Very interesting and thorough museum about bergamot and the history of its production in Calabria. There was so much great information and an audio guide in English too. The guide was very knowledgeable as well. I even was able to taste bergamot juice and candy. So glad I stopped by. Entry is by donation. I loved the old photos of the production.

What a lovely place! You can learn more about the bergamotta history. The staff is so friendly. They make you feel like home. And they also give you some bergamotta hot drink to taste the fruit. Amazing experience.

Really cool little museum! Lots of interesting info about the history of bergamot, and you can listen to everything on your phone through their audio guide, which is super handy. You also get to try some bergamot-based food and there’s a shop with so many great things - perfumes, honey, oils, and more. The staff are genuinely friendly and happy to chat, which makes the visit even nicer. It's free to enter, but you can leave a donation if you'd like. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in Reggio Calabria!

We were actually thinking... would it be worth visiting a whole museum dedicated to a fruit? But it turned out to be an extraordinary experience. First of all, we were welcomed by the wonderful Signora Mimma Triglia, who introduced us to the bergamotto citrus, explaining its benefits and healing properties. We were truly touched by her warm and simple approach, by the quality of the products, and by the volunteer work that both Mimma and her lovely colleague do at the museum. If you’re thinking about visiting — please do! And make sure to say hello to the two gorgeous ladies who made our day in Reggio.

Incredible history and knowledge shared by the museum lady in English. It’s definitely a highlight of my trip in Reggio Calabria. Bergamot is such important part of Calabria history-and it’s products are great for our health, definitely recommended.

Just asking for any kind of donation, but definitely need a support from local or national authorities! Lot of information given by the curator. You will learn how it was harvested, find historical utensils, see the products based on bergamot oil or bergamot juice and many more. A chance to buy a souvenir or local product.
