This is the best ice cream I've had in Ireland, without question. It's excellent. Had a 2 scoop bowl, with brown bread and a sea salt ice cream. Heavenly. Not your normal flavors. You got a try this !

Google
I love Murphy's! Their flavors are simple but unique, and there's not that many to choose from - meaning they do those few flavors well. We were strolling around the Grafton Street area and passed by Murphy's. It was a Friday, around 3:30. Even though it was busy, and a bit chaotic, the employees still took the time to greet us and even talk to us for a bit. Maybe that's a requirement if you want to work at Murphy's - that you have to be friendly, because we went to the Cork location and they were very nice there as well. Or maybe everyone in Ireland is just nice and I'm just a jaded New Yorker. Anyway, we went with a classic - the Dingle Sea Salt. It was very smooth and clean-tasting. If the ice cream shop was closer to our hotel, we definitely would have went (at least) once a day. So maybe it's a good thing that it wasn't!

Google
Ice cream is a must for us on vacation and this certainly didn’t disappoint! My sister enjoyed her ice cream sandwich a lot while my mom and I both got scoops. We tried the butterscotch, Kieran’s cookies and Irish soda bread flavors - all amazing and so creamy.

Google
Murphys is a must have if you are visiting Ireland! We were in Ireland for a week and I'm only mad we didn't come across it sooner! The ice cream is absolutely delicious.. probably the best I have ever had. The flavors are unique and the staff is by far the friendliest I have ever encountered. Stop by and grab a cone of sea salt and brown bread and you won't regret it!

Google
There is something about ice cream made out of a custard base. In my opinion, that is a superior ice cream, it is guaranteed to be solid, creamy, and flavorful. Murphys is popular among the locals. There are queues even late into the night. They have a large choice of flavors, even alcoholic ones. I also liked their cookie sandwich. The cookie was tasty. The custard base is very solid. One notices that they use high-quality ingredients. Their weakness lies in the inconsistency of the storage. They are refrigerating different ingredients at the same temperature, as a result, some ice cream has ice crystals. That’s a pity. The solution is to stick to the flavors that work well, the salt sea one is a highlight, also the caramel honeycomb. Another positive aspect of Murphy’s is the seating space and the extremely friendly staff. Everyone is very kind and approachable. I would just return to have a chat about how to prepare ice cream with the staff. It is a 4/5.

Google
Scrumptious ice cream. Original flavors. Honeycomb caramel was the number one choice by almost everyone in our group. The raspberry was tasty too. Worth a stop. Always a line which tells you something.

Walking by this place, I noticed a long line, so I decided to give it a try. And boy, was I glad I did! Murphy’s is one of the best must-try places in Dublin. What sets Murphy’s apart is that they make real ice cream, free from any colorings, flavorings, or powdered milk. They use only the finest ingredients, including fresh, locally sourced milk, rich cream, free-range eggs, and organic sugar. And they even make their own sea salt for ice cream. The staff is incredibly friendly and generous with samples, making it difficult to choose a flavor. They have both non-alcoholic and alcohol-infused ice cream options, catering to all tastes. But the favorites are sea salt and cookies. Yum!

I always wanted to try this place and I’m so glad I did. The staff were so so friendly, which is so rare and a very tourist driven area. They offered to give out samples and I really loved all the flavors I have there. I decided to go with the brown soda, bread, flavor, and the salted one as well. I love the unique flavor profiles and can’t wait to try more. Everything so delicious.

Yelp
When in Dublin, you must get yourself a scoop of Murphy's Ice Cream. I first heard about Murphy's through Somebody Feed Phil, one of my favorite travel food shows. The flavors are pretty unique, each one having its own Irish twist to it. Flavors like Irish brown bread, Irish cream liqueur, and Dingle sea salt are all reasons why you should stop here during your trip to Ireland - you won't be able to find anything like it anywhere else! I opted for one scoop of the honeycomb caramel and one scoop of the chocolate whiskey. Both were absolutely delicious! The service here is great, the staff is very patient and generous with samples. The kind person working the counter even gave me an umbrella that had been left abandoned for a while, as I was soaked from walking in the rain. That was really sweet and I appreciated it so much. This shop is small with no real seating areas so I would recommend coming here and planning to walk around with your cup or cone. There's plenty to see nearby anyways.

Yelp
Best Irish ice cream I dublin. Everything is made from fresh and natural ingredients. This ice cream really highlights how great Irish dairy is. The ice cream prices range from ~€6-9 I think. The service is extremely friendly and fun, you could taste samples before u make ur picks. They also have some seats, which is great for when it's too cold outside. They also have some ice cream pints to go and they sell small souvenir items as well. The flavors are great, they change up a couple of them every couple of months. Best ice cream in dublin in my opinion. It's a must try for sure!

Yelp
Service: friendly Interior: nice colors Ice cream: the quality was really good! A bit small for my american habits but really tasty! I like the irish brown bread more than the dingle sea salt Would go back. Somebody Feed Phil did not disappoint.

Yelp
My friends and I happened to be at Grafton Street and realized that we were near Murphy's Ice Cream, a place that was highly recommended to us. It was a cute ice cream shop, and one of the employees was offering free samples at the front. I wasn't even in the mood for ice cream, but that sample hit different. The texture of the ice cream was insanely smooth, and the Dingle sea salt flavor was on point. We all went into the shop to try out more flavors. I was blown away by everything I tried - from Irish brown bread to Kieran's cookies to Honeycomb caramel. I appreciated the simplicity of the natural ingredients they used. I settled for two scoops of the Irish brown bread and Honeycomb caramel on a cone and went on my merry way.

Yelp
Oh how I love Murphy's ice cream! This was a regular spot for me when I lived in Dublin and was a must-visit on my most recent trip back. Unique flavors (the Irish Brown Bread is a must try) and friendly staff that aren't bothered by ice cream indecisiveness :) They were more than happy to provide samples to help me and my friend decide. Even on a cold and rainy day I'd be excited to stop at Murphy's!

Yelp
What a fun little ice cream shop!! It's very popular so the line is out the door but they come outside with samples of their flavors which was really nice and made the decision making process in their super quick. Got 2 scoops with the cookies and cream flavors and the chocolate whiskey flavor. All the flavors were super fresh and unique and just delish. Staff was also super fun and having a little jam fest with the music. If you're looking for some ice cream I thought this was a great little spot to pop into!

Yelp
Unique and fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and homemade batch taste keeps me coming back to Murphy's Ice Cream with every visit and has me dreaming about it when I am not in Ireland. Seriously have not found anything like it in the US, but it's been fun trying Pro tip: try a scoop of the Irish Brown Bread and Dingle Gin together for a true taste of Ireland
google avatar

Margaret P.

Yelp
Seriously, I think this is my favorite ice cream shop of all time. Something about their sea salt ice cream was perfection for me. They have a ton of other flavors, and I really wanted to get a scoop of every single one of them, but I finally decided on the sea salt and chocolate. The staff is super friendly. As soon as we arrived, I was approached by a staff member who invited us to try different flavors which was really awesome. If you're in Dublin, definitely try this place out for some delicious ice cream.

Yelp
Oh boy! What a flavor-packed experience! Such an unsuspecting little ice cream shop serving unique flavors that really amp up the flavors. The line was long on a Saturday night but kept moving, so we didn't end up waiting more than 10 minutes. We sampled a lot of the unique flavors, the gin sorbet was way better than expected and the brown bread and butter flavor was shockingly tasty as well. But butterscotch stole my heart, a really deep and intense flavor and not too sweet, I could eat a whole pint of that. A must stop for anyone in the area, even if it's a chilly night.
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down some of the best ice cream I've ever had. The front desk receptionist at my hotel were raving about this ice cream when I asked for recommendations so I had to give it a try - and I am glad I did. There were so many flavors I wanted to try so I was happy they gave out unlimited samples! I went with butterscotch and chocolate. The sea salt was also extremely delicious. Already planning my next trip back to Ireland to get more Murphy's ice cream!
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
This is my favorite ice cream shop in the whole world. Get the sea salt flavor! You won't be disappointed. This is the only place on our week visit to Ireland that we REvisited! The employees are amazing and nice to talk to. They're really helpful, give you tastes and will answer your questions. Their store is clean and they keep it flowing in a nice way so even if it's busy it doesn't feel like it.
google avatar

Tracey K.

Yelp
Who doesn't love mixing flavors?! You get a taste first. Anything you want to try, the staff happily gets you sample. The staff is so friendly and loves to discuss the ice cream and all the flavors and where it's from and how they will switch out certain flavors. I had the chocolate whiskey and the coffee. Delicious! Hand made in Dingle. A must stop on your journey! Don't forget to sign the guestbook!

Yelp
Usual ice cream shop. Cute. Order at the counter. A few tables are in back. Line was long.
google avatar

Meg T.

Yelp
Murphy's ice cream was a recommendation from our book of Kells tour guide. After wandering in and joining the large line we found the service to be incredibly upbeat and friendly. We taste tested the dingle gin, which was amazing and I ended up liking it more than the chocolate whiskey (I later ordered a dingle gin drink in London because the flavor was so unique), and the honey really enjoyed the butterscotch and caramel as well as the honey. We both felt it was some of the best ice cream we'd ever had. All in all, if you are in Dublin for the day, definitely hit up a Murphy's if you get the chance!
google avatar

Mollie M.

Yelp
The ice cream flavors are rich and flavorful. Right as you walk into the parlor, they instantly offer you samples of any and all flavors- it was a super convenient tool in the decision making process and crowd control.
google avatar

Cristina G.

Yelp
A must-visit spot in Dublin! Love the unique flavors and the service was awesome. Super friendly staff. They helped me pick flavors to try and walked me through the best-sellers. Cute space to sit and really bright decor. Definitely treat yourself to a couple of scoops, and don't skip the Brown Bread flavor!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious ice cream and lovely folks work here. Went with a big group and they were accommodating and wonderful
google avatar

Sally A.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream & super friendly workers. Sampled a few flavors and everything tasted amazing. My favorite was the chocolate, and the popular sea salt flavor was also really good.
google avatar

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
We loved the fresh Irish milk in Murphys. Sean has taken his ice cream to new levels. The vanilla is out of this world. If you can do that well the rest is coasting. Thanks for the memories.

Lindsay D.

Yelp
Green tea ice cream apparently went viral, it's sooooo good truly tastes like green tea. I also liked the salted ice cream, closest to vanilla. Def visit!

Ella S.

Yelp
Amazing ice cream with creative Ireland inspired flavours and the staff were so friendly and happy to offer samples! Loved this place and would definitely go back for a post dinner treat. A little pricy for small portions but I think it's well worth it.
google avatar

Marina M.

Yelp
Super friendly & had me sample everything to make sure I made the best choice possible. The ice cream was fantastic & the waffle cone put it over the top. Would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Ally G.

Yelp
Get. The. Brown. Bread. Ice cream!!! You will thank me later!! We got the brown Brea and their version of cookies and cream. Both were delish but that brown bread. I dream about it. Extremely nice staff that was so helpful! Went here after watching Somebody Feed Phil and I'm so glad we did! Worth it and wish we could have it shipped to the states that's how good it is ‍
google avatar

Yelp
Craving ice cream in Dublin? Then head over to Murphy's Ice Cream on Wicklow Street! We first discovered this location while on a food tour, and it was so good we had to return! They have some very inventive flavors, so stop in and try them out! Recommendation: Try the Irish Brown Bread flavor. So delicious!
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
This review is specific to the Cork location but we had same excellent experience in Galway so I'm sure this applies to all of Murphy's locations. Best ice cream we've ever had. No competition here. Try the gin ice cream! Tell Abby of Cobh who works at Murphys in Cork she's the best!
google avatar

Luke H.

Yelp
Nice little tourist trap, according to the locals, but I also saw this on "somebody feed Phil". Regardless, the handmade ice cream here is very good. Get to try free samples. We tried dingle sea salt, raspberry, coffee bean, honeycomb caramel, dingle gin & pink peppercorn. Eventually ordered a large cone with a scoop of dingle gin & pink peppercorn, honeycomb caramel, and coffee bean.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Best ice cream we had while in Ireland! We stopped here in Dublin not knowing what to expect and got to try all these unique flavors. The chocolate whiskey was delicious. We later learned they had one of these in every city we were traveling to and it ended up being a nightly traditional. One of our tour guides recommended the sea salt and brown bread flavors. Both were delicious! Good stop for a nightly ice cream!
google avatar

Jo Q.

Yelp
Hands down this was the best ice cream place in Dublin. There are so many ice cream shops but this place has the best flavors and as their staff informed us, they don't add any colors to make it look like the flavor your ordered. It is all natural and the flavors so yummy. I tried the Honeycomb Caramel with the Dingle Sea Salt. These flavors were both exceptional and the Dingle sea salt was just the right amount of sweet cream with the salt it went perfectly with the honeycomb caramel that has pieces of honeycomb. They allow you to have 2 flavors and the small size was just the right amount for us. Their staff was all very nice and sweet when we were ordering since it was our first time. Stop by and try it.
google avatar

Anthony L.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream with a phenomenal staff! We visit every time we are in Dublin. You must try the honeycomb caramel with their smooth chocolate. Awesomeness
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
I don't even like chocolate ice cream and this place got me to order chocolate ice cream. 1/2 caramel honeycomb, 1/2 whiskey chocolate FTW
google avatar

Casie G.

Yelp
Holy cow this was amazing I'm actually salivating thinking about that ice cream sandwich. Def worth the stop in you will not regret it!

Will W.

Yelp
No reflection on Murphy's, but ice cream is overpriced in Dublin. Not sure why. It is out of sync with other food/confectionery. Ice cream was tasty, but I wouldn't class it as memorable.
google avatar

Chuck H.

Yelp
After visiting Murphy's Ice Cream in Killarney several times, my daughter was thrilled to find Murphy's down the street from our hotel in Dublin. From the lines down the street, you can see the popularity. Great staff and great ice cream.
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
Dingle sea salt is by fav my favorite flavor here followed by caramel honeycomb and kieran's cookies. I wasn't a huge fan of the brown bread, but can see why it's popular. The medium is a nice size for one, and the large is a great splurge size option!
google avatar

Ginger S.

Yelp
Some of the best ice cream ever! Unique flavors and staples, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The mango tasted like fresh fruit, while the jasmine green tea was my favorite! I felt like i was sitting down drinking a perfect blend of iced matcha and milk. The chocolate whiskey is one of my favs and one of their staple flavors! Friendly and attentive staff let you sample as many flavors as you like. Your taste buds will be thrilled!
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
Freshest tasting, most original flavors of ice cream I have ever tasted. Wow! Brown bread is served with almost everything in Ireland. Its hearty, sweet and spiced. To crumble it up and stuff it in ice cream is truly genius. Now about the sea salt, I'd go back for a bucket. They literally get Dingle salt water from the beach and boil it down until the salt in the water begins to crystalize. Then add the salt to their ice cream base. Again, pure genius. I think I can eat a whole bucket.
google avatar

Mac C.

Yelp
Excellent ice cream with lactose free options as well. Service was quick even with a small line. Cute place for a dessert or snack.

Jim B.

Yelp
Great ice cream and really great employees. One dude was offering ice cream samples to people waiting in the long line outside. He was very funny and it made the wait enjoyable.

LS C.

Yelp
There was a long line for ice cream but it was well worth the wait. Try the honey ice cream with raspberry sorbet. If you are feeling adventurous try the Irish brown bred paired with the sea salt ice cream. Not feeling adventurous? The cookies ice cream is great too. We tried it because it was made in Dingle. We will be back because it's really good.
google avatar

Kristan J.

Yelp
Friendly service & wonderful ice cream. I absolutely loved the brown bread ice cream!

Jeremy W.

Yelp
Murphy's Ice Cream is the best. Had it in Dingle and in Galway. The shops are clean and cute. The staff are friendly and helpful. The ice cream is delicious. You can tell that the quality of the ingredients is high with every bite. I wish they we're in the USA!
google avatar

Gabrielle D.

Yelp
Such interesting wacky flavors! Loved it. Pretty hopping so expect a little line because it's popular. Yummy ice cream and cute ambience.
google avatar

Carol R.

Yelp
Sizes are by weight so you can get as many flavors as you want in a small. I went with Dingle Sea Salt, Chocolate Whiskey, and Brown Bread. Yum!
google avatar

Jeff H.

Yelp
This is a must stop if you are in Killarney. The staff was very friendly and allowed for multiple samples before choosing the lemon and chocolate. I was not disappointed!
google avatar

Courtney A.

Yelp
Delicious!!!! My husband and I got Murphy's almost every night we were in Ireland- in both Dublin and Galway! Our favorite flavors were the sea salt ice cream and the chocolate whiskey. They are very generous with samples, so you know what you like. Favorite ice cream place in all of Ireland!
google avatar

Jaynee P.

Yelp
Visiting Ireland and never knew Brown Bread Ice Cream was a thing, it's fantastic! You can sample the other un flavors but we loved the bread with peanut butter and honeycomb, Delicious!
google avatar

Enit S.

Yelp
Hmmm, I have conflicting feelings about Murphy's. I know it's supposed to be super popular. I even saw it featured on Netflix, but I will say; service was fantastic. It's one of the things I love about Ireland, is how serviceable people seem to be in the majority of places you go to. They genuinely want you to enjoy ice cream here. However, I tried several flavors and while it's good, I can't say it's the best ice cream I've ever had, it's kinda pricey as well. I was really looking forward to loving the brown bread flavor but I admit I felt let down. I couldn't taste anything that resembled it, it was just sweet to me. I ended up buying the Irish coffee flavor, it was good, but that's about it.
google avatar

Olivia P.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! Just the right amount of decadence without being too sweet or creamy. I had the Irish bread + whisky chocolate
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Tried the irish salt and irish shortbread? Was it? I forgot but the bread wasnt good enough for me. The irish salt was super good in my opinion. Sweet and salty byt more to sweet and it made it very sublime and very delicious. Recommended and its not a tourist trap! Cheers!
