I’m writing this review based on my experience on 12/9. I arrived at 8:29 PM—exactly on time—to pick up my Online order, but the service I received was extremely disappointing. One of the employees (a Latino male, around 30–45 years old) refused to give me my order. Instead, he stalled me by pointing toward an empty salad bar and telling me the food was “over there.” After looking at it, it was clear the area was a refrigerated salad section, not a heated food station, and every part of it was labeled “salad.” The entire salad section was empty, while the front area—where the actual food was kept—was fully stocked. It felt intentionally misleading. When I returned to the counter, he continued delaying me just long enough for the time to hit 8:31 PM. At that point, he told me I was “too late” and that my order was “not in,” even though I had arrived at 8:29 PM within the proper pickup window. I genuinely don’t know whether he simply didn’t want to prepare the food or if there was some other reason behind his behavior, but it left me feeling unfairly treated. I had considered asking the other employee at the register (an Asian man who may have been the owner) about what was happening, but I didn’t want to put another staff member in an uncomfortable position. Overall, this experience felt unprofessional, deceptive, and frankly unacceptable for a business participating on Too Good To Go. I left feeling disrespected and disappointed, and I hope the management takes steps to ensure this does not happen to other customers. One more thing, another customer of Latino origin came after me and they were conversing in their foreign language, that’s when I believe he showed his phone screen and got the same order I did except he was allowed entry. Had I known known he would’ve stalled me I would’ve quickly took a picture of the clock there when it was 8:29

Everything there is overpriced—I mainly go for the convenience, but seriously, the buffet prices are outrageous. I’m not sure the older gentleman at the counter reads the scale correctly, as I often feel overcharged. Today, I got a small container with rice, chicken, broccoli, and a bit of salad, and it came out to over $17. On top of that, the staff at the register are consistently rude. One time, I saw a woman in front of me buy two sets of flowers. She asked him to wrap them together, and his reaction was incredibly rude—his expression made it seem like he was completely annoyed just because she made a simple request. Honestly, I think today might be the last time I go there.

Went to go get flowers for a birthday and a man in front of me at the register was also buying flowers. The man was greeted with smiles and a nice paper wrapping for his flowers. I go up next and hand my flowers over and he wraps them up in a cheap plastic bag?? I ask why mine weren’t also in a paper wrapping and the old man at the register looks at me like I was a bother and snatches the flowers out of my hand to wrap them as if I’M not the one paying with money. Extremely rude and will never come back. At least the flowers were nice so I appreciate the people working on them.

The Asian man working behind the counter is RUDE and VERY UNFRIENDLY to say the least!! For the cost, I expected not only better quality but at least some basic customer service. I won’t be coming back there are plenty of other delis in the area that actually value their customers and don’t make you feel like an inconvenience for spending your money with them.

So the Asian man cashier is very rude and sarcastic. They illegally charge extra for debit card and The buffet prices are ridiculous, they automatically round up the pound no matter if it’s more or less under or a little above a pound.

Very few articles and unfriendly staff. Additionally they didn’t want me to pay by a visa card without explanation or friendly service.

Great neighborhood deli — more upscale than most.

First time getting a sandwich here and it didn't disappoint. Their buffet food is good as well so at least you have options. The ladies at the register are low belt everything I go there. The ambiance is nice cool and quiet in there. The bacon was crispy, the sandwich was packed and that's what I love the most.

For a place to get a quick bite and some essentials, it does the job. Especially useful when everywhere else is closed. Decent amount of sandwich choices.

Long time market and bodega in the Murray Hill area. When my company was based here in the area I used to order flower arrangements and bouquets for our corporate lunch and learn events. They do a decent job with reasonable prices. Seems like all year long they have a large and fresh selection to choose from.

If there was Zero star, I would employ it for this establishment's attitude, goods, prices, and services. I have no recourse after years of feeling ripped off by this business to share that this market OVER CHARGES by a Huge Margin and their foods on multiple occasions have been either rotted or past their usage date. When I came back with spoiled foods that I had JUST purchased they just blankly stared at me and never offered an exchange nor refund. I tried to support a local immigrant owned business, but not only are their prices too high but also their customer service is terrible, and the cashier lords over customers in the most disrespectful way. This lovely neighborhood deserves a better market and a safe and healthy place to buy Good and Nourishing Foods. And unfortunately this establishment is Not that.

The cashier is rude and unfriendly. She threw items into my take away bag. The food however is good, fresh and delicious.

Murray Hill Market deserves 5 stars on all counts. The staff is wonderful, everyone's always so nice and works so diligently & efficiently Everything is super clean, even with the reopening of their Hot Food Bar, everything has been spotless and it makes me very comfortable when ordering food. Food! Their food is honestly super yummy and well priced. I've ordered their sandwiches & served myself from the Hot Bar and they've never failed me! Its the perfect little neighborhood bodega/deli!

Definitely still my favorite place to get a bologna sandwich! Even though I moved, I find myself back here when I am in the neighborhood and getting my usual bologna sandwich. I have tried other places but this place really packs it with the meat.

Terrible. Their prices are wrong on the menu and they tried to charge me double. The woman at the front couldn't have been more rude to me and proceeded to slam my food into the garbage can. Go somewhere else instead

Great neighborhood market with a delicious hot bar, which has very fair prices given the location! There was a variety of food on the day I went, such as bulgogi, salmon, japchae, roasted vegetables, fried chicken, and more. The place was very clean and well-organized. Although I didn't go to the sandwich or flower sections, they also looked great--the flower selection was especially beautiful and impressive for a smaller market.

There are a lot of deli/markets in New York but Murray Hill market has to be the best of the best, with friendly staff, delicious food and affordable prices.

The staff making sandwiches often make customers trying to order wait for long periods of time for no apparent reason. There is often a line of customers waiting to order, and the staff will make them wait- as they arrange the cheese, or stack the tomatoes... literally anything else other than taking your order. Not sure why they are stalling... but as a customer waiting to order it's uncomfortable to just stand there and wonder why they aren't asking you for your order... as you watch them pointlessly count slices of Gouda. While I typically love to support local businesses, it's tough to do so when the store acts as though it doesn't want or need your business. Do yourself a favor, there is a Guy and Gallard shop across the street - they are swift to help and take your order.

I always come here every time I need to get flowers. Their flowers are always fresh and the prices are reasonable, sometimes even cheaper than buying it from Queens. My most important thing is that the flowers last long and open nicely. This place never disappoints. If you need to combine some bouquets and make a larger one, you need to pick it, go inside to pay for it, take your receipt and show it to the guy outside so he can take apart the bouquets and put it together nicely for you. My mother's day bouquet costed $25 and I was thoroughly satisfied with my purchase. The bouquet was actually $15 and I added 2 bouquets of pink mini carnations which are my mom's favorite ($5 each).

Good stuff in there. They have everything you expect a bodega to have. The deli was good, had the bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it was delish! Prices are average so no surprise.

They make great sandwiches here. Coffee is always fresh. There is always a line to order food, make sure you have time before you get in. I got a toasted sesame bagel with egg, cheese and avocado sandwich for breakfast. Simply delicious.

This is our go-to deli in this upscale neighborhood. Excellent choices in the hot/cold salad bar that was recently added. Very friendly cashiers and staff who prepare the food. Clean and spacious inside which is good for social distancing. They carry very good brands of drinks, snacks, and wide array of fresh flowers.

They discriminate and did not let a service dog into the space. They will be hearing from my lawyer..

Great market to go to. I spent 30 minutes in here just looking at all the stuff. Great variety of everything. There's even a place to order food, salads and. Sandwiches. Very conveniently located to our hotel. Prices are average for the City. We will be going a few more times before we leave.

I was shocked by the variety and prices, a pleasant surprise. they have fresh produce even and frozen food for prices that can even beat the nearby trader joe's. I go here when I'm in a pinch for something like carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, and don't want to wait in a super long line haha. they also have an immense selection of food to go for cheap.

The mid-40s asian man that works the 7am shift behind the counter on a sunday morning has no respect for his customers. I have been a customer in this neighborhood for over 10 years. I was trying to speak to him about my order when he blatantly ignored me. I raised my voice to get his attention and he aknowledged me with diregard and attitude. I will no longer support a business that cannot understand the value of a loyal, local customer.

They have just about everything you could ever need as far as food goes. I have seen tourists from the hotel next door buying all their groceries here, obviously they were not quite understanding that they were paying the highest prices, but its convenience. The paninis are great as are the wraps and all the deli food is super fresh. I get the Tuscany Panini at least once a week.

DO NOT GO HERE! I used to get fresh juice here or sometimes a bagel and thought it was ok. Your typical corner bodega. But after today's experience I will never return. Bought a box of cereal and found a bunch bugs in the box. Not even in the cereal bag, because then I would probably from the manufacturer, but this was clearly because this box of cereal has been sitting on the shelf for so long. When we went back to request a refund and notify the manager that she should probably remove the rest of boxes she completely denied that its their problem and it came like that. I find that very hard to believe. Picture is posted unless the owners have taken it down. Regardless there is nothing else that would keep me coming back to this place. Their prepared food looks like its been there for awhile and a lot of their salad toppings come from a can.

This place is expensive for grocery/snack items, but the deli makes a pretty bomb bacon egg and cheese.

I work right around the corner so its convenient and I've been many times. How many times do I have to find SOMETHING (paper, foil, bug) in my food??? Never going there again. This is just ridiculous.

I'd like to give this place five stars but I've only had one thing here - the italian combo sandwich. Let's call it 4.6 Meat - awesome, bread - a little waxy but good, cheese - amazing, condiments - straightforward but decent The place has a million options in the case and they all look unreal, pissed I don't live closer so I could try this place again and again. But the weather and the rent, then I got all my stuff out here and my gf - it's just, it's a hassle.

DONT GO THERE! Worse deli in the neighborhood Been living on this block in 15 years and every time Ive been there which is rarely Ive seen rats or flies there it's disgusting and the food isn't fresh Doesn't matter how hungry you are don't go there, the staff is extremely rude and overcharge you with the excuse they don't speak English, it's a scam charging 17$ for a salad that's supposed to be 9$ the owner yells constantly at his customers, it's a bad place and should go out of business any second scaring people away

MHM is an incredible local market if you live in the area. I used to make great use of it all the time during my Murray Hill days. First of all, the deal on salads is great. You get 6 toppings, up to 2 of any given selection. Sometimes they'll let you get only 2 servings of meat, but other times you can get as many as 6. This all rings up to less than $10. There's a great drink selection, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in addition to fresh fruit and veggies, baking materials, cereal, yogurt, cookies, crackers, chocolate...you get the point. You can even buy individual Ferrero Rocher truffles, sometimes Reese's, and things like that. They actually have a pretty good selection of flowers at reasonable prices too. They make a mean BEC and pesto chicken wrap. Some of the employees don't speak the best English, but I've never had a problem with the language barrier. Once they get to know you, they'll know your "usual". They take orders over the phone which is something I'd recommend considering during busy hours. One complaint: sometimes they, seemingly arbitrarily, refuse to deliver even if I'm a block or two away (I know, I know...I should stop being so lazy and just go get it, but this episode of The Americans is so good and I'm comfortable in my pajamas). For a no frills, local market open 24 hours a day, this place has great prices and a great variety. I'd by no means go out of my way to make it here, but if you live in the area, this should be a staple.

I used to love going to the Murray hill market, but had an awful experience this morning. I ordered a Greek omelette platter from Louis. He said "we don't have anymore home fries", to which I asked "is there anything I can get instead?" His response: "no, it's past 11 lady. If you want the platter get here earlier". Ok... So I get to the register to pay and I check my order, which is literally just egg whites and onion (what I had asked for as an add on to the Greek omelette). I told the woman at the register that this isn't what I ordered (I had already paid). They told me to go back to the counter and ask them to remake it. Louis started yelling at me that I ordered egg whites and onion and that he wouldn't remake it for me. After telling him that I know what I said, he told me I don't know what I said (sexist much?). While all of this was going on he was treating the men around me with the upmost respect and calling them "sir" etc. I go back to the register and ask for a refund since Louis refused to correct my order. The helpful women at the register asked me to write my order down, and went over and told him to remake it. What does Louis do? He literally started swearing and calling me a "puta" under his breath as he walked to the back and refused to make it for me. He left his coworker at the counter to handle a long line of customers. However, his coworker made me my omelette. I asked the women at the register who the manager is and when he'll be back (Monday). And I told them "thank you for being helpful, I know this isn't your fault. This is just crazy to me- I've never seen or heard of customers being treated like this". When I finally got my order, Louis proceeded to yell at me to "come back on Monday I don't care". Needless to say, I will not be returning here and will tell anyone who will listen about this appalling experience. Side note: I paid for a platter but got an omelette with no toast or fries.

The made to order eggs, sandwiches, and salads are great at an even better price. The guys behind the counter work so hard. The cashiers and owners are just ok (new ownership about 2 years ago) and I wish they would hire more people to help those preparing the food. Tip: buy the grilled chicken and freeze it- lasts about 10 days.

Everything is overpriced and the service is really rude. I bought three bundles of flowers and they wouldn't even wrap them individually likes actual bouquets, all they did was brush me off and sloppily tape them together. Overall there are far cheaper convenience stores around the area.

I feel duped! I got a $5 freshly squeezed orange juice. However, it was incredibly watered down. The bottle ingredients reads: oranges, nowhere does it say water. I've made enough freshly squeezed oranges juice to know the taste. This is a scam, a pretty easily avoidable scummy one. It hardly tastes like anything, a total waste of money. I hope they offer a refund or some form of compensation.

I have been to this deli about five times and usually they have decent food and service. However, on my most recent trip I was charged an extra $6 at checkout. When I questioned the labeled pricing of the items and my total, I was given a quick "the extra is for tax and tip" by the main gentleman who usually runs the register at night. $6 extra for tax and tip after making a sandwich, really? I know delis are notorious for charging different prices on items whenever they want, but this was a ripoff. SMH, disappointed...

first and last time I visit this establishment.. I got a regular oatmeal with brown sugar and in the middle of me eating it, I found ants on it!!! Dirty place!!

Like a bodega - but cleaner! I settled for my usual cold-cuts-counter order - a chicken salad sandwich on rye + tomatoes, onions and a nice, sharp cheddar. Simple ingredients that conspire, when united, to create harmony of symphonic proportions. But here, the sludgy salad was distinctly unsalted, and the cheddar was dull as a Dickensian epic. Not that I was expecting D&D or G&G or anything, but its whole schtick is supposed to be that it's a half-step above a bodega.

Grocery oasis in the barrens of Murray Hill; we shopped here at least twice daily on our recent New York excursion. All neighborhood markets strive to provide a wide variety of goods in a small space and the Murray Hill Market passes with flying colors. The grocery section features fresh produce and bagels, normal and "gourmet" cookies, crackers, mac & cheese, ice cream, everything you need to satisfy your spontaneous culinary cravings. A must for the local market, beer; great selection from Brooklyn Lager to Duvel at very reasonable prices (Duvel $4.50 a bottle!). Barely any wine and no hard liquor but plenty of great beer. Groceries aside, the market whips up fresh sandwiches, panini, and salads on the spot. Quality meats and fresh veggies on the cheap in my opinion (especially considering the neighborhood). Also plenty of flowers available outside, I didn't inspect the quality or variety of these. I don't expect corner store clerks to overflow with smiles and courtesy but they certainly were tolerant as I may have been drinking a little before a couple late-night stops in here and they were perfectly friendly. If I lived near here I would definitely be in here all the time without a doubt.

I think this is everyone's go-to in this area. The food is solid and predictable, and if you go there enough the guys know your order and start it once they see you. They do, however, keep raising the prices. It's kind of annoying. Also, sometimes they are kind of slow when they get busy. If you go during the breakfast or lunch rush, be prepared. Go for the deli part. Not the groceries. Overpriced. If you really need groceries, go to Trader Joe's, or fairway.

So today was day 2 of lunch at the Murray Hill Market. And I have to say, the Pesto Chicken panini I had was pretty bad. Bad enough to remove a star, in fact. So why then am I NOT removing a star? Because I also discovered today that MHM carries Kronenbourg 1664, one of the few places in NYC that carry it. Rock on. You live to see another day, MHM, but I've got my eye on you.

They only have one person working making you wait for a very long time. This is New York City. Move fast or go home. Plus the line is always scattered where they don't know who is next and people are cutting you off left and right. They chose who they want to be next. Done going to this place. I'll give my business to someone else.

An upscale deli/market that offers alcohol and a variety of beverages to patrons and fresh sandwiches on the go. Thankfully, the salad bar is closed in the evening hours for hygiene purposes, as the look of salad bar food sitting in the open for so long is un-appetizing.

My company is located a block away and this place is an office favorite. I get breakfast and/or lunch from here at least 2-3 times a week and every time the service is fast, the sandwiches are great, and the salads are huge. Sandwich & salad prices are pretty reasonable, but the groceries are pricey (but normal for a deli in this neighborhood). The place is slammed during lunch, but the line at the deli moves very fast so don't be scared. If you're tight on time the salad line is always a lot shorter. Avoid ordering delivery during peak meal times. It's much faster to go there in person.

A little pricey but they do have some international candy like Lion and Bounty bars (Bounty bars are basically Almond Joys without the Almonds). Spacious area & they do have create your own salad here.

The worst panini I've ever had! It was soggy and nasty and the wax paper melted into the bread, creating an unholy union of papernini. It also tasted pretty iffy, so even if it wan't soggy as a paper bag of wet paper bags it would've sucked. Boo!

Though they can be a bit pricey, what isn't in Murray Hill? I got the guys in my firm to acquiesce (spelling word from 9th grade) to bringing back BEER FRIDAY. BUT, I was much too lazy and my arms were more than slightly sore from my intense Bowflex workout last night to go pick up the beer myself. Long story short: I called, and they delivered. Best thing is, right when I was starting to get thirsty, the beer guy came with my 6 half-racks in a milk crate. Yes! Life is good on this beer friday. I just didn't anticipate the fact that the Guiness would be gone in 10 minutes...

Very clean deli that has a great selection. They use quality ingredients that make for a really good wrap/sandwich/salad every time..........and they are open 24/7.

The omelets here are so much cheaper then at the diner across the street, but why do they ALWAYS run out of potatoes by 9am! They don't even offer to replace it with anything or knock a little off the price. I need breakfast potatoes! Guess I just have to pony up and go to the diner... ugg. The Market is pretty and the grilled cheese and salad (no up charge for avocado!) are good, but they also make some of the worse grilled vegetable ever (why so slimy). Oh and $6 for a bottle of Cholula hot sauce, HA!, I'm not that desperate. They do the the best flower selection in the neighborhood.

A bit disorganized during lunchtime but still relatively quick, and the food is very good. Good variety (aka all the usual suspects), very clean looking, and reasonably priced. Not a bad place to stop and grab a sandwich on the run.

This is my regular lunch spot because it's convenient, fast, and the deli sandwiches are always great. They make the sandwiches really quickly and the deli guys are pretty friendly for a busy Midtown spot. I got a salad today though and was not impressed at all. $7.50 for a large salad seemed reasonable but there was barely any lettuce in it. Maybe they're trying to leave room for the 6 free toppings you get (pretty generous servings) but the grilled chicken and apples I had in my salad did not taste fresh at all. Chicken tasted like it had been sitting out overnight. Still my favorite Midtown place for cheap sandwiches though!

I called this morning to place my order, half way through my order the person on the phone says hold on I have to write this down. So I start my order over. I go to pick up my order and the person on the phone never placed it. WTF

It's a deli-market in New York. Nothing special, but it has what you need. Bagels, sandwiches and coffee were all good. Friendly staff, and quick service. If it's close to you, it'll do the trick. But I wouldn't make a trek out of coming here...

You can get a sandwich exactly the way you want it! For me a deli that can do that and have all the ingredients you want makes for a super deli! You can also do your grocery shopping there. They got alot of cool drinks an drinks. They got muffins, bagels, salads, high end snacks, coffees, etc... Everything that can be imagined they got it.
