Museo Archeologico Regionale

Smallish but really interesting arcahelogical museum, that is undergoing renovation in December 2025. Really informative and lots of information about Aosta's past. You can walk in a real archealogical site in the basement. There could be more texts in English, though - that was a drawback. But definutely a place worth visiting. The entrance fee is only 5 euros for an adult and it covers also the criptoportico and San Lorenzo too - so it is really a bargain (especially since the ticket is valid for a longer period, so you can visit on separate days the different places)

Super cool and interesting museum with tons of artifacts, plus you can walk through the ruins at the lower level. Most signs were in Italian and French and some English, but if you speak another language you could just use the Google Translate app that uses your camera to translate text in real time.

Small regional museum filled with interesting artifacts and supporting detailed information. Entrance is included with the your Valle d’Aosta cultural pass and with a visit. Please be aware that the museum does close for lunch.

Very interesting, lots of Roman ruins to be seen, great value for 7 euros for entrance to 4 sites unfortunately very few English translations.

Interesting! Start here to understand the history and architecture of Aosta. Supercool heavily adorned horse breast plate from 1st century. Could do with more English though

Small museum with significant and interesting local finds from Roman period and later.

A good collection of local historic artefacts. Presentation is looking good. That part would have earned 4 to 5 points. But .... unless you are fluent in Italin, you will have to search for the few info tables in english. Dear local tourist board, please improve on the information in other languages!
