"The Incredible Machines of Leonardo DaVinci exhibit Through the end of June, the Museo di Sant'Agostino hosts a fascinating exhibit on the Machines of Leonardo DaVinci - including his bicycle, the air screw, and a massive interpretation of one of his earliest gliders. Housing in a converted monastery, the building itself is also a lovely space to visit the 16th and 17th century paintings and sculptures on permanent display."

I was at the guided tour which covers also the sestiere, and by a coincidence it was individual, so I could enjoy listening to a professional guide full of knowledge and asking questions 😊 the collection gives many insights to medieval Genoa. Not a popular place for some reason, but definitely worth it.

The collection is rather nice and definitely worth a visit. The layout and presentation leaves much to be desired. And don't be surprised if a member of staff follows you around during your visit. This is not all that unusual in some of the lightly visited Italian museums and you shouldn't take it personal. In and out in 75 minutes. Worth the six Euros.

Nice collection and well documented.

Museum in a former monastery, has an interesting collection of peices mainly religious works from other churches and monastery's that have been demolished during Genoa's expansion. The building has been heavily remodelled so it doesn't feel as much like an old monastery as I had hoped staff where friendly and helpful, although my terrible Italian was a hindrance.
