The chocolate shop is very small. You must pay 3 euro just to go buy the chocolate bars. The museum is in a majestic building, with sculptures and paintings carved out of chocolate, which is amusing. Don’t expect to learn anything at the shop however.

The things the artists make out of chocolate are amazing! Maps, towns, paintings, sculptures...and it smelled delicious. Relatively small as museums go, but low entry fee and a nice 20-30 minute visit if you look at everything closely.

It costs only 3 euros but still managed to underwhelm. Despite Modicas amazing history with chocolate, the museum does not create interest or awe in the visitor but rather bores with basic posters and basic sculptures. YouTube does a better job! Many other chocolate museums do a great job like live demonstrations, actually show the process, let visitors play with chocolate, etc. In this museum, even basic amenities are lacking..The rooms are dirty, toilet is dirty/mouldy, ticket is basically a random piece of paper, no card payment possible.

It’s a small little museum with some good information. It smells AMAZING because of all the cocoa sculptures. There is some wonderful history about where chocolate came from and how it evolved. It’s basically a few small rooms. Not some grand museum but for 3€ - it’s worth a stroll around. You also get a sample piece of chocolate!

This is really not a place that can be called a museum unfortunately. We had 30 min to kill before the tourist train (which was also disappointing) so decided to give a visit. Only costed €3 so not a lot of money was wasted but this place just had some posters / printed explanation in English on A4 and chocolate sculptures which didn’t smell great. Very small. The only good things about this place was the friendly ticket office person and two small pieces of chocolate they give you at entrance (so that we learnt that we don’t like Modica chocolate and hence didn’t waste our time going for a chocolate tasting). If you need somewhere air conditioned and access to a toilet to get a short break from walking around Modica you could consider visiting this place but that’s really not what a museum should be.

Very disappointing museum. It starts with buying tickets with cash, small rooms, strange smell, dirty bathroom. Tickets are cheap though, 3 Euro

In the museum interesting, with enough information about the history of chocolate production in this area. Quite a small space, difficult to access, but worth the visit.

€3 entry. Very small- 3 rooms with a few ok chocolate sculptures. The italy map in chocolate was cool. We were in and out in 10min.
