A nice free museum with lots of small exhibits showcasing many native species of Chile. The "submarine" exhibit was a nice touch plus the small room showcasing skulls of some Chilean animals was also cool.
I would happily recommend this museum for locals and tourists of any age.

The museum is a great historical and cultural amenity in the heart of Valparaiso. We visited on a weekday and the museum was busy with school groups, along with a sprinkling of individuals like ourselves.
The exhibitions are well curated, include numerous interactive expositions and impressive specimens of tue flora, fauna and marine life of Chile.

Great museum to learn more about the Chilean natural history and current situation. The permanent collection of taxidermy is matched with new modern infographs that look really good and give a lot of information. Only improvement that can be made is adding English translation is some way. Note that nowadays the museum closes early, at 5 o’clock due to the current situation in Chile.
