It’s good, not great. I was expecting more in-depth info about local culture and more detailed info on Tiwanaku, but all I found was a sweet guide who tried it real hard. Lots of vases and pots, one gorgeous little statue called Illa de Ekeko.

Good place for archaeology lovers. There are many things (60-70% of exposition) from ceramic. Good guide.

Outside better than inside

20.Jan 2023 The museum is still closed, apparently since the pandemia. According to the guard/police most liklely for another month. Google maps and the facebook presence of the museum have "mummified" the old opening hours. Try to call the museum or touristinfo before wasting an hour to get there. Don't trust internet information about opening hours, they are archeologists... they tend to be outdated.

This museum is not open on Saturday and Sunday. Lots of staff in there but doing nothing. Didn't provide any info about why it's not open. Waste of public funding

Shame this museum is still closed since the pandemic, although it still says it’s open on Google maps. Hopefully it opens soon for others to see!
