Interesting local history. Nice variety of exhibits, varying from silk/weaving machinery, how the silk is obtained, the printmaking process, sample fabrics, and a beautiful selection of clothes. Also there is a nice gift shop. Staff very friendly and helpful, even coming to find us shortly before closing to make sure we didn't miss seeing the exhibit downstairs.

Wonderful museum that tells the story of silk production and manufacturing in Como. It was truly an educational experience that was worth a visit. You also get an audio guide so you don't miss anything! The machinery is very well preserved, and so is a delight to the eyes.

Excellent museum with a complete demonstration on the production of silk from the worm until it is ready to be delivered to the store. Well-laid and easy to follow. The lad at the reception is super helpful. However the way to the museum could be signposted better, since it is well worth a visit while in Como

A wonderful one-stop wealth of information and insight into the history, chemistry, physics, mechanics, and machinery of the historic Italian silk industry! The Como Silk Museum accomplishes all this by engaging visitors through audio, video, braille, sign language, smell, and tactile modes of engagement! I know what you're saying -- I've been to SO MANY textile museums, do I really need to see another? YES. History, culture, technology, and a friendly staff made this a really great visit, just a few minutes walk from the more tourist parts of Como.
