Museo Victoriano Lorenzo

Great museum. We had the guide to our selves and she explained all in detail. It covers early times through current time frame with a focus on the local. The name sake did a lot for the community.

I really enjoyed this visit to the museum. There were layers of history, including natural, pre-Colombian, religious, and more recent times. Beautiful murals, and a well done exhibit of Victoriano Lorenzo himself. Then, outside, a "quinche", depicting a local homestead in the rural area. Our guide was very knowledgeable and took her time explaining many different facets of the museum. And just about the right amount of information. Well worth the visit.

There is not too much to see in this museum, but the museum does provide some interesting history about how El Valle was originally formed and how the area has changed over time. The exhibits are in good shape. Our tour guide was very helpful. If you need a tour in English you might have trouble finding an English speaking guide.

What a wonderful little museum. Upon entering, your guide takes you through each display area and carefully explains every diorama. He also allows you to ask questions, which he cheerfully answers. By the time you are done, you will have been given a great history lesson for Panama, and El Valle de Anton, not to mention the museum namesake, Victoriano Lorenzo.

I would love to tour this place over again. They had a very good representation of the early indigenous housing too.
