Museo Moderno

Beautiful and informative place! The staff was very friendly and spoke english, a rarity for Buenos Aires. The exposition notes are also written in both english and spanish. Lovely little cafe with good latte. Fast wi-fi. Took me 4 hours to see everything and have a little coffee break in-between. I recommend coming there with clear head, energy and a lot of free time.

I was expecting more from this museum. The building is quite big but exhibitions are few and sparse. The museum store is small and mainly carries books. There is a coffee shop in the building.

This is an amazing gem of a museum that just doesn’t get the hype it deserves. Beautiful art works in ever nook and cranny!!! Just lovely. And a great coffee/gift shop. Easy to get to via public transport and the staff is so lovely. I’ve been here so many times in 9 Yrs and I’m never disappointed

Better than MALBA! Must be seen!!! Went with a friend to Museo Moderno on a museum tour. Had the most incredible time!! I have been to Buenos Aires many times and seen most museums and many exhibitions but Museo Moderno eclipses all!!! Victoria Noorthoorn is the Director of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires (Museo Moderno) since 2013. Under her leadership, this public museum, funded by the City Government of Buenos Aires, has undergone a deep process of growth and transformation. Two members of Victoria’s team Ignacio and Fran were very helpful and showed us around and proved to be very knowledgable of artists and history of creating artworks. We had very engaging discussions about their meaning. Museo Moderno has 9 wonderful exhibitions running at the same time. My favourite artwork was Manifesto Verde initiated by Garcia Uriburu and the subject is very close to my heart, highlighting the importance of living in harmony with a nature. There were many other wonderful artists and artworks in the museum. Museum also has lovely cafe with delicious medialunas and an art bookshop. If you are in BA, Museo Moderno is a must to visit!

Very nice museum for contemporary art. I especially liked the exhibition about nature in Patagonia. The presentation was very strong.

Honestly, this museum is not worth the time and travel to visit it. There are a few interesting pieces, but the rest is boring, post-modern art with some type of political message. Buenos Aires is such a beautiful city, with lovely city parks filled with statues. The public art is much better than the stuff in this museum. Wednesdays are free entry

Small, half empty museum. Chargea only 500 pesos for entry. 10 minutes to see all. Looks like students' work. 1 min away there's a much better museum. Recommended of you got time to burn away.
