Muri Beachcomber

Muri Beachcomber is a great place to stay our accommodation was on the Beach side with great veiws of the Lagoon. The cottage was very clean and tidy and well appointed for self catering and BBQ and loungers for each cottage. |Keni was a great housekeeper keeping everything up to date very particular and clean. Beachcomber is right next door to the Night market which was great for dining. Easy walking distance to some lovely restaurnts and bus stop at the gate. Free use of kayaks, snorkels and bikes. From the time we arrived for our 8 nights until we left everyone was so helpful and they went above and beyond when our flight was delayed from the afternoon until 1am Shelly was just fantastic to make sure we were comfortable. We arrived in the middle of the 60th anniversary constitution celebrations which was a bonus. July 30th to 7th Aug. Once again thank you Muri Beachcomber to all staff from the Airport Transfer to Beachcomber and the final goodbye to the transfer back to the airport. Absolutely highly recommend

Perfect location in Muri! Absolutely great spot to stay in Muri. We spent our days kayaking and swimming and relaxing on the Muri Lagoon, saw turtles just about every day. The resort is right next to Muri markets and within a 1 minute walk of a 24 hour little supermarket and 5 places to eat (plus you can eat at other resorts like the Pacific etc) so you could stay here without a car for a beach holiday, the local bus stops right at the front. You can use kayaks, snorkelling gear and bikes free. Also guest laundry was great as we'd been travelling for 8 days. It's a peaceful resort and very relaxing! I much preferred this side of the island on Raro. Only cons were the fact when we checked in they didn't tell us at reception they were changing our room the next day and we just had a letter on the table to tell us when we got to the room. The young lady showing us the room had no idea and said shed go back and check if that was right. When getting the new room the next day the cleaner had spent 30 minutes cleaning it (we were waiting to change over after 2pm) however we knew the couple before us were there 3 weeks. It needed a big clean which wasn't done. So I cleaned the room myself even having to mop with a beach towel as the floors were sticky and dirty. The bedroom hadn't been aired out and really smelled like sweat. So we were disappointed and I feel when changing guests over you should check in etc it was just an average experience from the staff and felt like a downgrade moving from room 3 that had a very comfy bed and was very clean (just to note the lady that cleaned our room the next day did a fantastic job and I tipped her). Hopefully we were just unlucky with that experience. We booked an extra night as we flew out late so left room at 7pm however there is a room with TV shower etc for people waiting to go to airport which is a great idea.

Great stay here at Muri Beachcomber. Resort is well kept, views are amazing & house keeping staff are very friendly. In regard to location we personally think you can’t beat it. Great dining options, cafes, juice bars and right next door to Night market. Lagoon is beautiful but can be abit smelly & snorkelling not great where the resort is but the great part is its only minutes from a Marine park with excellent snorkelling. Amenities/ bikes/ canoes etc all great. We would and hope to definitely return.

Had a fabulous stay - friendly hosts. Units of good size - clean & tidy. We had new shower in our unit which was great. So handy to everything. Night markets . Swimming / kayaks -stand up boards available. Great location . We will be back 👍

Situated in the heart of Muri, right on the beach. We had a lovely beach view from our room and only a few steps to the beach. The room was clean and the kitchen well equipped if wanting to self cater. The breakfast included was cereal and bread, good enough to start the day. There are plenty of good eating places within walking distance, also the night markets are next door. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay with Muri Beachcomber. The location was fantastic - on the lagoon and within easy walking or biking distance of multiple attractions, shops and eateries. The units were clean and well set up, including outdoor loungers and BBQs. Free use of SUPs, kayaks, bikes and snorkelling gear was an absolute bonus - hours and hours of fun! And all the staff were fabulous - welcoming, friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend Muri Beachcomber.

Loved our stay - we had a garden villa- enjoyed the privacy that it gave- great outdoor seating and loungers. We made the most of their toys- bikes, SUPs, kayaks and snorkelling gear and pool. |The location is perfect for night market and other restaurants. |Shelly and staff are super helpful. |Would highly recommend Muri Beachcomber for your Island getaway.

We were absolutely stoked with our choice of Muri Beachcomber. We were pleasantly surprised with the resort as we had never been to Rarotonga and expected it to be some big commercial place but we really like that it was a small community minded resort. We stayed in a seafront unit and the views and sunrise we could watch from our room were unreal. It was amazing being able to step right out of our room and straight onto the most magical beach and swimming spots. The location of this resort was perfectly placed with the Muri night markets immediately next door and within walking distance of other food outlets and touristy activities. The resort provided free access to bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling equipment which we made full use of. We were really impressed with this resort. The staff and hospitality was also top notch. We would definitely recommend it to like-minded travellers!
