Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rennes

Very nice art museum, way better than the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. It is much less known but so much more worth a visit.

It is one of those museums that has a lot of small collections of art in the galleries. Organised by art style and period. There is an archaeology gallery with items from Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Wondering through the galleries here and there, you see something that makes you stop to look better. The nice thing about the museum is that it's free

A great day out with some lovely and interesting art objects to see. It is generally free to visit and concentrates on French art.

Went with my family to visit and liked the speakerphone which I've never seen before.

I really enjoyed my visit to this amazing gallery . There are many great paintings to see here my favourites were by one Francesco Casanova . I also loved the copy of the Mona Lisa by Giovanni Rota alas I haven't seen the original as yet but I will one day . Jan I van Kessels Noahs Arc was cool too I thought . A most enjoyable day spent in Rennes ,Thank You very much .

Small collection, and not a lot that really caught my attention, but art is subjective, there are a few absolute gems, and the permanent collection is free to explore, and so worthwhile a visit if you are in the city.

Been there twice on Tuesday and Wednesday this week (28,29 January), it’s closed for no reason, wasting my time , even try to wait outside with my kid in the rainy days with a stroller . Just because it’s free then you close for no reason is really disappointing, at least put a annonce at the door.

Dozens of beautiful paintings, from the 16th to the 20th century, to see for free. They have "free" lockers for you to put your backpacks, etc
