big birthday. Our hosts were fantastic and the staff were great. The location here is amazing, right next to the night markets, excellent cafes, bars and restaurants within walking distance and of course the best beach straight off the front of the resort. |We met people who come back to the same resort every year, one couple from Canada were there for their eleventh year! |Our room was serviced to a good level every day, the fridge was restocked and the fresh fruit from the office was beautiful. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay including parking for our car. Great value!

10 days spent at the Muri Beachcomber and we are super relaxed.|Everything you could want/need is either in the beautiful lagoon or along the road that backs the resort.|We loved every moment.|Three pieces of advice:|1. Do the cross island trek if you are capable. It is not as hard as it is portrayed online and absolutely worth it .|2. Follow the locals to their favoured eating places. Lovely food at good prices.|3. Lastly, but most importantly .... ease into the pace of island life as soon as you can. It makes everything so much more enjoyable.

Perfect location in Muri! Absolutely great spot to stay in Muri. We spent our days kayaking and swimming and relaxing on the Muri Lagoon, saw turtles just about every day. The resort is right next to Muri markets and within a 1 minute walk of a 24 hour little supermarket and 5 places to eat (plus you can eat at other resorts like the Pacific etc) so you could stay here without a car for a beach holiday, the local bus stops right at the front. You can use kayaks, snorkelling gear and bikes free. Also guest laundry was great as we'd been travelling for 8 days. It's a peaceful resort and very relaxing! I much preferred this side of the island on Raro. Only cons were the fact when we checked in they didn't tell us at reception they were changing our room the next day and we just had a letter on the table to tell us when we got to the room. The young lady showing us the room had no idea and said shed go back and check if that was right. When getting the new room the next day the cleaner had spent 30 minutes cleaning it (we were waiting to change over after 2pm) however we knew the couple before us were there 3 weeks. It needed a big clean which wasn't done. So I cleaned the room myself even having to mop with a beach towel as the floors were sticky and dirty. The bedroom hadn't been aired out and really smelled like sweat. So we were disappointed and I feel when changing guests over you should check in etc it was just an average experience from the staff and felt like a downgrade moving from room 3 that had a very comfy bed and was very clean (just to note the lady that cleaned our room the next day did a fantastic job and I tipped her). Hopefully we were just unlucky with that experience. We booked an extra night as we flew out late so left room at 7pm however there is a room with TV shower etc for people waiting to go to airport which is a great idea.
