Free entrance. Go see the Monestary which has been lovingly restored. Art work was a mis mash of things and not very cohesive. Great place to cool down on a got day with strong aircon.

Contemporary art museum. We found some works interesting but overall the museum lacks excitement. All texts are only in Spanish and name plates next to pictures hang too low for an average north European.

Hidden Gem, very interesting museum!! Museo Patio Herreriano in Valladolid impresses with contemporary Spanish art in a stunning former monastery. Spacious, serene, and well-curated, it’s perfect for art lovers and photography.

Amazing building almost entirely devoid of art. The few pieces it had were badness of the kind done by school-age art students. I walked around the whole enormous building and was out again in 20 minutes. A complete curatorial failure basically - so much potential in the space missed. It could at least be filled with new works donated by Spanish artists from across the country to showcase them. Might be worth a visit in 200 years once it’s filled up but not worth the special trip right now. The best thing about it is it’s free.

It is free entrance and that is the best part. But like all the museums I visited in Spain, there is no guides nor titles in any other language.
