An interesting concept. A specialist museum. Nicely presented. Some fine copies of older guitars. Presently being upgraded. A hats off to the lady in reception who greeted us.

Ever wondered what secrets a single guitar string can hold? The Museo de la Guitarra in Almería is a hidden gem that unravels the soul of Spanish music! From the intricate craftsmanship of historic guitars to the vibrant stories of flamenco legends, this museum is a must-visit. The interactive exhibits and live demonstrations will leave you humming Spanish melodies all day. Don’t miss the chance to feel the heartbeat of Almería’s musical heritage!

Beautiful building and good place to escape the heat. There are not many guitars to look at. Lots of reading material on the walls. The kids zone was closed at the time we visited and it was free entry - possibly due to the kids zone closure. I personally get more satisfaction out of visiting a UK music shop. Beautiful building that needs more internal investment.

If you like acoustic guitars then you will find this place interesting. Guitars from the earliest to the latest and how they are constructed over two floors with a lift if needed. Free entry so definitely worth a visit.

A small but wonderful musem. It is dedicated to Antonio Torres, spanish 19th century guitar maker from Almería that created the modern guitar. There are a lot of cool historic electric guitars with great stories. One can see the ways how the wooden guitars are made, also the historic story about the development of the guitar. Even though it is a small museum I found it really interestingg because of a lot of interactive content and reproductions. If one loves wood and guitars, a must see in Almería .

Small interesting museum. Reflects the importance of a local guitar maker who influenced the world. Visit takes about 30-40 minutes. Very close to the Cathedral.

Small interesting museum about guitars. Great desing. It has a massive guitar across the ceiling of a room. Allow 1 hour for the visit. Interactive room has 1 acoustic and 1 electric guitar to try.
