Museo Leonardo Da Vinci

Really cool to learn about the innovative Da Vinci, not just the painter. Amazing collection of his machine work, anatomy studies and about the his life works. You also learn about how they made the great dome for Santa Maria del Fiore . The museum is open to early evening, perfect if you’re late arrival as I was. Doesn’t take to long to walk around, 30-45 minutes, worth the experience!

An excellent museum, especially to visit with children! You can see (and even touch) many models of Leonardo's inventions—models you’ve previously only seen in books. We visited the museum during the off-season, so we didn't have to wait in line.

What an incredible museum! What I loved most about it is that there are not only exhibits to look at, but also exhibits you can and should interact with. This approach allows you to fully immerse yourself in the museum's theme and literally touch the works of a great master.

A very interesting and educational experience featuring full-scale models of Leonardo da Vinci’s work. Not only learn about the engineering process but also the scientific thought process. There is an entire room dedicated to interactive exhibits. A man that seems to get overshadowed by his paintings, was centuries ahead of his time and gets lost in crediting him for his genius inventions! We visited in January so it wasn’t busy.

Good Fun: Engaging Models and a Quick, Pleasant Visit This is a very good place to spend some time, offering an engaging experience that is suitable for both children and adults. It is genuinely fun to see the inventions presented as models, which are well-designed and clearly labeled. While it is a relatively quick visit, the time spent here is enjoyable and worthwhile. We recommend it as a solid, entertaining attraction, especially for children, that doesn't require a large time commitment.

We had a lovely experience here. It’s a museum full of information but also fully interactive. Not a dull moment with my 9 year old. Be sure to go to all three floors!

Our family had an absolutely fantastic time at the Leonardo Interactive Museum. If you’re looking for a break from traditional "don't touch" galleries, this is the place to be. Interactive Fun & Learning The highlight is definitely the ability to experiment with Leonardo’s inventions. Instead of just looking at sketches, you get to operate the machines yourself. It makes learning about physics and engineering feel like a game—my family was engaged from start to finish! Educational & Accessible The Gallery: Beyond the machines, there is a beautiful section dedicated to his most famous paintings. Multilingual Support: We were impressed to find that tour guides and digital resources are available in multiple languages, making the history accessible to everyone regardless of where you're from. Amenities The Cafe: We took a break at the onsite cafe. The gentleman working there was incredibly polite and welcoming, which really added to the positive atmosphere. The Gift Shop: There’s a great selection of souvenirs to take home, ranging from small mementos to complex model kits of the inventions we just played with. Pro-tip: Buy your tickets in advance online to skip the queue—it’s a popular spot for a reason!

This museum houses replicas of Leonardo’s design. I had no idea he designed so much for war. At the Uffizi Gallery we learned he helped the City of Milan keep the King of France at bay. So the weapons made sense. (You can find his paintings at the Uffizi.) All the models we could “touch” proved to be intriguing. My favorites were perpetual motion. The gym was also fun.
