Quaint, nicely designed museum with 3 levels inside and the anfiteatro outside. Well curated and organized showing Roman and Chieti history. Entrance fee of 5€ and audio guide is free. Wish I could have spent more time here

The exterior, theater etc. is not that impressive and not that well preserved but the interior, the museum, is really nice with some impressive exhibitions.

For a place that is pretty far off the beaten path, they have a shockingly good collection of Roman artifacts. Definitely worth poking around for an hour or two if you ever end up here.

Maybe today I was the only visitor, except for a group of schoolchildren who were trying to revive the past. Most successfully. The museum has a small and impressive collection. Especially the reconstructed temple elements are interesting and well displayed. The museum is well designed modern place. Spacious. So if you are interested in modern architecture, you should not miss this building.

There are a lot of artifacts, but the only headsets are in Italian so you don't know what you are seeing. There's very little in writing to explain.

The museum is small and poorly kept. It's a shame since the potential is huge, and some of the historical objects are super interesting. Overall, it's a sad reflection of how underfunded such things are in the region. There was a complete lack of information about the objects displayed as apparently, during covid, information panels were removed and never hung back. Audioguides are available but only in Italian.

The restored (low on authentic details) outdoor Roman theater is still used for concerts and venues. The museum supporting the theater is a nice introduction to what was excavated in the near vicinity of the theater.

A wonderful museum, carefully curated and very atmospheric with very helpful staff making for a lovely afternoon.
