Museo di Storia Naturale del Mediterraneo

For sure a great attraction for youngsters and to just them. It features both human and animal history exhibited in a variety of different showcases. Unfortunately by the time I visited the first floor was under construction.

A nice little museum that covers geology, dinosaurs, invertebrates, human settlement, large mammals (saber tooth tigers, mammoths, etc.), cetaceans, and minerals among other things. Admission for an adult is 10 Euros.

Very nice museum though the botanical garden looks like it hasn't been maintained for months. The staff was friendly though, and the parts within the building were maintained well. I did enjoy visiting so I would surely come again if I knew what I know now. It was a pity that most of the descriptions only were in Italian but that didn't bother me as much as the condition of the botanical garden.

This Museum is almost exclusively in Italian but it has informative pictures. The museum containing information about human evolution from monkeys to what we are today, family tree of animals and dinosaurs and a marine exhibition with a 20 m long whale skeleton.

Small museum on the outskirts of Livorno. Helpful staff, nice outdoor area, for a small display, a lot of good exhibits. Their acquarium exhibits were not live - the only disappointment.

The museum in itself is nothing extraordinary, but it is quite interesting nonetheless. I really like the park around it, which also has a small amphitheatre, a weather tower and a modern annex used for temporary exhibitions.

A very nice museum. Great for children. Not too big.
