Murray's Doonmore Hotel, Bar & Restaurant - Inishbofin

We loved our stay in this hotel. Perfect location on the island, beautifully decorated rooms that were so relaxing and comfortable. We had dinner both nights and lunch one day. Although the menu did not change the choice was excellent and all dishes tried were delicious. The chef really understands flavour. Andrew, Donna and all the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend as a base to explore this wonderful island.

To celebrate my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, 12 of our family stayed here and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay. The rooms appeared to be newly renovated and were stylish, very comfortable, and impressively quiet. The shower was an unexpected highlight! We had dinner in the restaurant twice (highly recommend the Burrata!) and the food was delicious , as was the breakfast. The bar had a lively atmosphere, with plenty of live music in the evening. A very special thank you to all the staff who helped make our visit so memorable. Our entire family had a wonderful time and will definitely return. It was the perfect place to share a special family occasion.

This place is unbelievably special in every way it's hard to put into words. Everything is literally perfect. The owners Andrew and Donna excel in what they do and it shows. From the minute you're picked up from the ferry to when to when you leave you are looked after incredibly well. The new renovations are stunning. Rooms are exceptionally clean and homely. We ate here three times over our stay, lunch, dinner and breakfast and all was delicious. The live music at night was brilliant. My two grandsons enjoyed their stay immensely and were already asking to go back before we even left. The boardgames were a big hit. Can't recommend this place enough. Can't wait to return. We'll dine all. You deserve every success.

First class service, first class dining in one of the most beautiful settings in Europe. Andrew and Donna and their team make you feel like part of the family. After 10 days traveling around Ireland the Doonmore was by far our favorite and most unique experience. My only disappointment was in only staying one night. The island requires at least two nights to fully embrace the island life and to properly explore the island’s limitless natural beauty.

Our room had a lovely ocean view, bed was big and comfortable, and the whole place was spotless. We had a quality meal in the bar part of the restaurant. The seafood was top notch. Not sure who the chef is, but they knew how to cook and present the food. Trad music at 9.30 finished off the evening, just as we'd hoped. Owners and staff anticipated all the extras, like storing bags while we hiked before room available, maps, transport to ferry in the rain. We'll definitely stay again when we go to Innisboffin.

We enjoyed 24h on the island and will stay at Doonmore Hotel again. The owners and staff anticipated everything we might need before we knew it ourselves (eg lifts to and from ferry in the rain; big breakfast as fuel for hikes). The seaview room was modern, super clean, bed big and comfortable, and view idyllic. We ate fresh seafood in the bar/ restaurant which was cooked to perfection. Trad music at 9.30.

This was our second visit to the Doonmore hotel. We had a really lovely stay, this time with our dog. ||The food was gorgeous, the staff very friendly and helpful and the room had a dog bed and bowls for our dog. I felt fully recharged after my stay and it was also lovely to chat to other guests who were staying in the hotel. ||We will be back next year 😊

Our whole extended family stayed at Murray’s for 3 nights. The hotel has recently been renovated and redecorated - the decor is stunning and really creates a relaxing atmosphere. The food is exceptional, bedrooms are incredibly comfortable but really the staff made the stay. They couldn’t have done more for us during our stay and were always so accommodating. I can’t wait for our next stay at Murray’s. (For parents, the curtains in the bedrooms completely black out the room which makes for a stress free nap time 😄) Thanks Donna, Andrew and all the staff.
