Great museum. I'd suggest doing this at the beginning of your stay because you might learn about some archeological sites around Alghero that you can then visit. If you read every exhibit and take your time you can spend about 2 hours here. They do a good job of showing you where things are located in relation to Alghero so you can get a visualization in your mind.

Very interesting place to know little bit more about Alghero

We were thinking wether to visit, but we really liked it and spend a lot of time reading and exploring everything! We were late and they waited us 10-15 mins after the closing time. Thank you!
