Museo de Historia Municipal

Nice building to walk around in. The artifacts are nice, but descriptions are only in spanish. This governmental museum has some shops in the tower of their building selling nice paintings od Cuban artists depicting streetwise for reasonable prices. The view from the top of the tower over the city us impressive. Only this is already worth the entrance fee.

Good place to go especially in the rainy day

Amazing view from the tower, cozy small castle and bad museum for high price. Compared to other museums we had been in Matanzas, Cardenas and Santa Clara this is more kind of tourist trap, the entry fee was like 10 times higher than in the other visited museum. The museum was poor, kind of missing much of context of the gathered things and mostly no signs in English or poor translations. Very high price and not well prepared museum. What is worth the money is the tower with amazing view of the city and mountains. Worth to visit for this reason or if you dont have any better things to do.

Museum itself is quite okay - nothing breathtaking though. A highlight of the visit is the view from the tower - a must-see point in Trinidad tour. You will get to see above the roofs of houses - splendid view!

My husband and I strolled into here two weeks ago behind a group so ended up avoiding the cover. Really glad we did as it’s 5CUC to take photos which is crazy. The interior is just lovely: a bit dilapidated like all of Trinidad but also delicate 19th century colors and decor all about. There are some haphazard exhibits- some in English- on Trinidad’s overall history but much is not translated and there is no information on the furniture and such. The views from the tower are stunning, SO much better than the views from La Popa. Note of warning, you’re still expected to pay for the bathroom which is again insane if you’ve already paid to enter the museum!!

Gives a great impression of the wealth of the sugar barons. Climb up to the roof to get a good view of Trinidad surrounded by the mountains.

Nice museum, the entrance was 120 pesos. The highlight was the view on the city of Trinidad and its surroundings rom the tower (included in entrance)

We went there mainly for the views from the bell tower - well worth the price! There's also a display about the history of the revolution but everything is written in Spanish only...
