Museo Iconográfico del Quijote

Had no clue about this place but left very impressed with HUGE Don Quijote collection & more. On edge of Centro easy walk but well worth a visit. No wait during week & only 35 pesos entry fee.

Fascinating museum for anyone interested in Spanish history, literature, and iconography. The paintings are imaginative, the sculptures and bronzes are impressive, and the displays & signage are instructive. There was no entrance fee both days that we visited.

I was in Mexico for work and being a passionate Don Quijote fan, traveled five (5) hours to go to Guanjuato to visit the museum. Time well spent, beautiful work art and exhibition. My only disappointment was that they don't have nice Don Quijote figures for sale. If you see them on the street, buy them, will be nicer than those on the store.

Such a fun museum. If you are a fan of the extraordinary gentleman from la Mancha then you will really enjoy it but even if you've never read the book it's worth a visit

This museum exceeded our expectations! We really enjoyed the many levels and exhibits of Don Quixote. Makes for a great two-three hour visit if art museums are your thing. This is also one of the only museums that has transcribed the Spanish text to English. Very helpful, thank you. Loved the book store as well. Highly recommend a visit! Visit on Tuesday when it is gratis!

Even though the museum was not that big, it had a lot of important information. I was fascinated. I would like to give kudos to Mr. Ascension Guerra Aguilar, he gave us a lot of the enriched story of Don Quijote.

This museum should be a must in Guanajuato Capital. It is a museum that shows a lot of culture about this important literary work that represents importance in the Spanish language.

Very cool art and history. Beautiful building. In house gift/bookshop and another nextdoor. I didn't realize that Cervantes never set foot in Mexico! I got a lot of nice photos.
