Museo Mille Miglia

What an incredible museum set in a beautiful old monastery. It charts the history of this iconic race, 1000 Roman mile round trip from Brescia to Rome and back. A wonderful display of all the cars that raced over the years. We particularly liked the floor tile inlay, which details the driver, car and average speed year after year, and also gave an idea of the state of the roads. Well worth a visit for racing and non-racing enthusiasts.

Very nice museum about the history of the famous Mille Miglia race. Nice assortment of cars and other historical memorabilia. The recreated parts of how the condition of the original race tracks looked like were very interesting to see.

Fantastic museum all about the historic races. Well worth the short bus ride to visit.

Great value for just €10 entry, lovely selection of cars. AC Ace and Mercedes 300 SL's were my favourites. Nice restaurant/bar opposite for lunch too.

Museo Mille Miglia is worth the quick stop in Brescia on the train line from Desenzano (Lake Garda) to Milan. The Mille Miglia is a storied race that, although in a much different format, continues today in this region. The museum is set in an old convent and the building and the grounds are very pretty. The only reason for a slightly lowered rating is due to the museum being rather small-it ends a little abruptly, but it is also very very hot inside. The day I toured the museum it was 88f outside and had to be almost equal to that in certain parts inside the building. Other than those particulars the museum is a must-see if you are nearby.

Lovely place if you are into motor racing, cara and history of motorsports. Nice collectables at store and restaurant available for a pit stop.

It’s clear a lot of love has gone into putting this collection together, and the condition of these truly vintage cars is remarkable. I also liked the glass floor examples of the road constructions through the decades.
