Google
Wonderful museum that tells the story of silk production and manufacturing in Como. It was truly an educational experience that was worth a visit. You also get an audio guide so you don't miss anything! The machinery is very well preserved, and so is a delight to the eyes.

A wonderful one-stop wealth of information and insight into the history, chemistry, physics, mechanics, and machinery of the historic Italian silk industry! The Como Silk Museum accomplishes all this by engaging visitors through audio, video, braille, sign language, smell, and tactile modes of engagement! Truly a multisensory immersive educational experience! We will recommend this venue to all our friends! M & R Strohm, New Mexico U.S.A.

Terrific museum. Audio guides and signage in English. Processing machinery, samples of silk in various stages. Allow a couple of hours.

very informative, well presented and interesting museum about the production of silk and its evolution through the centuries. There are also plenty of looks and machines displayed. Totally worth, even if you're not much into silk 😁

I know what you're saying -- I've been to SO MANY textile museums, do I really need to see another? YES. History, culture, technology, and a friendly staff made this a really great visit, just a few minutes walk from the more tourist parts of Como.

Beautiful museum, the staff is doing everything they can to make sure you have a good experience. The museum covers ths complete process of producing and finishing silk. They also have a nice shop at good prices! Recommended!

very interesting museum in the bottom of an art school. was maybe expecting a bit more, but it was a good thing to spend a day in the rain in Lecco

Interesting museum dedicated to the history of local silk production. Audioguide included in the entry price was ok, but went on a bit (to be fair it was a very hot day and we were rather tired so it wasn't just the audioguide making us sleepy). Bit out of the centre, at least a 25 minute walk from the lake, but worth it.
