Museo Teatrale Carlo Schmidl

Theatre museum mostly dedicated to the extensive collections of musical instruments. Also many 20th century costumes, some marionettes, laterna magica and temporary exhibition space. All inside a beautiful historical palace. Cheap tickets (full price 4,50/reduced 3,50) so really worth a visit.

Beautiful historical building of the Serbian shipowner from Trieste. It has very nice decorated façade with multiple sculptures on it, overlooking the Canal Grande.

Must see place...museum,old instruments...Respect for Gopčević family and their patriotism!

This place is very under appreciated. Great museum!

Absolutely must, to visit. It is a museum right next to Grand Canal in Trieste with an amazing collection of the old photographs of the city life in black and white. On the second floor there is collection of the beautiful theatre costumes. The third floor of the musical instruments and other music artifacts is also very interesting.
