Small and nice, take the time to read, look and watch also the videos, then you get a more complete experience. For a free museum is well done.

3 stars for effort it's very very tiny not much to see here you go in go upstairs there's a couple of tiny rooms to see some artifacts very little gold there's a super tiny room that plays a video about the tiny museum it's also free of charge,I would have walked the 45 minutes to a bigger museum uf I knew how tiny this place was and not much to see at all.theres a slavery museum across the park it's $6-$7 usd- the park had a lot going on dances and a musical band lots of vendors

The Museo del Oro Zenú in Cartagena showcases over 900 artifacts highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the Zenú people, including intricate goldwork and ceramics. Housed in a beautifully restored colonial building, the museum features interactive, bilingual exhibits that explore Zenú society, technology, and environment. With free admission and air-conditioned comfort, it’s a compact yet engaging stop for anyone interested in Colombia’s pre-Columbian history.

This is a very small gold museum which you could probably complete in 30 minutes if there aren't many other people there when you visit. The nice thing is that this is free. They have a room showing a few films which are interesting for a few minutes. Useful as well for a short break during the heat of the day.

I had an incredible experience at the Museo del Oro Zenú! This free museum offers an enriching glimpse into the fascinating history of the Zenú culture before colonization. I highly recommend taking the free English tour, which is offered daily at 11:00 AM. Our guide, Francesco, was fantastic — knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the history and significance of the artifacts. I left the museum with a much deeper understanding of the Zenú people and their traditions. If you're in the area, this museum is a must-see!

Had an amazing experience here! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the visit even more enjoyable. The movie was fantastic— well-produced and truly engaging. The exhibits were also impressive, well-organized, and full of interesting details. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning guest, this place is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommend!

An exceptional and essential museum to visit while in Cartagena - bonus points for being AIR CONDITIONED and TOTALLY FREE. This museum is fairly small, but their video exhibitions are great, not too long, and very educational. Anyone visiting Cartagena should go here to learn about the indigenous people who thrived in this land before the Spanish conquistadores killed almost all of them off. The gold jewelry and other items are incredibly detailed and impressive. As some reviews noted: this is much smaller than the massive national Museo del Oro in Bogotá, but I don't know why that is an issue.
