This tribute to Bellini's music beats Saltzburg's to Mozart, Bonn's to Beethoven and Pesaro's for Rossini. It does so with a series of rooms set up like theatres. Each play the story of part of his life and his best know arias. There is also a museum in the flat where his family lived. This tells his story but is much less inspirational.

A beautiful museum. I particularly enjoyed the section about Bellini’s work more than the family home itself. It’s well-documented and very interactive, offering great insight into both the man and his music.

Great little museum with a lot of interactive places, we were pleasantly surprised! My kids enjoyed a lot evem though they're not super excited for museums in general. Recommended!

A great little museum based in the building where Bellini was born. Go upstairs first and see short films taking you through his short but highly successful life. You don't go to see the house, it's just blank rooms historically BUT they have been creatively and beautifully designed so you feel like you might be in a theatre. Then go downstairs and see some more detail specifically relating to his life in Catania, his return as a successful composer and his final return after his death. You also get entry to a modern art gallery up the road, but didn't have time for that. I feel sorry that people leave bad reviews for a place they didn't go into.

I had the pleasure of visiting Museo Belliniano recently and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The museum is very well curated and offers a unique glimpse into the life and works of the artist Vincenzo Bellini. One of the standout features of the museum is the combination of historical items that surrounded Bellini, from instruments and partitions to letters and a death mask. This collection provides an immersive experience that truly allows visitors to understand the artist and his place in history. In addition to the historical items, the museum also features unique objects and videos based on epistolary dialogues, as well as settings recreating opera elements. These elements, along with the knowledgeable tour guides, really bring Bellini's life and works to life. One of the things that struck me was the group of lovely students who were guiding visitors. They were clearly well-prepared and had a deep interest in their own history, which was very heartwarming to see. Overall, I would highly recommend Museo Belliniano to anyone interested in art, history, or simply in having a unique and immersive experience. It truly felt like a privilege to have this opportunity to learn about Bellini's life from his own perspective, and I cannot wait to return again in the future.

Well, I cannot say much, because the museum was closed during the working time - Monday at 11:00 o'clock... Rather dissapointing experience...

Be aware of the fact that the last ticket emission is always one hour before closure. Which is only stated at the entrance to the museum, not online.

Small museum but full of interesting items, and some informative video presentations. Very friendly staff and beautiful building.
