A wonderfully informative, thoughtfully designed small museum that focuses on the fascinating culture of Provence and particularly the distinctive Arlésienne cultural influence that Arles is so famous for. Exhibits are well labeled, with interactive screens that display detailed descriptions of literally every single little object and artifact being exhibited - in French, English AND Italian. Lots of interactive displays, like a case full of musical instruments that you can touch a screen and a small speaker will start playing a sound clip of it being played. There are very kind and well-informed docents throughout the galleries who will gladly show you how to operate everything and they seemed to be happy to answer any questions asked of them. This was an absolute gem of an experience, and it is a highly rewarding and enjoyable visit for people who are interested in the culture of South Mediterranean France. It does a great job of evoking the culture, history and atmosphere of Provence.
