I visited on a Wednesday afternoon and got free admission. What an amazing museum! It was fairly quiet, only a few other people there. The rooms are beautifully preserved and restored, and you get a very good feeling for what it was during Bolivar's life. The labyrinth garden was incredible, fresh air beautiful plants, and breathtaking stonework. It takes about an hour to see everything at a moderate pace.

I love little museums like this. History afficionados will love imagining Simon Bolivar in his own home. Another little treasure in Bogota that stimulates the imagination and refreshes the soul.

Interesting but not really grand!
Interesting enough place, not grand by any means and with limited English signage. Allow 1-2 hours. A 4,000 peso or $1 entry fee.
