Dress warm, as the temperature is set to cold. Hodler exhibition is pretty okay, but fairly death-oriented. He painted many more faces and landscapes, of which only a few are in the exhibition. Could have been nice to get more of those in. There is a funny booklet for kids, but only in French. Also: all signs are only in French. A handout is also in German. 2nd floor exhibition has very nice paintings and even an Picasso!

Fantastic curating, really interesting concepts placing different epochs in context, which makes appreciation for the art easier. First weekend of the month is the entry free. Only thing the audio guide could use better recording quality. All on all an excellent experience though.

Very nice person at the entrance who even spoke Spanish 😉 I went for the autoportrait exhibition which I didn’t like it so much, the building is very nice.

Wonderful small museum of modern mostly European paintings and contemporary visual arts exhibitions in a historic building. Free entry.

If you're an art enthusiast visiting Vevey, I highly recommend this museum. You can find works from all periods and even works of famous painters such as Picasso, Rembrandt, Gustave Courbet, and others – all within a beautiful neo-classical building, renovated inside while preserving the original museum's aesthetics, mosaic floors, wall tones and frescoes in the entrance hall. On the first weekend of the month, entry is free for everyone. Otherwise, the rates are reasonable. Really worth visiting.

Great temporary exhibition but the permanent exhibition was a bit boring

Very kind ladies on the desk. Free when you have a Swiss pass. Enjoyed many works of Kokoschka. There is a small cozy cafe behind the front desk. Highly recommand to visit when you are interested in Kokoschka.
