A fantastic free museum in a former church. The wrought iron works displayed as wonderful. Especially interesting are the old lock mechanisms. There are two levels to explore. Worth a visit if you are in Rouen and want to see some amazing craftspersonship up close.

One of the loveliest spots in this well-run city, filled with pieces of incredible craftsmanship and astonishing detail. We had fun guessing the function of some of the old objects on the shelves, which have long ago lost their usefulness. In addition the museum is free, so you would basically commit a crime against yourself by not passing by this place

This museum was such a great window into history. I enjoyed it so much more than I thought I would. There are thousands of interesting items. The old tools provide great insight as to what life was like before modern technology. I can't recommend it enough.

In an old church behind the fine art museum in Rouen, you can find a very interesting if slightly odd museum all about iron objects. It's a fascinating place, free to enter , the only downside being its limited opening hours and that everything is curated in French, leaving you grasping for Google translate to decipher what some of the objects do. Well worth a visit

Honestly did not expect this place to be this great! Free entry, beautiful location and great collection of items on display. Would recommend it to anyone! Only thing that could be improved is the accessibility for non-French speakers. Google Lens can get you places, but it would be a lot easier to provide additional details and explanations in English too.

Yelp
it's an interesting museum. we came here because it's one of our friend's favorite museum. the stuff in here is really nice. my favorite section is the chastity locks. once you have been here, you will never look at wrought iron the same way again. if you are in town, it's a nice visit.
