To enter the museum you have to walk through an emblematic passage where we were welcomed with live violin music, which made it even more pleasant. The museum is in an attractive colonial building with a lot of different spaces and a large in door patio, which all carries beautiful artwork of 3 native artist Fernando Garcia Ponce, Fernando Castro Pacheco y Gabriel Ramirez Aznar as well as some other invited artists. Very recommended to get a glance of the local art scene!

Very nice modern art museum. While party of the building is under renovation the museum IS open, just not easy to find the entrance. It is from the passage with the flower exhibition, and the entrance fee for foreigners is 60 pesos. Very nice to spend half an hour to an hour here.

Beautiful museum! It is free to enter, and it wasn't busy at all. The García Ponce exhibits were really nice, I really enjoy his work. I also loved the variety of pieces from other artists, and especially liked seeing a Diego Rivera painting. This is such a great museum, I will definitely be back!

Very nice art museum in the very heart of the historical center. Unlike other museums is also open on Monday. Free of charge. The exhibitions change regularly. You might expect to spend an hour there, or more if you are a slow-walker like me. There’s also quite a strong AC, better bring some light sweater.

Google needs to be updated. We came by and the location is no longer modern art. It has some nice exhibits as part of the “Tren Maya” but all old stuff. We understand things change but disappointed.

Good space outside the museum for cultural events, under cover out of the elements.

This place is no longer free. Peaking in, we thought we’d spend our pesos on paletas instead. The Camino de Flores outside in the covered breezeway, which is free, was excellent. Do check it out!

Overall the museum is nice you can spend minimum half an hour there. Sadly I didn’t like the art there. If you like the art you can spend definitely more time there. Locals and residents get a ticket discount.
