Amazing! They reacreated a Sicilian House and each room has movie scenes specific to that room (e.g Trainspotting for toilet, Psycho and others for bathtub etc.) You get to understand how Sicilians live, and also enjoy movie scenes. This is such a little gem of a place that you shouldn't miss. Ar the begining it is a little boring and confusing, but then you enter "The House of Cinema" and the experience is nice, cozy and filed with detailed decours and objects. No translation needed, just observe and enjoy! Just 4 euro. Very close to Catania Centrale train station.

Highly recommended but don’t come here expecting a literal history of cinema, Italian cinema, or even movie making: yea they do have historic projectors but really it’s more of an immersive highly creative sound and visual experience, no, more of an homage to movies. Just go and thank me later.

Amazing experience! I recommend it to everybody who is visiting Catania. The way they curated the space is genius! I had so much fun inside. Entry is only 4 euros but they have invested so much effort, it is definitely worth it!!!

Great place for movie fans. Not a traditional museum I suppose, but good fun. There's an English audio guide you can download to your phone. Only 4 euros entry, just go.

Quirky little museum dedicated to film. The museum is located in an old warehouse complex. It has a bit about the history of cinema and different rooms to explore that inspired by various films. Last admission is at 3.30pm but it actually closes at 5pm. €4 per person.

One of the must-see sites for lovers of cinema nostalgia. In addition to reviewing the development of cinema, there is a collection of old film projectors and cameras, Italian and international film posters, and amazing reconstructions of sets that appear as rooms from the 1930s to the 1970s, in which scenes from films that used the room's theme are projected: kitchen, bar, window to the street, study, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and more. It gives the visitor a special atmosphere that I have not seen in any similar museum. Highly recommended

good mix of artifacts like projectors and lighting equipment and actual film footage including an old fashion theater and poster art, as well as sets from old fashion films set in Italy and Sicily
