Muri Beachcomber

Situated in the heart of Muri, right on the beach. We had a lovely beach view from our room and only a few steps to the beach. The room was clean and the kitchen well equipped if wanting to self cater. The breakfast included was cereal and bread, good enough to start the day. There are plenty of good eating places within walking distance, also the night markets are next door. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay with Muri Beachcomber. The location was fantastic - on the lagoon and within easy walking or biking distance of multiple attractions, shops and eateries. The units were clean and well set up, including outdoor loungers and BBQs. Free use of SUPs, kayaks, bikes and snorkelling gear was an absolute bonus - hours and hours of fun! And all the staff were fabulous - welcoming, friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend Muri Beachcomber.

Excellent location for everything - beach, food market, coffee (The Fix, across the road), convenience store, cafes, bus stop out front. Has paddle boards and canoes, mask, snorkels and fins, rock booties and bikes available for free. We didn't see the need for a car as the bus served our purposes but would recommend a car for a family to get around. Another plus, they don't surcharge anywhere on the island for using your credit card - bonus! Rarotonga was not as expensive as were led to believe, just a matter of doing your homework of where to buy and what you can bring in with you.

We were absolutely stoked with our choice of Muri Beachcomber. We were pleasantly surprised with the resort as we had never been to Rarotonga and expected it to be some big commercial place but we really like that it was a small community minded resort. We stayed in a seafront unit and the views and sunrise we could watch from our room were unreal. It was amazing being able to step right out of our room and straight onto the most magical beach and swimming spots. The location of this resort was perfectly placed with the Muri night markets immediately next door and within walking distance of other food outlets and touristy activities. The resort provided free access to bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling equipment which we made full use of. We were really impressed with this resort. The staff and hospitality was also top notch. We would definitely recommend it to like-minded travellers!

The location of this accommodation was excellent. Lagoon was beautiful and lots of choices to eat / drink within walking distance. The lagoon tours are also next door. |The Watergarden villa is tidy and the gardens are maintained well. Staff were excellent and got a lovely hug from housekeeping lady to say goodbye and see you later. Chickens were delightful too. We will certainly return. Thank you.

11 days, clean comfortable villa, friendly staff and Keni was a great housekeeper too. Muri Beachcomber is located superbly on Muri Lagoon, right next to the Night Markets and lots of other eateries close by. Can’t imagine of a better place to stay and hoping to go back one day.

Had an absolutely lovely stay, Simon and staff were very helpful and friendly. The shuttle running is to and from the airport, very friendly 😊 a lovely relaxing holiday. The people working in the resorts lovely and friendly.

Our stay at Muri Beachcomber was great! We arrived early in the morning on the overnight flight and really appreciated the smooth airport transfer and cool guest lounge to relax in while we waited our accommodation being ready. Our hosts (Shelley and Simon) welcomed us from the second we arrived and were available to answer questions or sort any issues quickly during our 6 night stay. All the staff were obliging and lovely. |Our bungalow was perfectly positioned right in front of the beach. The resort was very clean and our bungalow was tidy and we'll equipped. The pool is relaxing and grounds are nicely maintained. |Muri Beachcomber provides push bikes, snorkelling gear, SUPs and kayaks which is great. They also provide personal insect repellent but we really didn't need it during our stay. |Location wise, Muri Beachcomber is perfectly situated right next door to the Muri night markets, Sailing Club restaurant and many other dining options. Make sure to try the Saigon Shack Rarotonga for a delicious Vietnamese meal. Snorkelling is great and there are 2 islands to kayak, SUP or walk/swim to which is great fun. Hiring a scooter or car is pretty much essential for exploring beautiful Rarotonga - Island Car and Scooter hire is just across the road, best to organise this before you arrive. Avarua is only 5 mins drive away or you can grab the bus. | We love that Rarotonga has chickens, dogs and cats wandering around as respected members of the community - very quirky and cute. The animals are well looked after too and the caring relationship between people and animals is a reflection of how relaxed and kind the community is.|Definitely recommend Muri Beachcomber as a great place to stay when holidaying at Rarotonga.
